Happy Monday! Before we get any further into February, we need to take a look at a few of our favorite things from January, 2025. It turns out my readers love to see what others are buying and what I’m enjoying. So pour something refreshing to drink and let’s settle in to look at a few of our top sellers at Dressed for My Day, as well as a few of my favorite things.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.
A Few of Your Favorite Things January 2025
We determine the month’s top sellers by looking at the analytics in the affiliate programs I work with. But all I know for sure is that these links were clicked on and a purchase resulted. Shoppers actually may have purchased other things once they were on the retail website. Still, I feel reasonably sure – with numbers like these – that indeed these were the top sellers for the month of January. Let’s see what women were shopping for here at my blog, on my YouTube channel and in my LTK Shop.

I always have my assistant Lucy pull the analytics and set these posts up for me, so I’m discovering the top sellers as I write up this post. Fun! We’ll go through them from number nine to number one.
Harriett Roll Neck Pullover
This is a great time of year to invest in a cotton sweater or two. I find that I wear them frequently during the spring, and I often need one in the summer, too. This pretty blue roll neck sweater is a gem.

The Harriet roll neck sweater has some pretty detailing, is 100% cotton and fits true to size. I’m wearing a medium.
Talbots Straight Leg Jeans
Hahaha! This is funny. I mentioned in last Wednesday’s YouTube video that I won’t be buying anymore of these straight leg jeans and viewers snatched them up. Well, they are great slim fit, straight leg jeans. But I discovered I have two identical pairs.

Indeed these Talbots straight leg jeans are my favorites for pairing with a sweater and Chelsea boots in the winter. They fit true to size or maybe a little large. Whatever size you normally wear in Talbots jeans should work well. I also like that they are a darker mid wash.
Tinsley Bow Suede Flats
You’ll actually see me highlight these pretty suede ballet flats in this week’s YouTube video. Suede is actually trending for spring and into summer. A little odd, but I’m here for it.

These shoes are very comfortable to me. They fit true to size and have just a bit of cushion. The color is perfect for pairing with ankle length jeans and pants into the spring.
Nic+Zoe Denim Days Sweater
Hahaha! I see we have the same photo here again, this time highlighting this Nic+Zoe sweater. I shared it in this YouTube video as a great way to freshen up your winter wardrobe.

The sweater (and here) is a cotton/polyester blend, but it has a lovely drape and feels great on the skin. It fits true to size.
Ribbed Raglan Sweater Dress
Fun! I wore this classic black sweater dress to church yesterday! I did a little reel about how I styled it a little differently here.

This sweater dress is super comfortable, but also very slimming and chic. I got SO MANY compliments on it yesterday. Today you’ll get 25% off at Talbots. And remember, you can always use code KAYBOOTS for your first pair of Ally boots. See the reel to see the different ones I wore yesterday!
Quince Cashmere Crewneck Sweater
You know I love this Quince cashmere crewneck sweater. Not only is the price pretty amazing, but the quality is great. I love having an oatmeal colored sweater in my closet year round because it works so nicely with most everything.

I took a similar sweater on my Alaska cruise in May and wore it frequently. (I didn’t have this one at the time or I would have taken it.) This is the perfect cashmere sweater to travel with, too, because you can wear it by itself, layer it over a tee (see below!) or drape it over your shoulders. It runs true to size for a fitted look, but I sized up to a large for a more oversized look.
Talbots Southampton Pants
I got this Talbots Southampton pants last year and wore them so much. They’re still in my closet (obviously). They’re a lovely polyester fabric with a nice amount of Spandex, so they’re comfortable and the drape is great.

I think these are a very modern silhouette and perfect for dressing up or down. So that makes them a great travel pant, too. They come in other colors as well.
Talbots Pink Puffer Jacket
Here’s a fun favorite. This bold pink puffer jacket has been a favorite of mine this winter, too. Unfortunately it is sold out.

Refined Shrunken T-Shirt (#1)
And our number one top seller is no surprise to me. I received so many questions and requests for this refined white shrunken t-shirt after the video in which I featured it. It works beautifully under crewneck sweaters to add that modern touch.

The shrunken t-shirt is also available in black. It does wear very close to the body, so I sized up to a large for a more comfortable fit. I will wear mine into the spring, but probably usually under a jacket. It’s quite presentable, and the aesthetic is polished and refined.
Kay’s Favorite Things

Now it’s my turn to share with you a few of my favorite things from January, 2025. I think I’ve shared all of these somewhere – either here or on my YouTube channel or in my LTK Shop. But in case you missed any of them, these are items I love talking about!
Dr. Brandt Sun Shield SPF 50
I was invited to share the Dr. Brandt eye creams I’ve been using this month, but they also gave me the opportunity to get one more product from their line for free. It seems like every time I find a face sunscreen I like, they discontinue making it. (Regulations must be tough or ingredients are expensive, I don’t know.) So when I saw that Dr. Brandt had a liquid sunscreen with SPF 50 I snagged it.

I’ve had to have several precancer and basal cell spots removed from my face, so I don’t mess around with sunscreen. I use it daily. And I love that this Sun Shield has an SPF of 50 and is a 100% mineral sunscreen, which yields the best protection. It goes on like a dream, absorbing quickly. And my makeup primer goes over it very nicely, too. Definitely worth the price; I’ve already reordered.
Body Brush
I shared my body care products last week in this blog post. Most of those items I’ve been using for months if not years. But just this past month I started dry-brushing before my shower each day. Wow! What a game changer.

I won’t go into all the benefits or the how-tos here because I shared all the details in this video. Be sure to check it out if you need help with lymphatic circulation, blood circulation, digestion, body or joint aches or skin health. It looks like the brush is sold out at Nordstrom, but you can get it here.
Veronica Beard Saul Cargo Pants
One of my biggest tips for wearing a classic wardrobe stylishly is simply to add a few key modern pieces to that more traditional closet. That way you’ll look current and so chic even when you’re wearing classics that have been in your closet for years.

That’s why I purchased these Veronica Beard Saul cargo pants. And I have absolutely loved having them in my wardrobe. I’ve created several modern looks with them. One of my favorites is below. They fit true to size, but do run very long. I had mine hemmed and I still wear a heel with them.

Sezane Chlo Shirt
I mentioned in last week’s YouTube video that I’m no longer buying “fussy, girlie” things. They just don’t work for my style aesthetic or my personality. But I do like to strategically add feminine things to my closet that can give me lots of mileage.

This Chlo shirt was my first purchase from Sezane and I love it. The blouse is comfortable, beautifully made and so impactful without feeling fussy. It runs true to size or maybe a touch large. I’m wearing a medium. It comes in other colors, too.
Rifle Paper Co. Valentines
I’ve already written my Valentines cards and now I just need to mail them. I had such a nice time sitting down with a cup of hot tea and these pretty, blank cards.

You can actually buy this card as a single or a set. I definitely recommend getting the set so you can write out a beautiful sentiment to your loved ones and surprise them with a thoughtful card. You can also use code KAY20 for 20% off these and other gifts and sweet things at Rifle Paper Co. just through the end of February.
Athleta Venice High Rise Track Pants in navy and green
Ooh! Here’s a big favorite. I got in these navy Venice high rise track pants and liked them so much I ordered the green pair, too. I LOVE the stripe down the side. Such a modern touch.

Be sure to watch the video here to see these pants in action and to shop the other items shown. The pants come in other colors, too.
FASTer Way to Fat Loss
I haven’t mentioned it much here, but I have gotten completely back on board with FASTer Way to Fat Loss this year, and I’ve done SO WELL so far. Yes! I’m tooting my own horn because for the past two years I’ve really struggled to be disciplined with my nutrition and exercise. But I’m happy to report that I’ve been very successful the past four weeks, and I’m seeing BIG results.

The FASTer Way to Fat Loss is the program that helped me lose about 20 pounds 7 years ago and actually propelled me to start this blog. Yeah, if it weren’t for FWTFL I never would have even started Dressed for My Day. It’s not a diet; it’s a lifestyle. And they give you absolutely everything you need to be successful in building muscle and losing fat: accountability, menus, daily workouts for gym or at home (I work out completely at home), education and more. They really teach you how to care for your body so that you can stay strong, limber, balanced and healthy.
I’ve actually paid for the program almost non-stop for 7 years, but I just really fell off the wagon for the past two years, which resulted in me gaining almost all of that weight back (after keeping it off successfully for 5 years). But I was feeling horrible as we wrapped up 2024. So I’m completely committed again, and the weight is already dropping. More important I feel 100% better.
Real quick, the program consists of macro counting (counting your protein, carb and fat intake daily), carb balancing (just two days of low carbs per week), two days of cardio workouts, three days of weight training, water consumption, rest and intermittent fasting. It all works together to build lean muscle so that your metabolism gets a boost and you burn fat efficiently. My biggest challenge is getting in the 98 grams of protein I need each day, but I’m doing it! That means I have to eat a lot – but it’s good food that keeps me satisfied and feeling great.
If you need support and accountability and a program with a proven track record to help you get leaner and stronger, I HIGHLY recommend the FASTer Way to Fat Loss. You can learn more about it HERE.

Blessed for My Day
I struggle with complaining. I mean, I have a problem with complaining. I generally don’t whine to other people very much about issues, but I tell my husband my woes frequently. Recently I realized this and I’ve been trying to complain less to him. Even though he is a willing ear and graciously listens, I know it’s not best for our relationship for me to complain so frequently.
I’ve discovered that when problems arise or things don’t go quite as I had hoped, I have a choice. I can complain about the situation…or I can praise the Lord. What can I praise the Lord for in my moment of frustration? I can thank Him for providing the strength to handle the crisis, His faithfulness in the absence of other people’s loyalty, His wisdom to help me see the solution, His refuge when I need a shoulder to lean on and His love. When I choose to praise God in my time of frustration, my desire to complain soon subsides.
But as for me, I will sing of Your strength; Yes, I will joyfully sing of Your faithfulness in the morning, For You have been my refuge And a place of refuge on the day of my distress. ~ Psalm 59:16
