Happy Monday! I’m not giving the week an official title, but I do plan to share all of my body, skin and haircare products this week. During the winter it’s hard to get outside and take fashion photos, so I like to take this opportunity to focus on skin and body care. Later in February I’ll share my makeup routine as well. But today let’s focus on my current body care routine.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.
These Are Not Sponsored Posts
None of the blog posts are sponsored this week. I’m letting you know that because sometimes I do work with skin, body and haircare brands. And when a brand sponsors a post, they gets exclusivity. That means I can only share their products in that blog post or video, etc.. Now you can trust that any time I tell you I’m using something, I absolutely am. And if I recommend something, I’m not fooling around; I truly love and stand by the product.
It’s part of my job here to try new products and share the ones I love with you. And any time I share a beauty product that is sponsored, I make sure that I’m allowed to try it for at least several weeks, preferably more, before I share it with you. And yes, I have gone back to brands and broken contracts because, after trying it, I could not, in good faith, promote their product.
Anyhow, that’s why you will hear me share one cleanser one day and then several months later I may share a different one. It’s not because the other one is no longer good, but simply because I’m trying out something new. And you’re always welcome to email me and ask my thoughts on comparing the two. There are a LOT of great beauty products out there, and some work for some women while others work better for different skin or hair types. And of course, there are a variety of price points, too. So I love experimenting with new products and sharing my recommendations with you.
That said…
These are My True Personal Favorite Body Care Products
This week I’m sharing my true personal favorites. These are the brands I go back to time and again because I love them so much and they give me such great results. I’ll share the details as we go, but these are my true personal favorite body care products. I’m not working with any sponsors right now, so I am using them all on repeat.

You’ll see the above photo again later in the week because, of course, it also has some of my skin (face) and hair care in it. That’s the caddy in my actual shower. Ha! I don’t think I’ve ever invited you there before! But today I want to draw your attention to the two body care products: the Necessaire the Body Wash and the Body Exfoliator.
Necessaire the Body Exfoliator: I use this physical and chemical exfoliation product about once or twice each week. No need to scrub; the gritty gel does the work for you. It’s a great prep to use the day before sunless tanner, too.
Necessaire the Body Wash (also here): This body wash comes in several scents now, but I prefer the eucalyptus and santal. A little goes a long way. I’m usually able to use a container this size for about three months. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean, with no residue. Simply a delight in the shower.

Elemis body brush: I started using this dry brush regularly a few weeks ago and it is making such a difference in my circulation, digestive system and skin. You use the brush, made of natural cactus bristles, dry, and you use it on your dry body before stepping into the shower. Use long, gentle strokes up your body toward your heart. And you can go in a circular motion at your joints – to decrease swelling – and at your stomach – to improve your digestion. You can watch this little video I made to learn more about it and see a demonstration. You always want to shower immediately after using the dry brush to wash away the dead skin it removes.
Necessaire the body oil: After using a dry brush, it is recommended that you use a body oil and moisturizer on your skin. I put a few drops of the oil on my hands and just pat it all over my body right after getting out of the shower and gently drying off on a towel. Then I follow up with a moisturizing lotion.
Jergens original scent cherry almond lotion: This is just an old favorite I’ve used for years. I love the cherry almond scent and the richness of this classic cream.
Sweet Bee sweet sleep magnesium butter: I’ve been applying just about a dime size of this magnesium butter to the soles of my feet and up onto my calves at night before going to bed. It is helping me to sleep better and minimizes aches in my feet and legs.
Oylie total repair oil: My nail tech got me started using this oil for my cuticles and nail beds. I apply it a couple of times a day if I can remember. But I always use it at night before bed. It’s a misty spray oil and feels so light and fresh on your nails and hands.
Stay tuned and tomorrow I’ll share my morning skincare routine. Thanks so much for dropping in. If you have questions, let me know in the comments area. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Blessed for My Day
We know from the ancient Scriptures that women have been using lotions and oils and bath salts for thousands of years to nourish their skin and improve their appearance. I don’t believe that the Bible teaches anything against using cosmetic procedures and products to beautify the body, face and hair. But those things alone will never be able to make a woman truly beautiful.
True beauty begins on the inside. And that’s not just to imply that we need to drink plenty of water or improve our gut health. Ha! Instead, we must tend to the spirit, the soul. How do we do this? I find that I need to occasionally, really daily, take time to slow down, read the Bible, pause for prayer, meditate on Truth and count my blessings. What do you do to tend to your soul?
Before a young woman’s turn came to go in to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics. ~ Esther 2:12
Great post, Kay, and a wonderful BFMD. True beauty is, indeed, more than skin deep. (I’ve always found it so interesting in the book of Esther that the young women had to go through 12 months of beauty treatments before going in to see the king.)
This was a good blog Kay! I’ve ordered the body brush (wonderful) and the Sweet Bee sweet sleep magnesium butter (also wonderful). Can’t wait to get them! Thank you for telling us about them! Have a great cold day!
Great post again and I love Mimi Mondays!
Hi Kay, for some reason I could not comment on the video for what you will not be buying in 2025. Thank you! So true that things can be modern and perfect for others but just not fit us or our style aesthetic. Looking forward to a stylish year!
Thanks for sharing Cathy. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I think you do have to be signed into your YouTube account to comment.
Kay, I like the fact that you have broken down your routines into manageable categories. Some times a whole morning through evening post is too much to take in. Thank you
