‘Tis the season for review! Not only does this annual year-in-review series give me a little reprieve from writing fresh content so that I can breathe a bit after the Black Friday to Christmas rush, but it also provides valuable insight I can use as I plan content for the coming year. My goal is always to serve my readers by providing inspirational and practical fashion-focused content that truly helps us get dressed for our day. And so many of you have told me that I have helped you in some way (which truly blows my mind and keeps me humble!). So I’ve run the analytics on my blog posts and YouTube videos in 2025 to find the ones that drew you in and kept you reading or watching. Let’s see what resonates with my followers the most.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.
I’m sharing the 16 most popular blog posts of 2025 simply because there was a little bit of a natural break there. We’ll start with number 16 and work our way to the most read post of the year. And along the way I’ll share a few insights I’ve gleaned about my readers. And if you’d like to check out the popular blog post, just click on the title or the graphic.
#16- Stylish Summer Dresses for Women Over 60
Often the popularity of a post really lies with the title. I work quite hard to title my content so that it reaches women who are searching for answers to real life fashion dilemmas. And of course, I create those titles to specifically reach my target audience. So it stands to reason that women over 60 who are looking for stylish dress options for the summer would gravitate to this popular post.

I’m 61 and I started writing at Dressed for My Day when I was 54. So I’ve always focused on the unique fashion dilemmas of us women over 50. In fact, I started Dressed for My Day because I wanted to help women over 50 to find or reclaim the sense of style that many of us lost somewhere along the way as we raised kids and/or accomplished career goals. Also aware that we undergo so many changes in midlife – from physical changes to lifestyle shifts and even technology developments – I know that many of us begin to lose the self-confidence we fought so hard for during earlier seasons of life. I feel like we crave some encouragement in this season of life, but also some gentle perspective, practical information and attainable inspiration. So I try to provide that in posts like these where I give style options that resonate with women in our age ranges – not because we have to be limited to certain styles at this age, mind you. But because you and I know that what we want and/or need now is not the same as it was just 20 or even 10 years ago.

I don’t believe we age out of certain styles. And we get to choose for ourselves what feels “appropriate” or stylish. But I also know that many women over a certain age are concerned about things like varicose veins, chubby knees, perimenopause tummies, age spots, flabby arms and crepey skin – things that weren’t on our radar just a few years prior. So to say that women over 60 don’t have unique fashion needs is just living in denial. We’re also more prone to prioritize comfort, quality and, yes, modesty than our younger selves did.
So that’s why I frequently title my blog posts with that sometimes annoying phrase, “for women over __.” Sometimes in the past I’d insert the number 40, but now I generally choose 50 or even, as in this case, 60. It’s not to limit us. And it’s not to alert you to matronly or “old woman” options, hahaha. It’s simply to let you know that I see you. I get you. I’m one of you. And I want to provide you with options tailored to your needs and concerns. My use of the phrase “for women over 60” is never meant to diminish or limit you; it’s simply to reach you. Maybe I reached you with this post. Let me know in the comments below.
#15- 3 Ways to Wear a Matching Set for Spring
It wasn’t long after I started writing Dressed for My Day in 2018 before I discovered that women are hungry for practical style advice. We want to look stylish and beautiful, modern even. But we also want to stretch our wardrobes. So we’re looking for versatility and multiple ways to wear the items we do invest in.

That’s why I think this blog post was so popular. It provides multiple ways to wear a duo that we otherwise might hesitate to purchase. We don’t mind investing in a one-and-done garment occasionally. But for the most part we want to fill our closets with pieces that work for multiple occasions and in various combinations.
#14- I Placed My First Order at Avara!
Because I moved a lot of my affiliate business to two different networks this year (ShopMy and YouTube Shopping), I had the opportunity to work with dozens of brands I’d never worked with before. In fact, I’d never even heard of some of them. I love learning about new-to-me brands and passing my findings on to you.

I know that Avara is not everyone’s cup of tea. Most of my readers probably share my affinity for more classic and refined styles, whereas Avara features a lot of very feminine and somewhat youthful colors and details. But they actually carry some modern classic styles, too, like these new favorite straight leg jeans. I’ve enjoyed getting to know this brand this year, and I’m so pleased that the popularity of this post tells me that you are open to learning about new brands as well.
#13- These Popular Jeans Will Make You Look Younger
Here’s another one of those phrases that I sometimes insert in my titles to reach my target audience: make you look younger. But if you’ve been around DFMD long you know that I don’t really prioritize looking younger. Instead, I encourage my readers to dress in a way that is modern.

When we opt for modern silhouettes, like these wide leg high rise jeans, we look current, with it. And when we look current we actually do look more vibrant and youthful. This is one of my all-time favorite style secrets that I try to share on the regular. So hopefully women who were drawn to this title learned that modern jeans can have a big impact on your overall appearance and style confidence. What about you? Have I inspired you to make modern choices this year? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
#12- My Talbots March 2025 Favorites
Quite frequently I share my favorites from Talbots, and these round-ups often make the most popular blog posts lists. Why? Because Talbots is undoubtedly my number one retailer when it comes to affiliate sales. My readers love shopping this New England retailer, and it shows up in the analytics over and over.

I do feel like Talbots has slipped a little in recent years in quality and modernity. But I know for a fact that they are trying to stay relevant while also maintaining the price point that their shoppers want to spend. When it comes to retail, we speak the most loudly with our purchases, not our comments. I encourage you to stick with me if you like to shop Talbots. I’ll keep sharing them for sure. But I am very discriminating and only share products that I think are good quality and have at least a nod to modern styles.
#11- An Elevated Casual Spring Outfit Formula
Again, it’s often the title that leads to a blog post’s popularity. While many of my readers are email subscribers or at least faithful followers, I also reach a lot of women through Pinterest and search platforms. So the titles help draw those readers in.

This popular blog post is really just one of many similar spring outfit posts. But because I offered an “elevated casual” vibe it drew the attention of women looking for that. In fact, I think many of my readers are looking for just that. We have casual lifestyles, but we still want to look a little elevated, polished, pulled together. And we love the idea of an “outfit formula” that can help us achieve those results on the repeat. You can trust that I’ll continue to offer similar content in the year to come.
#10- A Favorite Summer Outfit Formula 3 Ways
Yep, here’s another one of those outfit formulas. I suppose we all want something that helps make getting dressed for our day on the regular a little easier. In this favorite blog post I shared three ways to combine white and soft beige or natural tones to create winning summer outfits on the repeat.

Of course another reason this blog post made the most popular list is because I teamed up with friends and fellow bloggers, Tania and Jennifer for it. We all used to do a lot of these collaborative posts, but we do fewer of them now. Maybe we should do more. Let me know if you found me through this collaboration or if you’d like to see more of these.
#9- Pre-Fall Capsule Wardrobe that Takes You from Summer to Fall Stylishly
I think many of us – me included – struggle a little with between season dressing. When the weather is fluctuating wildly or it just isn’t “behaving” the way we’d like for it to as we shift seasons, it can be frustrating. We’re ready to dress for the upcoming season, but the temperatures aren’t quite there. Thus, the pre-fall capsule wardrobe offered some stylish options that could make life a little easier.

This blog post also featured quite a few style boards, something I don’t share nearly as much as I once did. But again and again I’ve heard readers tell me they like them. I do, too. I’ll certainly keep modeling outfits for “real life” inspiration. But let me know if you enjoy the occasional inspirational style board. And also let me know if you’d like to see more capsule wardrobes, maybe for each season or travel.
#8- 4 Ways to Look More Youthful this Spring
Ahh, here’s that promise of looking youthful again. But if you know me at all, you know that this post really emphasizes looking modern, not younger than you are. I’m a big believer in aging with grace and even acceptance. So I’m not pushing an anti-aging message here.

Instead I offered four tips that help the woman over 50 look current and vibrant. You’ll continue to get more of that here at Dressed for My Day in 2026. Oh, and can we pause just a moment to enjoy those pretty spring flowers???
#7- The BEST Black Friday Cyber Monday Sales 2025
While I prefer to focus on style tips and updated wardrobe advice, I do want to be a shopping resource for my readers. I’ve learned that my readers tend to value quality and versatile classics that can add value to their wardrobes for years. Me, too.

But if we’re going to invest in high quality wardrobes we’re probably also looking for the best buys we can get. That’s why I like to provide relevant sale information almost daily in my email newsletters. Be sure to subscribe to my daily or weekly email so I can keep you abreast of those deals.
Likewise, I like to offer sale roundup posts like this popular Black Friday and Cyber Monday Shopping Headquarters during the biggest sale seasons, like Memorial Day, Independence Day, President’s Day and Amazon Prime Days. I hope you find these posts helpful. Let me know if there are retailers you’d like for me to watch for sales.
#6- Winter Fashion Trends 2024-2025
I know that many of my readers lean toward a classic style aesthetic, preferring to invest in timeless pieces that can be worn year after year with confidence. But remember, looking modern is one of the best ways to appear stylish, aware and even more vibrant and youthful.

Wearing too many trends can make a woman look indecisive and even a little immature, unsettled in her style choices. But incorporating at least a few trends into your wardrobe will help you to look current and stylish. I tend to cover the trends a little differently each year, but you can always count on me to share some of the most wearable current fashion trends here at Dressed for My Day. By the way, this post was actually posted in late December of 2024, but I included it because it got a lot of pageviews well into winter 2025.
#5- 7 Tips to Help Plan Your Spring Wardrobe
I personally love this post. It includes all the goodies: wardrobe building tips, inspiration boards, personal reflections, a capsule wardrobe and shopping advice. I probably should do something similar for each season.

Let me know if you would like for me to create a similar post for spring or other seasons.
#4- Nail Trends 2025
Now the popularity of this post is quite the surprise to me. I rarely talk about nails really. But on the fly one day I decided to share the trends in nail color, shape and art for 2025.

I think the popularity of this post demonstrates that we’re all looking for the most current information in a wide variety of topics when it comes to our appearance. Let me know if there are other similar beauty topics you’d like for me to cover.
#3- 2 Spring Wardrobe Essentials from J.Jill
The fact that this simple spring blog post is so high on the most popular list reinforces a suspicion I’ve had: I have a lot of readers who love shopping J.Jill. I’ve featured this relaxed vibe women’s brand many times over the years. In fact my very first blog post spotlighted a J.Jill cardigan and jewelry.

Of course I didn’t just feature J.Jill here. I also shared two spring wardrobe essentials that really do help you create seasonal stylish outfits on the repeat. I think we all like to know about the essentials that give a wardrobe versatility and style power.
#2- What Women Over 60 Should & Should Not Wear
Here’s that phrase again: women over 60. This post was clearly popular because it piqued the interest of women who wanted to know if they had aged out of anything. But if you read the post you know that it’s about more than that.

This blog post also features one of my personal favorite outfits of the year, but it’s also a fairly pricey one. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but especially if I’m sharing an outfit that could be somewhat price prohibitive, I try to share more than just the outfit. I always want to give you something of value when you visit Dressed for My Day. My goal is not to push you to purchase things. If you happen to shop through my links while you’re here, great. But I want to give you take-away value whether you’re shopping or not.
#1- Instead of Shorts? Wear These 11 Alternatives
And that brings us to the number one most popular blog post of 2025. In fact, this annually updated blog post is popular every year. And I see this as just another example of the fact that women over 50 are looking for fashion advice that is very specific to our season of life. I know I personally am wearing shorts less frequently these days, and evidently a lot of other women are, too.

But even if you do still like to wear shorts occasionally, this popular blog post is stocked full of alternatives for those warm days when you prefer something else. I’ll certainly update this post again in the early summer.
The Most Popular YouTube Videos of 2025
Now let’s take a quick look at the most popular videos on my YouTube channel for the year. I upload new videos every Wednesday (except last week and this week), offering styling tips and trend reports. This time we’ll start with the most popular video and go to the fifth. If you’d like to watch the video, just click on it.
#1- The Most Wearable Fall Fashion Trends for Women Over 50
Trend videos generally do very well on YouTube. And I always try to share only trends that I think will resonate with a large number of my viewers and that are wearable for women over 50.
#2- 5 Ways to Update Your Jeans for Spring 2025
Jeans! Another hot topic we women are constantly trying to stay current on. I’m sure I’ll share a similar video this spring since it’s a great time to update your collection for the warmer days.
#3- Spring 2025 Fashion Trends You’ll Love Wearing
Here’s another popular trends video. Do you like to stay current with the trends? Also let me know if you prefer I cover the seasonal trends in a blog post or on YouTube. I’d love to know.
#4- Must Have Shoes for Your Spring Outfits
Are you a “shoe woman?” Hahaha? If you know you know. The right shoes can certainly make the outfit and the wrong ones can break it. So having the right shoes in your closet can make getting dressed for your day so much easier and more enjoyable.
#5- 10 Ways to Hide a Tummy with Style this Spring and Summer
And finally here’s a video that focused on how to hide a tummy with spring and summer fashions. When it’s time to wear fewer and thinner clothes, many of us want to know how to dress so that we can conceal that pooch.
I’ve shared a few of my insights on these popular blog posts and videos, but I’d love to read yours, too. If you noticed something about these popular posts that I didn’t call out, definitely let me know. I like to use this information to plan my content for the next year. Thanks so much for dropping in!

Blessed for My Day
This week I’m preparing for next year. I always enjoy sitting in front of the fire with my calendar, looking through analytics and charting out new blog posts and YouTube videos for you. I hope that excites you to know that I’m working hard to create content that benefits you and that you can enjoy. You truly are on my mind as I plan my calendar.
But oh, how much more should it thrill our souls to know that our Savior is preparing for us a home in heaven. He has returned to His Father’s house to prepare a place specifically for each of us. And He is coming again to take us back with Him because He wants us to be with Him. How amazing is that? Walk through this day with that thought on your mind: Jesus is preparing a place for you!
Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be. ~ John 14:1-3
Tu for today’s blog post. I missed some of them and will go back and read them. Same with u tube videos. U asked for comments on titles. Here goes! Absolutely get rid of any title that claims to make u look more youthful! If ur analytics show this kind of title draws readers so b it, but I tend to avoid any posting that contains that theme. I love and look for any posting or video the claims to make u look more current. That kind of phrasing will always draw me in. Tu for all u do to keep us current!
Thanks so much for your input Margaret. I certainly understand your preference for titles with “look more current” and I will definitely include those in upcoming posts. But, for the reasons stated, I’ll also continue to offer tips to help you look younger, too. As I mentioned, in my opinion looking current leads to looking more youthful. But the best way for me to share that message is to draw in women who are looking for ways to look younger. 😉
Kay, I enjoy each and every one of your posts but if I had to pick one of these as a favourite it would be #5 – 7 Tips To Help Plan Your Spring Wardrobe. I am trying to be much more intentional when shopping and this kind of post each season would be very helpful. I might also suggest similar posts to help plan an “at-home” collection, a “smart casual collection”, and a “dressy occasion” collection. It seems to help me see the gaps in my wardrobe when I think about the categories of clothes I need in my real life. I enjoy posts and videos about trends and modern silhouettes as well as outfit formulas. Please continue to share your recommendations from Talbots because I am able to shop at a Talbots store whereas many of the other brands I can only order online.
Great input, Jocelyn. I’ll definitely add those suggestions to my list. I’m working on the calendar right now!
What a great post and look back to the year
I enjoy your collaborating with Tania and Jennifer too
thank you for all you do to keep us current
Happy New Year to you and yours
Good to hear. I’ll have to reach out to them and maybe others too to see what I can line up.
It was fun to see what the most popular blog posts was and utube videos for this year 2025. I even read some of them and watched a couple of videos to refresh my memory. To
see once again the items I might have missed or purchased. I keep my Christmas tree up through New Year’s Day and then take it down with the more Christmasy decorations. I keep my snow globes, cardinals, and snowmen out for a while later until Spring sometimes or right before Valentinos’ Day.
Thanks for sharing. Yes, I’m going to keep a few winter theme items out, too. 🥰
Hi Kay,
I truly enjoyed your round-up of the most popular postings from 2025. And it is very obvious that you have a good read on what your followers want to see. While I appreciate the fashion information, trend updates, styling tips and product references there is something more that first grabbed me and keeps me coming back. When I discovered your work, I was impressed with your communication style, your kind and positive thoughts and your genuine desire to share with others. But it was the ability to acquire knowledge and insight from someone who was well informed and down to earth (not instructing- but sharing). I devoured your ’24 and ’25 style series, making notes, taking inventory of myself and my closet even having a full scale silhouette drawn against the wall and adding in the measurements, lines and comments to really see me. I always thought that I dressed fairly well but with your help I now know what I want to wear and how I want to look for the person I am now. I look forward to the coming year and what you have to share.
With sincere thanks and gratitude for what you do, Lynn
I am enjoying these look back posts!
It’s interesting that so many of these posts relate to dressing for Spring. This can be such a tricky time of year as it bridges cooler and warmer season dressing. I appreciate the ideas you share to help bridge this transitional time period. I also appreciate the more moderately priced options as they are a better match for my budget at this point in life.
Hello Kay and Happy anniversary weekend. We share a wedding anniversary with you two and I think of you when we make our plans to celebrate. ☺️Thanks for all your hard work on these posts and videos. I learn so much from you and I truly appreciate the quality of your blog and YouTube channel. My favorite posts are the trends and planning ones.
My favorite YouTube video of 2025 was 3 Keys to help you accessorize. In the video you talked about how to build an accessory wardrobe. It really gave me practical steps to think about and strategies making purchases. Some of the tips seemed obvious but for someone like me who does not have mych fashion sense it was so good. I tend to buy things that I like on the banner or others but I struggle to thick through how items will fit in my wardrobe and fit my lifestyle. This helped me tremendously. I’d love to see more content like that. THANK YOU!
