November 1, 2025

November is upon us (can you believe it?!) and we’ll be enjoying all of the fun festivities of the holiday season before we know it. I’m already making plans for our family gathering around Christmas, and I know we’ll have get togethers, special events and parties on our calendar soon. It’s time to look for merry and bright options to add to your wardrobe so you can look the part as the celebrations kick into gear. Since the Avara Holiday collection just hit their website today, I’m pleased to offer you a first look at these colorful, festive styles that will get you into the holiday spirit faster than Santa’s reindeers can fly!

The Avara Holiday Collection 2025

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.

Today’s post is not sponsored, but the Avara Holiday Collection items were gifted to me so that I could share them with you at first opportunity. I know their best sellers tend to sell out fast, especially in popular sizes. So I’m so grateful that they reached out with this opportunity. If you’re not familiar with Avara, they’re a Dallas, Texas, based business founded and run by entrepreneur and mom of two, Emily Wickard. I find that their selections lean towards ultra feminine, colorful and youthful. But as the brand has grown over the last eight years the options have become more varietal, and there truly is something for everyone. I appreciate their reasonable price point and I love supporting this woman-owned, woman run, American business. You can learn more about the brand in this previous blog post.

As usual when I work with a brand in any way, I selected my own pieces from the Avara Holiday Collection 2025. And I always guarantee you that I’m giving my honest feedback. You, dear reader, are my priority, not the brand. So you can always trust that my goal is to help you shop wisely. Let’s check out my selections from the Avara Holiday Collection 2025. I have just a small capsule from the much larger collection, so you’ll want to check out more of my favorites in the shopping boutique at the end of this post.

Plaid Tidings: Delise Maxi Dress

Delise Plaid Maxi Dress from Avara
Delise Maxi Dress c/o // extended calf leather riding boots (also in regular calf fit) // belt

Especially if you are in a warmer climate, this lovely plaid Delise Maxi Dress could help you ring in the holidays in comfort and style. The 100% cotton tiered maxi dress features ruffle trimmed band collar with a flattering V-neckline. It has slightly puffed short sleeves, a smocked waist and pockets. So much femininity!

I added a belt to mine for a little more definition, but you could wear it without, too. Wear with flats or heels. But I think this sweet maxi dress looks great with leather riding boots. Mine are in extended calf and from last year.

If you prefer a mini length dress, check out this Corinne plaid mini dress. And this Faith plaid midi skirt looks so versatile and fun. I have a shopping widget below the post with all of my favorites from the Avara Holiday Collection 2025.

Christmas Greenery: Jordyn Green Knit Cardigan

Jordyn Green Knit Cardigan

Take a different spin on Christmas greenery with this muted lime green Jordyn knit cardigan. This super soft knit sweater is perfect over jeans. I’ve worn mine with the slenderizing and elongating Ana dark wash flare jeans from Kut from the Kloth. This denim brand almost always runs generous. I’ve sized down from my usual 10 to an 8 for a comfortable, slimming fit. I’m also wearing them with a 2.5 inch heel, and I’m 5’8″.

The Jordyn knit cardigan is a fun green that creates a festive vibe without looking overly Christmasy. The body grazing fit and ruffled Peter Pan collar set this sweet sweater above the rest. You could also wear this cheerful sweater with velvet or corduroy pants for more texture.

Merry & Bright: Merry Ivory Knit Sweater & Hensley Gold Pleated Midi Skirt

Skirt and Sweater from Avara

This duo sparkles with joy, so it’s perfect for a holiday party. And the Hensley Gold Pleated Midi Skirt can do double duty by making another appearance on New Year’s Eve or even Valentine’s Day. So versatile and fun!

Unless my skirt was labeled wrong, the Hensley Gold Pleated Midi Skirt runs small. I have the medium and I LOVE the skirt. But I couldn’t even get it to close at the waist. I wanted to go ahead and show it to you because it’s a true winner in my book. I’ve already re-ordered in the large and it should arrive very soon. If you’d like to wait for my verdict, just let me know and I’ll inform you of the size difference when the large arrives.

By the way, Avara sent me the Kaycee gold block heels (shown in the first photo) to wear with the dresses and skirt, and they’re beautiful shoes that fit true to size. However, I desperately need a pedicure so I opted not to wear them. (Just keeping it real!)

Sweet as Candy: Emily Pink Bow Cardigan

Cheerful Bright Pink Sweater from Avara

How sweet is this Emily pink bow cardigan? I love bold colors this time of year. This is the time to have fun with your outfits, wear something a little different, go big!

Cheerful Bright Pink Sweater from Avara

The Emily pink bow cardigan fits true to size for a body-skimming fit. It’s a soft, stretchy knit featuring diamond stitched details and removable velvet and rhinestone bows.

I’m also carrying the Evelyn magenta quilted shoulder bag for a double dose of sweet pink. It’s a small bag that is just big enough for your essentials, but it feels festive and special.

Below you can see the Emily pink bow cardigan worn with two of the bows removed and one repositioned at the pocket. Wear it to suit your taste.

Radiant: Gabbie Red Two-Piece Midi Dress

Christmas Red Dress with Sweater from Avara

Some women shy away from red at Christmas, but I jump in with both feet. And this vibrant Gabbie Red Two-Piece Midi Dress is truly the perfect Christmas red. The set consists of a slip dress and a separate cable-knit, crewneck pullover in the same color. You can wear the pieces together or separately for different looks.

Like a dork I left the protective paper in the bow of the Nina black velvet bag. I honestly thought it was just a white filmy inlay. LOL! I’ll remove it promptly. The bag is a lovely one that you can use for special occasions for years.

I love how the red pullover looks and feels (super soft!) over the red slip dress. But, as you can see below, you absolutely can wear the dress with other sweaters in your collection. The mid duo fits true to size.

You can see that Avara really has quite an amazing variety of styles in their new holiday collection – something for everyone! I’ve created a shopping boutique below with these and other personal favorites from the Avara Holiday Collection 2025. Use the toggle to scroll down and see all of my selections. But I also suggest you check out the rest of the holiday collection here.

Thanks so much for dropping in. Let me know if you have any questions. It was such a delight sharing this beautiful collection with you.

Blessed for My Day

“The devil made me do it!” That exclamation made famous by the late Flip Wilson so many years ago sometimes rings in our heads as we struggle in the real life spiritual warfare that we battle daily. But the truth is, the devil can’t make us do anything. He sure does a great job of enticing, tripping up, laying snares and lying, however, doesn’t he? We can’t blame Satan for our mistakes, but he is a real force that we need to fortify ourselves against.

I’ve discovered that the best line of defense when it comes to standing strong against the enemy is to know Truth. I can do that two ways. First I must know The Truth, Jesus Christ. I must have a thriving relationship with Him and get to know Him more every day. But I also need to steep myself in the truth of Scripture on a daily basis. Instead of giving in to Satan’s twisted version of truth – as Eve did in the garden – I can resist him the way Jesus did in the desert. I can tell him, “Thus says the Lord…” Satan will flee when we show up with Jesus and a strong familiarity of His Word.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. ~ 1 Peter 5:8-9

  1. This is a pretty collection of outfits. I love the pink sweater and how the bows are removable and can be put wherever you wish!

  2. I really like all of the bags you have shown. They are so festive! Green is definitely one of your colors….beautiful!

  3. Good morning Kay! I’ve never shopped Avara, mostly because their clothing leans a little too feminine for me. However, they do have some nice holiday styles – especially the sequins and metallics! 🙂 Christmas is one time of year where I tend to get a little more decked out than usual. Like you, I love wearing red that time of year. I just don’t wear red and green at the same time, so someone doesn’t start hanging ornaments on me. LOL! Oh, and I would have left that protective film on the bow, also, thinking the same thing you did, that it was an inlay. I guess we can be dorks together. BFMD, excellent reminder!

  4. The red two piece dress is so pretty. I also like it in the navy, and would have liked to see it without the sweater. The website didn’t show it – at least not that I could see.
The plaid puff sleeve blouse is really cute.

    1. The dress can be worn by itself. It’s not fitted, really fits like a slip dress but the shoulder straps are about 1.5” instead of spaghetti straps. Really nice.

  5. I only have one top from AVARA and for some reason haven’t worn it yet. It’s a short sleeve berry color and when it was warm out it felt too dark and now I’ll have to wear something over it and it’s always a challenge to me with puff sleeves. I like AVARA but I too feel they are alittle too feminine for me and I like feminine. Maybe it’s all the bold colors. Where I live I feel I’d stick out, as no one dresses up but I try to remember your wise words in one of your blogs, to not let others dictate how we show up dressing. Something like that. Our family Christmas is very casual too with PJ mornings with everyone and grands and later very casual sweater and denim or pants. I have to be honest we’ve stayed in matching PJs the whole day. No more work parties to attend and just my ladies church event and church. So I’m keeping it casual like my life style. You look so cute in these outfits. The holiday race is on but I chose to slow down and take time to enjoy the one for the reason for the season. I have to tell myself this each year so I don’t let it pass by and He wasn’t my focus. Blessing Kay!!!

  6. Hey Kay. Thank you for sharing the AVARA collection. I purchased one of their dresses earlier this year, and have enjoyed wearing it to church, birthday parties, and most recently a baby shower. I often get compliments on the dress, and like the way it wears. Thanks for all your work on the blog post!
