I’m just beyond excited that Spring styles are popping up like eager daffodils on favorite retailer websites. I’d love to get into the stores and try a few things on, but the weather here has been decidedly wintery and prohibitive. On top of that, I’ve noticed that very little of the new inventory has actually made it to the brick and mortar stores so far. So today I’m simply rounding up my Talbots March 2025 favorites here.

Matching Sets
First up, Monday I was tasked with quickly picking out some favorites from Talbots’ matching sets to feature in an upcoming blog post. I’m always delighted to work with Talbots; I know so many of my readers frequently shop their modern, classic styles. We heading out to Tucson, Arizona, next Tuesday to shoot spring photos and videos, and I had to get my gifted items in by next Monday.
I quickly perused the matching sets options, and landed on two sets of clothing and accessories. They always ask me for a backup selection. And I think I’ll wait and let you see the ones they’re sending me later. *wink, wink* Here are my favorites plus a few of the items I’ll be wearing with mine.
But Talbots actually has lots of matching sets to choose from. Let me know if you found some you love.
Tops and Sweaters
Since it’s my birthday month and I get the 15% off for being a Classic Awards member with a credit card, I decided to order a few other things to take with me to Arizona. Right now regular price tops (including sweaters) are 25% off, so I purchased quite a few. Here are my favorites.
I ordered this tee and this top to wear with this sweater. And I also got this cardigan in yellow to try with the shirt. And I got this polo sweater, too, I think in two colors.
Jeans & Pants
Talbots has added some new silhouettes to their pants and jeans for spring. Most notably, they’ve got some barrel jeans. But you’ll also find more slim fit jeans as pants, as well as wide leg and straight leg options. Here are a few of my favorites.
I ordered these ankle twill pants in white and cool beige. Unfortunately I had to order them in two sizes since I’ve been losing weight. That said, reviews say they run a little small. But Talbots does have a generous return policy, so I didn’t mind ordering multiples.
Dresses & Skirts
I’ll be honest – as I always am. You can count on it! I’m not thrilled with this March collection as a whole. I feel like it has too many novelty items in it and not enough that feature clean lines and subtle details. And some of the colors are not to my liking either. But in the end, I’m just one customer. And we all have different preferences. Plus, I haven’t received my catalog in the mail yet. Have you? And that catalog always helps me to see the items in a better light, I think.
That said, I did find several dresses and skirts that I’m eager to try out. And I did order several dresses.
I purchased both this shirt dress and this one. I just couldn’t make up my mind! Plus the silhouettes are a little different, as are the sleeves. So it will be interesting to see how they work. And I also got this dress because I think it will photograph beautifully in Arizona. Plus, I have had that same dress before in other prints and really enjoyed it.
Jackets and Coats
I was really hoping that the Talbots March collection would have a trench coat in a color I love or even a neutral. Alas, it does not. I do love the red pepper belted trench, but it’s just not a color I want to add to my wardrobe…I think. Actually, I’ll have to see it in person, I guess. Shoot! You may see me in it soon after all!
But I do love the two sporty jackets above as well as a few of the blazers. What do you think? Did you find a jacket you love in the March collection?
Shoes & Accessories
I did order a new bag to go with the outfit I’m sharing for Talbots in March. And I do like a few of the accessories in the new collection, too. Here are a few of my favorite shoes and accessories.
Haven Well Within Lounge & Sleep
I enjoy shopping Talbots’ sister brand, Haven Well Within, too. Almost all of my sleepwear comes from there; it’s super soft and fits nicely. I purchased this set and these sleep pants for my trip to Arizona.

Blessed for My Day
Are you an “idea person?” I constantly come up with “good ideas.” Most of them get tossed aside and I never do anything about them. Other times I plunge forward with my bright idea only to either give out of steam along the way, grow bored with what once seemed so exciting or completely blow it. Only occasionally do my ideas turn out to be all that great after all.
Over the years I’ve noticed that the best way to ensure that my ideas actually lead to something good is to take my time with them, pray over them, bounce them off others I trust and proceed cautiously and wisely. And the best way to know if my idea is truly going to lead to something good is to test it against the Word of God. That’s not to say that the Bible always has a clear teaching about my ideas, but it does provide the framework for what is right and what is wrong, what is of the flesh and what is spiritually fruitful. When I take my ideas to God and examine them in the light of His Word, I either find reassurance and confirmation or redirection and caution. Then I have to decide if I will heed that direction.
Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took their respective firepans, and after putting fire in them, placed incense on the fire and offered strange fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. The only thing I liked were the rattan shoes and the cute jackets. Nothing i need though. The straw belt was wildly over-priced at $99! Do people really pay that for a straw belt? I have at least a dozen different straw belts and they’re gorgeous. None were more than maybe $20! Have fun in AZ!
