December 2, 2025

Can you believe it’s December already? I guess we say something like that every month. But truly, this one always sneaks up on me. Before we get too far into this final month of 2025 (what?!?), let’s take a look at a few of our favorite things from November, 2025. These are the top sellers here at DFMD and from my YouTube channel, as well as some of the things I’ve enjoyed the most during the month.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.

Let’s begin with the top sellers for November. These are the items that readers and viewers have been snapping up this month as I’ve shared affiliate links in my content, whether here at the blog, on my YouTube channel or through Instagram and my newsletter. Let’s count down from number 12 to the hottest seller of all. I always have my assistant Lucy run the numbers and set up this post, so I’ll enjoy discovering the top sellers with you as I write it up!

#12 Quilted Barn Jacket

Interesting! This quilted barn jacket from Talbots was actually our #3 top seller in October, too. Barn jackets continue to be so on trend this year, and this is a good one. So it’s no surprise that it’s been popular with my followers. I’ve shared it here on the blog as well as in this YouTube video.

I’ve shared the barn jacket here on the blog as well as in this YouTube video (see below). It is still available in several colors and a full range of sizes. I find the barn jacket to run true to size.

#11 Olive Wide Wale Corduroy Tara Shirt Dress

Ooh! This is one of my favorite purchases from this fall. So I’m very glad to see that the olive wide wale corduroy Tara shirtdress has been popular with my followers, too. I’ve worn this dress several times and even took it with me on our Thanksgiving trip to my son’s house. Each time I’ve styled it a little differently. So versatile!

The corduroy shirtdress is still available in most sizes, and you can get it in a beautiful ivory, too. It runs true to size; I wear a medium.

#10 Ruffle neck button-up top

Fun! I just shared this charming ruffle neck button-up shirt last week in this blog post. It’s been priced very nicely, and it’s a great addition to your wardrobe for casual holiday looks.

The ruffle neck button-up shirt is still available in most sizes and runs true to size. I’m wearing a medium, but it is a tailored, slim fit. So if you prefer a looser fit or if you’re fuller in the bust, you may want to size up.

#9 Perfect Cashmere Turtleneck

Isn’t this blue majesty such a pretty color? Of course this cashmere turtleneck sweater comes in other colors, too. In fact, I wore it in the red in this recent YouTube video.

I have this turtleneck sweater in four or five colors and wear them frequently. They run true to size and have availability in some petite sizes, too.

#8 Italian Leather Medium Convertible Satchel

I purchased this Italian leather medium convertible satchel from Quince recently when I got curious as to how close it would be to my Coach Rogue bag (that cost about 6 times as much!).

satchel bag

To my surprise I actually like this leather satchel better than my Coach bag because the side pockets have magnetic closures whereas the pricier bag has none. There are a few other small details I like better about the Quince bag, too, and it has the same suede interior, high quality pebbled leather and striking hardware. You’ll notice this bag is in my list of favorites, too, so I’m glad to see that some of you have purchased it as well.

#7 Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater

I love a good cashmere sweater, and evidently many of you do, too. This oatmeal colored Mongolian cashmere crewneck is a hard-working staple in my wardrobe. The quality is great, but the price is so good that I don’t feel guilty wearing it frequently and even traveling in it.

Of course the cashmere sweater comes in other colors, too. I sized up to a large in this one for a slightly roomier fit.

#6 Fair Isle cardigan in wool blend

Ooh! Here’s another good sweater. I think I’ll wear this Fair Isle cardigan tomorrow! I’ll be shooting my video about how to style cardigans so you don’t look frumpy.

Unfortunately this pretty cardigan is sold out. No wonder since it’s been 50% off for the past three days! Did you get one? Let me know.

#5  Cooling Button Front Shirt

Here’s another blast from the past…the October Favorites list that is. This Lands’ End cooling button-front shirt is a real classic. It’s made in a super cool-to-the-touch cotton and recycled polyester blend with just a touch of Spandex for comfort. So it’s crisp, but not starchy feeling.

The button-front shirt runs true to size and is available in a wide range of sizes. It comes in some really nice stripes and a pretty gingham blue, too.

#4 Scallop Crewneck Cardigan

Interesting! I originally showed this scallop crewneck cardigan in this blog post in early September. But it’s evidently picked up in popularity as the weeks have turned cooler. It is a stunning port wine color, but it does come in ivory and black, too.

The crewneck cardigan from Talbots is still available and runs true to size; I’m wearing my usual size medium. It does stretch a little with wear.

#3 Wide Leg Corduroy Pants (Limited Sizes & colors available)

Oh, I had a feeling these wide leg corduroy pants would make the list. In fact, I’m wearing them right now as I type up this post. They’re super comfortable and very stylish, too.

pants // See the original blog post here.

Unfortunately these popular pants sold fast at Lands’ End. But they are still available in limited sizes, lengths and color options. Mine are in the rich coffee for reference, but I sure do wish they had the ivory in my size.

#2 Barely Boot Rhinestone Jeans

I shared this popular barely boot jeans with rhinestone embellishments in Sunday’s bonus video, but I must have shown them before then, too. These fit so nicely and comfortably, TTS.

jeans

I guess they’re actually a little roomy, but we’re wearing our jeans a little less snug these days. I think the embellishment is nice for the holidays especially. These are available in most sizes in petite, misses, plus, and plus petite.

#1 Emily Lex Watercolor Work Book

LOL! How fun! These Emily Lex watercolor workbooks took off about this time last year, too. And I’m not mad about it. In fact, my daughter-in-law and I painted a little in ours this past week. Such a delight.

Any of the Emily Lex watercolor workbooks make such great gifts – for Christmas, birthdays, just because, etc. I’ve given them to most everyone I know at this point, and they all loved them.

Popular Posts This Month at DFMD…

Each month I do look over my analytics to see what content is resonating with my blog readers and YouTube viewers. I aim to consistently supply my community of followers with content that resonates and benefits you in practical and inspirational ways. That can be quite challenging because this community is quite diverse in style preferences, seasons of life, price point preferences and style goals. So I carefully check my analytics regularly to make sure I’m serving you well. Recently I’ve begun sharing the top three blog posts for the month and the most popular YouTube video.

#3 – Thanksgiving Day Outfit Inspiration for All the Ways to Celebrate

Coming in at number three, my Thanksgiving Day outfit inspiration post. I always enjoy these types of posts, and I’m glad to see that you do, too.

Thanksgiving Day Outfit Inspiration for All the Ways to Celebrate

Hopefully collection posts like this one help you to see different options. I don’t do a lot of them, but they’re nice mid season or for special occasions like Thanksgiving.

#2 – How I Really Dressed for My Day

Of course I post these roundups of my daily outfits about twice a month (if I’m behaving!). And we almost have at least one of them in the top three favorites. I think most of us enjoy the inspirational posts, but we know that these are full of real life outfit ideas.

How I Really Dressed for My Day

This particular week I spent most of my time traveling in Texas, so it was an interesting collection of outfits from my suitcase.

#1 – the Best Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales 2025

Well this is no surprise considering I sent you to the Best Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales 2025 daily for over a week. Ha! I tell you what, with the post-Thanksgiving sales starting earlier and earlier it makes it a bear to keep up with them. I guess they’re not really post Thanksgiving sales at all anymore. Maybe pre-Christmas???

the Best Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales 2025

Anyhow I had big help from Lucy keeping this one updated daily with new deals and codes, etc. I do hope it was helpful to you as you shopped.

YouTube Video

I published five YouTube videos in November, but the most popular was clearly 4 Big Sweater Weather Tips for Polished Outfits.

I’ll be sharing my tips for wearing cardigan sweaters soon.

Kay’s Favorite Things

Now let’s quickly run through a few of my favorite things. Not surprisingly, some of my favs are also yours. After enjoying the barely boot jeans with the embellishment, I decided to try the regular Sutton wash, too. They became fast favorites.

jeans // see the original blog post here

The Sutton wash barely boot jeans are a nice lighter mid wash, and they fit is really nice…if a little large. But they’re super comfortable and I think they’re quite flattering, too. I’m wearing my usual size 10.

After creating the Talbots video for Sunday and talking so much about the brooches, I decided to get a new one. So I purchased the holiday wreath pin. I think it’s so colorful and cheerful.

brooch // see the original blog post here

I’ve added a new pin from Talbots every year for the past six or seven. And I love giving them as gifts, too.

I’ve enjoyed these J.Crew corduroy pants in the frosty olive so much that I ordered the pale bone in the Black Friday sale. I’m planning to wear them with this Fair Isle sweater from J.McLaughlin if all goes as planned. I got a good deal on it in the Black Friday sale, too.

I’m actually wearing the White & Warren Fair Isle sweater below today. It’s so nice and warm! And I love the color combination of red and brown.

I’m also really enjoying my new Ruggable kitchen rug. I’ve been sharing about it mostly on Instagram, but I especially like that it’s machine washable and doesn’t require an extra pad underneath. So easy peasy! Now that the Black Friday sales are over…I think…you can probably use code KAY15 again for 15% off at Ruggable.

I think I already mentioned that the Quince satchel bag is also one of my favorites this month. And I ordered this Barbour black cherry quilted jacket and absolutely LOVE it. I’ll be wearing it with a sweater in a similar color. I purchased the Blondo Cammie waterproof leather booties early in Nordstrom’s Black Friday sale, and they’re my new favorite Chelsea boots. Super comfortable and wearable.

Blessed for My Day

Ahh, the mystery of Christ. He came to earth as a man – fully man – to show us how to live and to pay the price for our sin. He entered the world at a specific time in a place on the map. And then He died and was buried in a borrowed grave. He rose again three days later, and ascended into heaven weeks after that. Jesus’ days on earth were numbered just like ours. He is an historical figure we can look back to. But He’s also promised to return. These are very physical and finite facts.

But Jesus also is eternal. He is completely God. He was before the foundation of the world. In fact, God spoke the world into existence…and Jesus is the Word. At different times in His ministry on earth, Jesus claimed to be the truth, the bread, the light, the good shepherd, the way. How can we ever fully know Jesus? Truth is, we can’t. But we can make a lifetime out of getting to know Him. Let’s commit to getting to know Jesus even more in the coming weeks leading up to Christmas.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. ~ John 1:1-2,14

xoxo, Kay

  1. I LOVE Emily Lex. I’ve spent so much since I found her. I actually live 2 hours from her studio which is so cute. She has it set up beautiful and for each season. I also buy lots of gifts to give from her. My granddaughter is in the nutcracker ballet and I got her the very watercolor book you show here. She is only 6 but her mom, my daughter uses these watercolor books for her homeschool art and she’s gotten really good at painting. I am waiting for her paint sets to come back in stock.
