Well January may have felt like two months rolled into one, but indeed it is behind us. February will undoubtedly fly by, so let’s pause before we get too far into the month to talk about what was hot, hot, hot at Dressed for My Day during the first month of the year. Today I’m sharing a few of our favorite things from January, 2026.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.
First up, we’re running through the “top sellers” at Dressed for My Day. These were actually the links that were clicked through the most and resulted in sales. But with numbers like these, I’m pretty sure that many of you did indeed purchase these top 10 best sellers. After we check out these favorite things, I’ll share with you the most popular blog posts of the month and the most watched YouTube video. Fun!
Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater

I’ve had this 100% Mongolian cashmere sweater from Quince in my wardrobe for almost two years now, and it’s still a hands-down favorite of mine. In fact, as shown above, I wore it several times on my recent trip to Georgia. It’s often part of my travel capsules because it’s so multifunctional and beautiful. I like to size up to a large in these crewneck cashmere sweaters. And they’re still just $50! Hmm. Maybe it’s time for another one in a different color, like faded denim blue or varsity red.
Bandana Print Shirt

We’re going to see several top sellers from my video, Update Your Wardrobe Now with this One Fashion Trend. This bandana print shirt is super soft and has a beautiful drape, making it lovely to wear untucked. The brand, Cloth & Stone, is known for their soft fabrics and this one does not disappoint. It runs true to size and is still available. But I expect this transitional wardrobe beauty to sell out fast.
Tala Zip Track Pant

The Tala track pants are not your run of the mill activewear pants. They are constructed in an elegant 68% Polyester, 29% Viscose, 3% Spandex woven fabric that feels more like something you’d wear in an office-ready trouser. But they feature a sporty side stripe and a fun zipper at the ankle that makes the pant leg go from straight to wide leg. They are super comfortable and can be dressed up or down. I wear them in my usual medium, and they also come in a fun red and a classic black.
Lauren Ralph Lauren Women’s Trouser 6 Pack Socks

Ahh, socks! They’re such a necessity this time of year. And I hope I’ve helped you to wear them fashionably this winter. I love the variety you get in these Lauren Ralph Lauren 6-packs. They’re not especially thick. But I prefer them for wearing with my loafers for that very reason. These tweed cotton trouser sock 3-packs were also big sellers at DFMD.
ZenergyÂŽ UPF Piped Jacket & Ankle Pants

This coordinating ZenergyÂŽ UPF Piped Jacket & Ankle Pants showed up big in my YouTube shopping analytics. It’s definitely been too cool for me to wear this wrinkle-resistant, quick-drying, and sweat-wicking tech fabric duo, but I look forward to wearing it in Arizona soon. It’s such a smart looking set for travel, running errands or taking a walk with a friend. The pieces run true to size and are still available in limited sizes.
Double Face Wool Blend Coat

This bright red pop double face wool blend coat from Talbots looks and feels like pure luxury. I’ve fallen in love with double face coats. They look and feel rich and sophisticated, but they’re warm and easy to wear. This one is marked down and it looks like you’ll get additional savings once you add it to your cart, too. Score! It runs true to size.
Venice High Rise Track Stripe Wide Leg Pant

How I love these track pants, let me count the ways! They come in a wide range of sizes, a variety of colors and they feel substantial but comfortable and classy. And just through TODAY, get 25% off plus an extra 10% off with code EXTRA10. Track pants like these are VERY on trend for 2026, but I suggest wearing them multiple ways, including dressed up with a button-up shirt and/or blazer.
Since several of our favorites this month come from a YouTube video, I’ve thrown it in below.
 Cooling Button Front Shirt

I love that this cooling button front shirt is on our list of favorites again this month (I think for the 3rd month!). It’s a classic, for sure. And this shirt from Lands’ End is affordably priced and beautifully constructed. It runs true to size for a classic fit or size up for a more relaxed vibe.
Waffle-Knit Henley Sweater

If you’re itching to add a little color to your winter wardrobe, this waffle knit Henley sweater is a great choice. This raspberry jam color is a personal favorite, but it does come in a nice navy blue and oatmeal heather, too. And of course J.Jill has a wide range of sizes, including petites and talls. I sized down to a small in this sweater.
Barely Boot Jean

How fun that the number one top seller is one of my personal favorite pairs of jeans. I took these barely boot jeans on all of my trips this fall and winter because they’re so comfortable and versatile. The medium wash works beautifully with everything in my closet, and the length is just right for me to wear them with platform sneakers or heeled booties (I’m 5’8″ and wearing a misses 10). They are still available in most sizes and fits. And whether they’re marked down today or not, at $109 these barely boot jeans are a great buy.
Top 3 Blog Posts from January 2023
This month I’m starting to share the most popular blog posts and video each month. It does me good to run the numbers and find out what really resonates with my folowers. Let’s check out those fan favorite blog posts and video.
New Modern Favorites from Evereve

In this popular post I shared how I lean into Evereve for their modern classic styles. Especially whenever I start fearing that my wardrobe is getting a little “old” or “frumpy,” I look for a few new things at Evereve to keep me current.
How to Wear Socks Stylishly this Winter

This updated post from several years ago is ALWAYS a fan favorite. Especially in winter, women come through search engines to find tips for looking modern and stylish on the coldest days. I updated the post this year, but the tips have remained the same. You absolutely can look beautiful and modern in your socks and loafers!
How I Really Dressed for My Day This Week

Our number one most popular blog post was a daily outfits post. I try to post these as often as possible on Fridays. Sometimes life gets in the way, as it did this past week, but you can count on me to keep in real here by sharing my real life outfits on a weekly basis as much as I possibly can.

Kay’s Favorite Things
I’ve rounded up a few of the things I’ve been enjoying lately in the shopping widget below. These are mostly items I’ve been trying out quietly behind the scenes. Maybe one of these days I’ll share more about them – probably on YouTube or Instagram – but I wanted to let you know that they are personal favorites.

Blessed for My Day
Today I began a 5-day nutrition reset. I’m prone to eat things I probably shouldn’t eat on a regular basis. But I’ve found that if I can make a habit of good nutrition, then I generally stick with it. Establishing the habit, there’s the rub! They say it takes 31 days to make a good habit or break a bad one. But I’m hoping that this 5-day reset will kick start a healthier way of eating for me. I think it will.Â
We’re past January now, so it’s a good time to check on your New Year’s resolutions, good intentions, goals, etc. Whether you set any or not, how are you doing with your best laid plans? Do you need a boost in the area of personal quiet time, Bible reading, scripture memory, diet, exercise or other discipline? I have found the structure and accountability are critical factors for my success. What about you? How do you improve your chances of “sticking with” a good thing?
But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the kingâs choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself…âPlease put your servants to the test for ten days, and let us be given some vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance be examined in your presence and the appearance of the youths who are eating the kingâs choice food; and deal with your servants according to what you see.â ~ Daniel 1:8,12-13
Your hair looks so pretty!
Oh my goodness, you look absolutely radiant in that raspberry jam henley sweater! Socks… recently I wore my socks in the same color as my shoe, and it just looked “wrong”. Then it hit home to me, of why you have the concept of making the sock a statement of its own. Lesson learned!
Ahh. Good to hear. Thanks for sharing that.đ
You always look current and sophisticated in all of your outfits! Have you tried the âsweatpantsâ jeans? Just wondering if they are worth trying or if I should stay away from them.
I havenât tried them. But Iâm about ready to. Theyâve grown on me. I wasnât a fan in the beginning. But Iâm ready to at least look at them now. đ
Such great ideas again today
Love the red popover coat and a great price
What size did you happen to buy this in if I may ask
Thanks Kay
I have it in a medium.
Could you let us know what size you purchased in the Venice pants? I looked back at the previous post and didn’t see it there. I know you said you’re usually a medium, but I wanted to double check. Thank you!
Yes, I have a medium.
