With the Winter Olympics fast approaching (February 6-22, in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy) I’m sensing a buzz for all things Americana. I’ve noticed several of our favorite retailers feature sweaters, sweatshirts, snow ski gear and more with renditions of the American flag or creative red, white and blue designs. So I thought it might be smart to talk a little about the Americana winter style trend and how we can enjoy it.

An Americana Winter Style Outfit
I’ve put together a casual, chic Americana winter style outfit which features a thick, cozy sweater from Tuckernuck. Unfortunately these patriotic options are selling fast, so this sweater is already unavailable.

That said, I’ve located other equally charming options for you to consider if you’re interested in this winter style trend. Think heritage stripes, patriotic colors, renditions of Old Faithful and other fun, celebratory options with a nod to the American spirit.

To style these looks I like to ground them with classic denim, leather accessories and touches of camel. The color combination of red, white, blue and camel just looks on point to me. What do you think?

I’m keeping jewelry minimal and impactful so the graphic features on my patriotic sweater can carry the look.

Whether you’re wearing your Americana inspired casual outfit to a sports bar or a friend’s house, you’ll feel smart and dressed the part as you cheer on our 2026 Winter Olympics Team. But you can also enjoy wearing the Americana winter style trend for a day out shopping, lunch with a friend or volunteering at the local elementary school.

Do you have Americana pieces you’ll be wearing during the Winter Olympics? I’ve gathered some fun options to consider in the shopping boutique below. But I’ve noticed they go fast, so don’t pause too long.
Thanks so much for dropping in for a little style inspiration. Have a great day!

Blessed for My Day
When the Olympics begin we’ll see athletes and spectators clothed in the colors of their countries’ flags, proudly supporting the land from which they hail. Their clothing will mark them. Hopefully spirits will be good and comradery will prevail, so even though their uniforms and streetwear distinguish them, people attending the Olympics and participating in them will be somewhat unified.
But in Christ, the Bible tells us, there is no visible distinction that divides us. We are all clothed in one identifying garment: the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Even though we attend different churches under varying denominations, we may speak a wide variety of languages and have different physical features, if we have submitted to Jesus as Lord and Savior we are all one in Him. Let’s meditate on that amazing unity today. When we experience disunity and fractions in so many areas of life, it is amazing and beautiful to experience the unifying grace of God.
For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ~ Galatians 3:26-28
Interesting, bright, and cheerful outfit today, although graphics are
not to my taste. And did you meant to say “Old Glory” for the flag and not “Old Fatithful” the geyser in Yellowstone Park?
Hahaha! Yes, I meant Old Glory. I knew that didn’t quite sound right, lol!
LOVE the sweater you’re wearing! Made me smile immediately! And love how you put it together with “natural” colors of denim and camel. The Ralph Lauren items are inspiring. Glad that company is designing the Olympics clothing. I have the Lands End sweater, and it is soft and comfortable. Thanks for the cheery post on a January morning.
Kay, I like the patriotic sweater and how you wore it with jeans and brown leather booties. It looks very nice on you.
I like the camel accessories you added. I have a hard time even wearing red white and blue on the 4 th of July…. Just not my thing, but you look great in this sweater and it was fun to hear this is a thing coming up because of the Olympics.
I hear you on sluggish. I have so many food allergies so I can’t over due on the holidays or any other time. I know if you cut out the items you mentioned it alone will help you. My problem is the dreaded hormones. Yikes!!!! Enjoy your time away. I just booked a few nights for us to get away end of the week. I think it helps mentally and physically this time of year. No big trip, but I do get to stop in at Emily Lex’s studio again. Like I’ve told you…. You’d love it. I’m sure she’ll have it all decked out for Valentines Day. Last time I was there was over 4 th of July. Her shop was so cute. I’m sure I’ll be spending some money. I love to gift people from there too. 😌Can’t wait to hear where you are going. You two make the best trip get away.
LOVE the red, white, and blue sweater on you. So pretty, cleaned up but casual.
