New Modern Favorites from Evereve

I, like many of my readers, gravitate to classic styles that I know I can wear with confidence for years. But if we wear too many classics in one outfit without keeping silhouettes and details modern, we can begin to look a little dated, even frumpy. So I have a few brands that I lean into to help me keep my wardrobe more current. Evereve, a brand founded by Megan and Mike Tamte who are now in their 50s, aims to “move women forward in their fashion and in their lives so they feel fully alive.” Yes, this brand’s goal is actually to help us keep our wardrobes up to date and fabulous. So if you realize your wardrobe could use a few updates, check out some of my new modern favorites from Evereve.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.

It’s smart to have a few stores that you are familiar with but that also push you a little out of your comfort zone. Otherwise your style can become a little stale and you can begin to feel stuck. Most of us have retailers we’ve enjoyed shopping for years, and that’s great. But do you also have stores or websites where you can visit for the latest trends in jean silhouettes, accessories, necklines, fits and footwear?

Evereve regularly curates their collections from 150+ brands, so you have a wide variety of styles and price points to choose from. But you’ll also discover that many of their selections will give your outfits a bit of edge, a fashion forward feel and, yes, some youthful vitality. And you’ll find garments and accessories that fit your real lifestyle, whether that includes workwear, travel capsules, athleisurewear for home and out and about or elevated streetwear.

I’ve been shopping Evereve for about seven years now, and I’ve become very comfortable navigating this modern classic store. But if you’re new to it, pace yourself. Edgier, more modern styles can feel a little jarring at first if you are used to a more conservative style. For instance, if you’ve mostly shopped Talbots, Chico’s and J.Jill, the Evereve offerings may feel too young for you. Trust me, they’re not. While you’ll certainly see some items that don’t suit your taste, you do not age out of styles. Your tastes may change, and that’s perfectly okay. Not everything at any given store should suit anyone. So don’t mark Evereve off as too young. Instead, browse it with an eye for what’s modern, a little fashion forward. Look for inspiration here if nothing else.

Below I’ve collected some of my new modern favorites from Evereve. I’m also sharing why these caught my eye and how they inspire me. While I certainly don’t build my wardrobe exclusively from Evereve, this store definitely helps me to keep my wardrobe more youthful and modern with just a few selections each season. Be sure to use the toggle on the right to scroll through my entire selection of almost 40 pieces.

Thanks so much for stopping in. I hope you enjoyed today’s post. If you like keeping your outfits classic but modern, you may also enjoy this recent post.

Blessed for My Day

Recently as we put away our Christmas decorations I noticed how much stuff we have in storage in our basement. Honestly, my husband has a harder time letting go of things than I do. In fact, sometimes I am a bit too hasty in ridding ourselves of items we’ve accumulated over the years. I think for James the camping equipment, outdated kitchen gadgets and sporting goods that line the shelves in our storage area are more valuable for the memories they hold rather than the benefit they provide.

Eventually we’ll rid ourselves of these items – hopefully sooner than later. But they’re not doing us any real harm right now, tucked down in our basement. That said, the day could come when one or both of us struggles to move them out due to health problems. Accumulated stuff eventually becomes a deficit and a burden. On the other hand, when we accumulate treasures in heaven – by sharing the gospel, serving others and giving God’s grace to those who need it – we can know that we’re investing in that will never lose its value. Where are you storing up your treasure?

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” ~ Matthew 6:19-21

xoxo, Kay

  1. Though sometimes I don’t mind seeing all the items on a board, I much prefer to the outfit on you. To see how it falls and really looks. Also like your tips on what to wear with the top, pants, etc. Sometimes I do skip what a wore this week on Friday as it is pretty much a recap of the weekly posts. If I see that a couple of once a month would be efficient for me. Though I don’t shop Evereve a lot I do shop occasionally. I do not feel they are too young, as I do think Loft is, but maybe more like Banana Republic, which I shop occasionally also. I loved the BFMD. I too am looking forward to my treasures in Heaven someday.

  2. I’m so glad that All Creatures Great and Small starts Sunday too! It is our favorite show! I have only shopped Evereve a couple of times but I didn’t think they were for the younger crowd. They looked very modern and wearable for me. I’m in my 70’s!
Have a great day. God bless.

  3. I love their clothes, and really regret that they don’t feel inclined to more inclusive sizing. It seems to me that that would mean a lot more business, especially since they’re directed at a mature customer base- I see multiple things in this post that I would buy without hesitation. I know there are brands that trade on a status and exclusivity that attaches attached in some minds to eschewing plus sizes; I hope they have more concrete reasons.

    1. Hmm. Thats a good point. Thanks for pointing out their sizes. I truly doubt it’s a matter of exclusivity. But I’ll certainly look into it.

  4. I bought a great pair of cargo pants in an odd salmon-ish shade on this site last year. My main reason is the rise didn’t reach my bra! I’m 4’11” with longer legs and very short torso, which makes finding comfortable pants a challenge. It’s a treat to find pants that fit.

I so appreciate the very wide variety of clothes and ideas you continue to present.

  5. A few years ago I made my husband go to the attic with me and we purged so much. We are 66 and 64 and I told him I don’t want our kids to have to go through our stuff and cause them so much work. We’ve both done it for our parents and it’s a lot. So we did good on that project and if it was things we saved for the kids, if they didn’t want it we gave it away. Yes memories attached but I’m getting better to let things go as clutter is noise to me. My husband however has hard time parting with stuff. He has his tools, his dads tools and some of my dads tools etc. too much. We have a pretty large house with a garage and attic and a shop and a shed. We have so much more to do, but also to live on two acres we need some things.
I lOVE Evereve. It’s just my style. I wish they had better sales but sometimes I get lucky and grab a sale item. I have several things in my closet from them and they are always what I wear the most. I feel Talbots, J. Jill and Chicos is alittle to matronly right now for me. However two years ago I bought my first Talbot item… shorts, per your recommendations and last year a pretty floral blouse but I bought it too late in the season so looking forward to wearing it this Spring. Please style more this year from Evereve. My other go to stores are LOFT and Nordstrom.

  6. Happy New Year, Kay. I enjoyed seeing the items from Evereve that you posted. My husband and I were just talking today that it was time to clear out the closets again. We did this last year, but somehow things started accumulating again. I am so excited for the new season of “All Creatures Great and Small”; definitely my favorite show!

  7. I enjoy Evereve, but do find the choices overwhelming at times when I’m not familiar with a particular brand and how it feels/fits. I appreciate your curation of their items. Some lovely choices. Thank you.
