Happy Friday! Well its the second day of August, so I’m already a little behind sharing a few of our favorite things from July 2024. Better get moving! Today I’m sharing a few of my favorites from the month as well as the most popular items here, at my YouTube channel, in my LTK Shop and on social media. These are a few of our favorite things from July 2024.

A Few of Your Favorite Things in July 2024
How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.
The top sellers are pulled from my analytics with LTK, primarily. I do work with a few independent affiliate programs and sometimes we see big interest in those, too. For instance, this month we had a significant number of purchases through Jude Connally, but I don’t know specifically which dresses or garments, and we didn’t include these in the top sellers. And all I really know from my analytics is the number of times people clicked through a link and it resulted in a purchase.

Ooh! Fun! I see some things I absolutely love in the graphic above, too. I always have my assistant Lucy pull these numbers and set up this post for me. So on this Thursday evening I’m seeing them for the first time. I do see that this time Lucy listed the items from the top seller (#1) to the item in 12th place.
Stevie Cotton Crop Tee
The number one seller at Dressed for My Day in July was a clear…surprise! When the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale began, the AllSaints Stevie ribbed crewneck tee wasn’t even in my preview list or my personal wish list. From the photos on the website, this classic ribbed tee appeared to be VERY cropped. But as Abigail and I were leaving Nordstrom on my shopping day, I spotted the grey, white and black short sleeve tees on a rack and decided to try them on. They looked so polished and classic.

Sure enough, the ribbed crewneck tee is cropped, but not so much as to show my midriff at all. It hangs nicely over the waistband of my high and midrise jeans. I’ve sung its praises loudly because this fitted (but not too fitted) tee is such a closet staple and has such a modern length. Perfect for the woman who doesn’t want to tuck or even do a front tuck. It’s still available in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in a couple of sizes for just at $35, but it will go up on Monday to $49-$55, depending on the color. I purchased the large, but I think the medium would have worked fine. It has a lot of stretch.
Wild Orchid Pants
I think these wild orchid linen pants from J.Jill have been on either my list or your list all summer. Ha! They are indeed some great linen crops.

I usually size down to a small in tops at J.Jill, but get a medium in bottoms. That’s what I did this time, too, but they are pretty roomy. The linen pants in this wild orchid are still available in most sizes, and they’re practically giving them away at this point. They’re marked down to $34.99, which is about 60% off the original price AND you get another 40% off that, making them $21. What?!? The quality is a steal at that price.
Faherty Portia Top
Here’s another Nordstrom Anniversary Sale favorite. This top was a surprise to me, too. I hadn’t ordered it, but found it in the store on my shopping day. It’s super soft and versatile for moving into fall. The Faherty Portia Top is a lovely casual option at a great price right now, but it goes up significantly Monday.

Since purchasing the Faherty top in the sale, I’ve ordered additional Faherty designs straight from the brand. I plan on showing those new arrivals soon on the blog. They’re high quality, elevated casual designs from an American family brand. You can check out Faherty HERE.
Marled Knit Blazer
I knew the minute I saw the marled knit blazer from the Nordstrom brand in the #NSale preview that it was a winner. And it didn’t disappoint. In fact, the Nordstrom brand has been hitting it out of the park lately.

This luxe feeling Nordstrom marled knit blazer has such a pleasant weight to it and a beautiful drape. It feels cozy and casual, but definitely elevates jeans and sneakers or booties. It runs true to size and keeps popping back up in the sale as returns from double orders come back in.
Relaxed Denim Jean Shorts
Uh oh! Like I said, I make my own list of favorites and give those to Lucy without ever seeing the analytics for the top sellers. Hint: you may be seeing these again further down the list. If you purchased the relaxed denim jean shorts from Talbots, I sure hope you’re enjoying them as much as I am mine.

Surprisingly these raw edge denim shorts are still available in a large number of sizes, including petite and plus petites. They’re marked down considerably, making them a good purchase you’ll wear again next summer. I think the 5″ inseam (Petite: 4 1/2″; Plus Petite: 5 1/2″) is one that works well for most women.
Slim Silk Blouse
I did indeed purchase the slim silk blouse by Vince in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but I don’t think we have a still photo of it. You can see a video of my modeling it in my LTK Shop HERE. I love that it accommodates my larger upper arms nicely and the silk is just luxurious.

I’m planning to reintroduce navy into my wardrobe this fall and winter, so I think this coastal blue slim silk blouse will play a major role. It fits true to size to a little small; I opted for the large to accommodate my upper arms.
Cloud Fleece Sweatshirt
Abigail and I both ended up with a cloud fleece sweatshirt from Zella in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I actually still have hers here; it’s going to be a birthday present next month. Ha! If you purchased one you know how silky soft it is and how the thickness is just perfection.

The Zella cloud fleece sweatshirt is still available in most colors, but the sizes are getting picked over. Right now in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this classic sweatshirt is $39.99, but on Monday it goes up to almost $60. It fits true to size; I have a medium.
Paul Green Unity Platform Sneakers
Ooh! Here’s another one of my favs. If you purchased these Paul Green Unity platform sneakers you know they are like walking on clouds. Plus the interior is so soft and comfortable on the foot.

The platform heel is very on trend. And I’m looking forward to wearing mine with full length trousers, too, for a really sporty look. I have them in all white and in the sand biscuit combo.
Land’s End Tankini Swimsuit Top
Well, here’s a surprise! Obviously posing for a swimsuit feature with Lands’ End was not my favorite thing to do. Ha! But hey, if it helped you to be able to find a great suit for the summer then it was worth it.

I haven’t actually worn mine other than that day. But we’re visiting family with a pool and friends on the lake later this month, so I’ll be taking it for a spin. And I just know I’m going to love wearing this Shirred V-neck Tankini Swimsuit Top and Swim Skirt Swim Bottoms.
Tailored Stretch Slim Pants
Well that was fast! I just showed these tailored stretch slim wide leg pants in yesterday’s blog post. They are a thick knit fabric that will be great for the fall, so versatile.

The tailored stretch slim wide ankle pants also come in ivory and berry. Let me know what color you got!
Stripe Cotton Gauze Button-Up Shirt
I didn’t include this cotton gauze button-up shirt in my list of favorites, but I do enjoy it. I’ve really enjoyed wearing more button-up shirts this summer and few tees. They’re just cooler to me.

The gauze button-up runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium. It comes in a couple of other color combinations and is still available in limited sizes.
Organic Linen Shirtdress
And our number 12 follower favorite is the Eileen Fisher organic linen shirtdress. I’ve worn this dress quite a bit this summer. It’s just so easy to put on and go, feels comfortable and looks classy. The organic linen is super soft and the dress has a lovely drape.

The geranium linen shirtdress is still available in most all sizes from XXS to 3X, and it’s marked down about 50% off.
Kay’s Favorite Things

Okay, let’s check out a few of the things I’ve enjoyed the most this July.
Denim Jacket
The L’Agence Janelle slim fit raw edge denim jacket was a big splurge, but I’m so happy with it. I’ve had my Levi’s denim trucker jacket for over 30 years, and I’ll still wear it frequently, no doubt. But I love the slim fit of this jacket, making it perfect to wear with dresses and wider leg trousers.

According to the L’Agence size guide, a size 8 or 10 is a large, so that’s the size I got and it works beautifully. I find that generally if you check the size guide, you’ll get the right size when ordering online. Just remember that every brand sizes differently.
Unity Platform Sneakers
Like I said, I too, love the Paul Green Unity platform sneakers. Above you saw the white ones and below you can see me wearing the sand biscuit combo.

Yes, these shoes are a big investment. But I have a pretty significant case of metatarsalgia in one foot, so they’re worth it to me. My feet love them! The Paul Green Unity platform sneakers are $319.99 in the Sale, but on Monday they go up to $455.00. That’s pretty significant savings.
Bony Levy BL Icon Diamond Pendant Necklace
Even before the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview came out I had a diamond pendant necklace on my list. Abigail had gotten one from Bony Levy last year and I just loved how it looked on her all year. I had envisioned a small circle one like hers, but the one in my price point that came out was this BL Icon diamond pendant. At first glance online, I was not impressed. But when I saw it in the store it looked so much more lovely. Really pictures don’t do it justice.

I’m beyond happy with my fine jewelry purchase in the #NSale. The Bony Levy BL Icon diamond pendant necklace is still available in white gold as I write this post.
Paris Satchel in Wickerback
I was gifted a bag by Patricia Nash a couple of months ago. But after spending some time on their website, I decided I wanted to order another one…or two. You know I’ve just fallen in love with cognac leather this year. I. cannot. get. enough. of. it. Hahaha!

I purchased two, but this wicker trimmed Paris Satchel is probably my favorite. That said, it’s no longer available. I love that all of the Patricia Nash bags I’ve seen feature beautiful velvet interiors. They’re just lovely.
Valledoria Crossbody Vintage Distressed Leather
But I’ve also enjoyed using the Valledoria Crossbody in Vintage Distressed Leather. This bag feels so substantial and impressive. But the size is just perfect for carrying the essentials. Again, that interior is plush.

You can always use code KAY10 at Patricia Nash Designs for 10% off your purchase.
Tommy Bahama Talullah Silk Camp Shirt
I think I listed the red version of this Tommy Bahama Talullah silk camp shirt in my June favorites. Well, I’ve probably worn this blue canal one even more.

It turns out they come out with a similar silk shirt every summer. I noticed they had a yellow one in the past, and I’ve seen a print one, too. Truly, this shirt is a classic and I’ll be holding it in my closet for next year for sure.
Relaxed Denim Jean Shorts
So yeah, here are those relaxed denim jean shorts on my list, too. They’re just so comfortable, but also a classic cut and fit.

Floral Spit Neck Top
And one of my favorite tops to wear with my denim shorts is this Lucky Brand floral split neck top. I love that it’s so soft and floaty and cool. But mostly I love the soft, pastel print.

The floral split neck top is still available in all sizes and is finally marked down 30%.
Lauren Polo Dress
And the last favorite I put on my list for July is the Lauren polo dress from Frank & Eileen. It’s also available at Nordstrom. This dress is just quite flattering, but also comfortable and easy. And the color is cheerful, too. But it is available in other colors at Frank & Eileen.

I have a large in this dress.
Thanks so much for stopping in today. Let me know if you purchased any of these favorites and what you thought. I’d love to hear from you today.

Blessed for My Day
The Bible instructs around 360 times not to be anxious, fearful or afraid. That’s well and good, but it’s not always that easy to turn off our anxieties. But if we will remember the other truths the Bible teaches us we will be able to put those fears aside and live with confidence and peace.
Choosing to not be anxious is more than a matter of willing it so. We can live in perfect peace when we keep our minds on the truth about God, His ways, His character and His promises. God is our refuge and our ever present help in time of need. He is our strong defender. And He loves us. Today, no matter what may try to cause you to fear or doubt, remember who God is and cling to Him.
You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word. ~ Psalm 119:114
I notice you want to wear your tennis shoes that have an elevation with full length pants. I am struggling to know where full length pants that are a straight cut should hit when I where shoes with a heel. When I try to get them longer they just bunch on the top of my foot & don’t drop down at the back.
Hi Elizabeth. I generally get my pants hemmed to wear with my platform sneakers (which are the lowest heel I will wear them with) so that they don’t drag the floor when I wear those. Then I can still wear them with up to a two inch heel and have them hit nicely. Whereas once it was deemed acceptable ONLY for your trousers or full leg pants to be at just 1/4 inch off the floor, those rules have become more ambiguous in recent years. Now we’re seeing full length trousers worn up to two inches off the floor or puddling on it. I still prefer mine to be 1/4 inch from the floor (what mine are with sneakers) to maybe an inch off the floor with a 2-inch heel. Hope that long-winded answer helped a little. Ha! 🤗
Thank you, Kay, for helping me shop the N Sale. I ordered the cropped tees in white, short sleeve and long sleeve. Love the slightly extra weight and silky smoothness. I had been looking for new white tees with tighter neck openings and slightly heavier weight than Talbots, things you can’t read online. Your comments about the weight sold me. And then today, I finally received the plaid knit blazer I had been chasing. Sadly, it was rust rather than burgundy and black rather than navy, But the real dealbreaker was that the fabric was mis-sewn and the plaid didn’t match in front. 🙁 But after I read this post, I checked on your gray knit blazer and they had one left. In my size. So I clicked your link and snagged it. 🙂
Haha! 🙌🏻 I do hope you like that blazer. And I’m so glad the tees were to your liking. Thanks for letting me know Lael.
