And sometimes I change into it after work as I wind down my day. It would also make a good sleeping bra if you like to wear one when you travel or nightly. I find it to fit nicely true to size. #1 Pre-fall Capsule Wardrobe 2025
The most popular post of August 2025 is our Pre-Fall Capsule Wardrobe 2025. No surprise here. We’re all at that point on the calendar where it gets a little tricky to get dressed for our day. As the temperatures fluctuate and summer clothes begin to feel a little tired, we want to have transitional items in our closet that help us feel fashionable but also dressed appropriately for this in between season. I loved the items we curated this wardrobe with and ended up purchasing several of them myself, including this shirt, these plaid cropped pants, this dress and this blazer. And I already own most of the rest of this capsule.
YouTube Video: 12 Tips to Look Stylish Without Looking Dressed Up
This was a little surprising because this video, unlike the others from the month, has had less than a week on the channel. but our most popular video for August is 12 Tips to Look Stylish Without Looking Dressed Up. Then again, I heard from viewer after viewer that they do have people question them about their outfit choices, making them feel like they are too dressed up when really all they’ve done is put some thought into their outfit. The bottom line of this video was to keep putting those outfits together and wear them with confidence, raising the bar wherever you go. It’s worth a watch if you haven’t already viewed it.
Kay’s Favorite Things
Now let me briefly share a few of my personal favorites from the month. This month I haven’t chosen items that I’ve been wearing so much. But I leaned into those things that I really like and look forward to wearing as the season progresses.
Athleta Pieces
I did wear this sporty outfit one day last week and absolutely loved it. I’m seeing so many similar sporty trouser options. This is a REAL trend, and I’m here for it. The high rise trousers fit true to size and they look polished while still feeling ultra comfortable.
L’Agence Janelle Jacket
I purchased my first L’Agence Janelle last winter, but I’m definitely favoring this biscuit colored jacket that they sent me recently. I wear a size large in these iconic denim jackets for a close to the body fit that isn’t tight at all.
Tuckernuck Eyelet Dress
This Eyelet Delaney Dress is so beautiful. It has me looking for an occasion to wear it! I wear my usual size medium in this dress.
M.M. LaFleur Travel Pieces & Paul Green Sneakers
I love everything about this outfit, including each individual piece. All comfort, but also completely classy. Everything runs true to size.

Blessed for My Day
Some people assume the Bible only contains do’s and don’ts, which make life harder and unenjoyable. But the truth is that God provides everything we need for life in His Word. Not only does He provide the parameters for godly living, which will ultimately protect us and guide us towards joy, but if we mine God’s Word for the depths of its treasures we also find so many nuggets of wisdom that make life even sweeter, more prosperous and more enjoyable.
For instance, when was the last time you talked to the Lord about your work? Have you read the Bible looking for direction and wisdom as it applies to your job? For that matter, have you considered what the Bible has to say about how you run your home, manage your personal finances, plan your pursuits and spend time with family? Indeed, God provides amazing bits of knowledge and wisdom throughout His Word that guide us in every area of life…if we seek for them like much fine gold. And remember, as we obey and follow those wise words, He opens our eyes to even more.
He who quarries stones may be hurt by them, and he who splits logs may be endangered by them. If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength. Wisdom has the advantage of giving success. ~ Ecclesiastes 10:9-10
