I’ll be doing a little traveling this fall. What about you? Even when I’m going to visit family or heading out on vacation, I like to look and feel a little polished. Today I’m sharing a small but mighty elevated fall travel capsule from M.M.LaFleur that works well especially for business travel, but I’ll travel with most of these pieces for more casual trips, too.

About M.M.LaFleur
M.M.LaFleur is an American sustainable brand known for their polished aesthetic and work-ready styles. Their clothes are designed with three primary components in mind: functional details (think: adjustable hems and bra-strap holders); comfort (and not just comfortable-for-a-blazer comfort—they strive for I-could-nap-in-this comfort); and style—so you can be the most chic, polished person in every room you enter. Elevated Fall Travel Day Outfit

I actually love to travel in a blazer…if I have one that is indeed comfortable, functional and versatile. This M.M.LaFleur travel blazer checks all the boxes with excellent scores. It’s amazingly lightweight, machine washable and wrinkle resistant. It has zippered pockets that are perfect for storing your ID or credit card as you navigate the airport.

But most importantly this chic jacket is flattering and polished. In fact, it was named the “best wrinkle-free blazer” by Oprah Daily. Created in M.M.LaFleur’s OrigamiTech fabric, this jacket will stand up to the tolls of travel but also look chic and sophisticated when you reach your destination.

For travel, I’ve worn the blazer over a favorite graphic tee and completed this “travel suit” with comfortable loafers from Paul Green. I got these in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale at a deep discount, but they are still available. You just can’t beat the comfort you get with Paul Green shoes. *chef’s kiss!* But I found these similar loafers at a much lower price.

I have traveled in similar outfits many times, and this combo really works for me. Especially when I need to be somewhere right after my arrival, this “travel suit” gets me there in style.
Elevated Business Day Attire
I’ll share more about these equally comfortable and chic travel pants as we check out my elevated business day attire. Here I’ve worn the travel blazer and travel pants from M.M.LaFleur with a silk shell in my closet. It’s no longer available in red, but they do have a similar option from the same brand in navy, ivory and black.

However, the idea here was simply to show you how beautifully these travel separates transition from the airport to the meeting room. So you can wear them over most any polished blouse in your closet for a similar effect. The travel blazer fits beautifully true to size; I’m wearing my usual size 10 for a very comfortable fit. Check out the reviews. You’ll be very impressed.

I also went with my usual size 10 in the Colby travel pant. Honestly, they’re a little roomy and I might could have sized down to an 8, especially since the pull-on pant features a flat front but an elasticized waistband.

The travel pants also feature concealed zipper pockets which will come in handy during your busy day. They’re made in that same lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, washable OrigamiTech fabric. Oh, and did I mention that both pieces are also available in cool charcoal grey, dark navy and olive green? You may remember seeing this jacket in our 2025 pre-fall capsule wardrobe. I shared them alongside the OrigamiTech Elena travel culotte. And M.M.LaFleur offers a Rina full length trouser pant in the OrigamiTech fabric as well.

For a work day, I paired the travel pieces with my Ally pumps. You can always use code KAYHEELS for $40 off your FIRST pair of Ally heels. They’re super comfortable and beautiful.

After Work Elevated Fall Travel Outfit
Last year M.M.LaFleur generously gifted me another one of their iconic staples, the Merritt Wrap Jardigan. This stretchy-yet-structured knit cardigan gives the vibes of a blazer, but looks a little more relaxed. It’s the perfect piece to travel with because it provides a little more warmth than the blazer. But also you can easily dress it up or down.

The jardigan fits true to size and comes in several nice neutrals. I’m wearing the latte. And have I mentioned that M.M.LaFleur is size inclusive with sizes 00 to 20 and XS to XXL? I’ve worn the jardigan over my button-up shirt from Brochu Walker, which I shared in yesterday’s YouTube video. It’s definitely my new favorite button-up for creating more polished outfits.

I’ve collected other favorites from M.M.LaFleur, as well as the items I’ve worn with my outfits, below. Remember you can use code KAY15 for 15% off at M.M.LaFleur. Today’s post was not sponsored and I was under no obligation to even share these gifted items. But I truly find the quality superb and I’ve added them to my closet. And I purchased additional items on my on dime. These are worthy investments, and I think you’ll agree.

Blessed for My Day
When we fully trust in the Lord we can be rest in His lovingkindness and provision. But trusting God is easier said than done. Don’t you think? On a day to day basis I have no trouble trusting God to provide and to accompany me through the events of the day. But when something unexpected comes down the pike, our faith is tested. That’s when we find out just how much we really trust God versus how much we’re just depending on things staying the same.
I’ve learned that trusting God is a practice. It requires diligence on my part. I try to take time each morning to acknowledge His faithfulness. I remind myself of how God has provided over the course of my life, my week. And then I take time to praise Him verbally, even audibly, for His character and His promises. Then each night I look back over my day and notice His presence and provision. Taking the time to reflect on God’s faithfulness helps build my faith. It also increases my gratitude.
The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life. ~ Psalm 42:8
I ordered the tank. May order the blazer, but, FYI, Code KAY15 is not working.
The tank? At MMLaFleur? Hmm. That code should be working. I’ll check on it. Thanks for letting me know.
I am a longtime fan of MMLF and glad they pass the Kay test! These travel outfits are sharp! Question: I find that bare ankles leave me very cold on planes or in offices. Any thoughts?
Ahh. I guess I haven’t gotten there yet. I still run hot. But on a plane you could always carry a pair of compression socks or even fuzzy socks to put on if you got chilled.
