I’m enjoying a little R&R in Michigan this week so, I’ll admit, I’m giving myself a little grace on my daily blog posts. Fortunately many of our favorite retailers have new arrivals in, so it’s a good time to highlight those and share my picks from them. Today I’m sharing my J.Jill August 2025 favorites, but I also have a few photos of the vineyard where we are staying.

I’m still enjoying my summer wardrobe, but as I sit outside in Michigan typing up this blog post, I’m aware that cooler days are ahead. It’s mild at first, but soon we will begin to see and feel the turn in the seasons. I’m actually looking out upon a beautiful vineyard that I walked through early this morning. As I strolled among the rows of young grapes I noticed they were still green and small, but it won’t be long before they are mature and ripe.

The change of seasons is much like growth. It happens while we’re watching but not really paying attention. While we’re enjoying the warmth of a summer breeze, the next season is actually blowing in, seemingly unannounced.

So while we continue to enjoy wearing our sleeves shift dresses, shorts and linen, it’s smart to think ahead a little to the next season. We may not be ready to purchase new things or pull the fall wardrobe out of storage, but we can begin to notice the trending colors, silhouettes and styles that are on the horizon.

All of our favorite brands have introduced small transitional lines that still suit the warm, muggy days of summer but also seem to beckon the coming season with new colors, fresh layers and textured fabrics. So whether you’re looking for something special to wear on a late summer vacation or for an early fall event, or you just want to have something new and fresh for those early days of fall, I invite you to look through my J.Jill August 2025 favorites. You may find something that piques your interest or you may just enjoy browsing through these early fall/late summer styles the way I enjoyed meandering through the maturing grape vines this morning. And if you haven’t done so already, be sure to check out my favorites from Talbots new collection HERE. I hope you have a lovely day! Thanks so much for dropping in.

Blessed for My Day
“There but for the grace of God go I.” Have you ever said that? I know I have. When we realize that we have made mistakes and those mistakes could have costs us dearly, but for the grace of God, we are humbled and sobered.
In the same way though, I look back on my life and also see times when I did not make costly mistakes. It was still by God’s grace, mind you. But because I chose to follow the precepts I’d learned in His Word, I was saved the heartache, loss and unseen consequences of bad choices. Praise the Lord! He is indeed good and gracious to spare us the cost of some foolish mistakes. But His grace is best appreciated when we choose to follow His biblical instructions for life and trust Him with the results.
Kay, I’m so glad you’re enjoying your vacation and having a relaxing time too. The photos are lovely 😊.
It looks like you are enjoying the scenes I see every time I drive to town. I am heading to Florida for an event and the outfits I am taking are all thanks to your advice.
Have a wonderful time here.
So glad you are giving yourself alittle grace and down time. The photos are pretty. I’m not ready to do Fall just yet as trying to live in the moment of Summer days but so true how fast it comes upon us and it won’t be long. I love Fall fashion as in a jeans, sweater and boots girl.
Beautiful pictures from Michigan my home state. We will be in wine country camping the end of August. Enjoy your trip
Amen to the Blessed for my Day inspiration.
I’m so glad that spoke to you. 😊
