With the end of each month I like to look at my analytics and see what resonated most with my readers and viewers. I’d love for you to tell me in the comments, in fact, if there were particular blog postsvideos or other content you enjoyed this month. But today I’m going to share with you what was hot at DFMD in June, according to my affiliate link analytics.

Hot at DFMD in June (1)

This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links.

I don’t just share these top sellers to give you FOMO. Ha! I check these analytics so that I can see what resonates with my viewers and readers. It’s important to me that I provide content and share styles that align with a wide base of my followers. I truly try to share shoppable items in a wide range of price points and a reasonably wide range of style aesthetics. But looking through these analytics helps me to find the sweet spot for the majority of my content.

And this month’s findings just drove home the point that many of my readers and YouTube viewers love to shop at Talbots. Ha! No surprise there!

You’ll see that the good majority of the top sellers are indeed from Talbots. Fortunately it’s a good day to shop Talbots, too. Today is the final day of their 40% off deal with FREE shipping on orders of $150+.

By the way, I’m sharing the top 14 top sellers because there was just a slight natural break in my analytics there. So some months I may share the top 13 and others the top 15. JSYK.

14. Dreamy Stripe Linen Popover

I purchased this pretty stripe linen popover for my vacation in Maine, but I don’t think I ever got to wear it since the weather was not conducive. I’ve worn it since, however, with my white jeans. Oh so pretty!

The popover runs a little large. I have the medium because they didn’t have a small in the store that day. But you might want to consider sizing down.

13. Miller Cloud Sandals in Spark Gold

I was gifted these Tory Burch Miller Cloud sandals last year and wore them to pieces. I pulled them out to wear again this year and was delighted to see that they were still available at Nordstrom.

They’re super comfortable, a little sporty and so on trend. The sandals run true to size.

12. Estee Lauder Pure Color Hi-Lustre Lipstick

I’ve been wearing this Estee Lauder lipstick for a couple of months at least, and I get compliments on it and questions about it almost daily. It’s a great lipstick. Has staying power, doesn’t dry out and goes on nicely.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Hi-Lustre Lipstick in shade Candy // white Caviar ceramic collar necklace // Caviar Color onyx pendant necklace c/o // Signature Caviar gold station earrings c/o // Derby two-tone Caviar buckle bracelet c/o

And of course I especially like this color. It’s Candy.

11. White Slim Ankle Jeans

I did indeed wear my white ankle jeans a couple of times on my vacation to Maine. I wear a size 8 in these. They have nice stretch and a mid-to-high rise.

This silhouette is a nice node to the straight leg trend without being too full in the legs.

10. Frank & Eileen Joedy Button-Up Shirt

Button-up shirts are classic staples in a woman’s four-season wardrobe, but this year they’re really “having a moment.” But some of the ones I’ve tried in the past felt heavy and not comfortable at all. This Frank & Eileen top seller is pure joy to wear. It’s lightweight, so soft, pleasantly oversized and has buttons positioned just so for a woman’s body.

Joedy Superfine in French Blue

I purchased the white Joedy button-up shirt last year, but I’m really enjoying this French blue (c/o). And while these are pricey shirts, they’ll stay in my wardrobe forever. I’ll never again have to look for the perfect button-up shirt because I found it. Ha! That said, you can find nice button-up shirts for less, like this 100% organic cotton button-up shirt.

9. Paul Green Leather Platform Sneakers

Now this was a surprise to me. I’ve been sharing my Paul Green sneakers for a couple of years now, mainly just organically because I know they’re pricey. So I don’t really highlight them much. I just wear them. Because I love them.

Linen Pants

I got my ultra comfortable Paul Green sneakers in a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a couple of years ago, and they’re no longer available. But I’ve been liking to these similar sneakers and these similar sneakers, both of which have been converting like crazy this month. If you purchased some, I hope you’re enjoying them as much as I love mine. Between the two, I’d probably pick the Faye sneakers. I saw them recently in the store, and I love the slightly off white color. Very sharp!

8. Short Sleeve T-Shirt Dress

We all love a good buy. And this t-shirt dress from Free Assembly at Walmart is a steal. It comes in several nice colors and some stripes, too. Inventory keeps going in and out, so check in frequently for your size in your preferred color.

The t-shirt dress runs true to size.

7. Linen Tab Sleeve A-Line Shirt

I’ve been wearing J.Jill linen shirts for several years at least. The one below is from last year; I didn’t purchase a new one this year. Color options and sizes are now limited, but it’s worth a look. These are probably my absolutely favorite linen shirts of all the ones I’ve tried and worn.

Like most things at J.Jill, the shirts do run a little large. I’m wearing a size small comfortably.

6. Ankle Length Travel Pants

Oh my, you know I love my travel pants! I neglected to take them on my trip to Maine and I regretted it every day, no joke. Especially since the weather turned so cool, I really wished I had these with me. Unless something really changes my mind, I’ll be wearing these when I travel to London in August.

Me and Blake at Kenwood Talbots

I love these ankle length travel pants, but I do have and love the full length pants, too. Those come in a full range of sizes and navy as well.

5. Embroidered Sleeve Sweatshirt

You know I got plenty of wear out of this pretty red sweatshirt in Maine. I don’t go on vacation without a pretty sweatshirt.

white slim ankle jeans // red embroidered crewneck sweatshirt // handbag // earrings

This one runs true to size; however, the sleeves are on the thinner side.

4. Striped Ruffle Neck Tank

I don’t seem to have a photo with just the ruffle neck tank. Talbots calls it a shell, but it reads like a tank to me. And I love that the ruffle helps conceal your bra strap so you don’t need to worry about that.

Skimmers & Ruffle Square Neck Shell and Jacket
red perfect skimmers // indigo/white stripe ruffle square neck shell // washed linen jacket // similar sandals // earrings // necklace

This ruffle neck tank works great under jackets, as you can see above. It’s just something different than the plain tees and tanks.

3. High Waist Straight Ankle Jeans

I also wore these jeans on my vacation. Light wash denim is really trending, so these are a step in that direction. And of course the wider, straight leg is also on trend.

I also wear an 8 in these, but they are a little more snug than the white jeans above.

2. Bomber Style Linen Jacket

Ooh. Here’s another favorite of mine. I love the relaxed vibe of this smart linen jacket. The white is very versatile and so fun to wear. But it also comes in additional colors.

The jacket is roomy by design and I’m wearing a medium for that oversized fit. But if you prefer a closer fit you might consider sizing down.

1. Effortless Jersey Medallion Open Back Dress

And finally this sweet dress. It’s a perfect option for vacation. I was supposed to wear this the night I dined at the Bar Harbor Inn, but alas it was too cold. But it won’t go to waste in my closet. This pretty dress begs to be worn.

The colors are so pretty in this summer dress. And you can easily wear a regular bra with it because it has those little snaps underneath the shoulder straps that help hold your bra straps in place. Nice detail!

Blessed for My Day

Do you want to sharpen your brain? I have joined my mom in doing the New York Times Wordle most mornings. It’s fun and I usually do pretty well. But my favorite way to sharpen my brain is to memorize scripture. Not only am I stretching the parts of my brain involved in memorizing, but I’m transforming my mind and guarding my heart in the process.

It’s been said that we become what we focus on. If that’s true – and I think it is – then we are best served to focus on truth. When we attempt to memorize a Bible verse we find that we can actually do more than we thought. With the help of the Holy Spirit we are able to remember what we thought we could not. And He uses that scripture to change our thinking and even our feelings. Why not try it this week?

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ~ Romans 12:2

  1. Hi Kay, I always enjoy your sponsored posts, because I get to know about products and companies that I would probably never hear of otherwise. I am fortunate that I have so many brick-and-mortar stores near me, so I can do most of my shopping in person. But occasionally I can’t find something that I need, and I turn to online shopping. I am learning so much about shopping both ways from your posts! I recently bought a t-shirt dress from LL Bean – I think it was a bit of the ‘Coastal Grandma’ look, which works because I live on the East Coast – haha! But I’m really not a ‘Coastal Grandma’ dresser, so I dressed it up a bit with my jewelry, and it was really fun to wear. I used to just throw something on to do errands, and always admired the ladies who looked so put together, but I couldn’t figure out how they did it. Now that I follow your blog, I have fun putting something nice together no matter where I’m going or what I’m doing, and I feel really good about that! 🙂

    1. Hi Barbara, That’s right. We’ll all see the selections in the sale today at noon ET along with the prices and all info. Then on the 13th you’ll need to sign into your Nordstrom Nordy account and access will open for you to shop. I’ll guide you through it in the #NSale NSiders newsletter. I think we have a lot of new shoppers among us this year. You’re not alone! And I’ll help you out. It’s a great sale!

  4. I purchased the red eyelet sweatshirt yesterday at my local Talbots. I enjoy your blog because I have EF, Frank and Eileen, Tory Burch, Halogen, and love Nordstrom.

  5. I see a whole lot of other people liked that pink medallion jersey dress! The good news is, I must have really great taste. Ha ha, the bad news is I could see myself in this dress five times at church. But I wore it with a little white shorter linen blazer, and got so many compliments. In Houston, we over air condition to compensate for our hundred degree temperatures, so you don’t dare go to church or out to dinner without a wrap. Love that dress !

  6. Kudos to you Kay! In the past two days, while in very large group situations, random ladies have approached me to say how lovely I looked!! It shocked me, made me blush a bit but was very confirming. The advice I’d gleaned from you definitely worked. Although I have always dressed for my day, even in my 22 years of retirement, you have taught me how to pull it altogether in a way that suits my lifestyle and personality. It is an ongoing process so i look forward to more of your practical and sensible suggestions

    1. How lovely! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m so glad I could play some small part in that, but it’s all you! Very encouraging.
