June 30, 2026

We’re wrapping up June (what?!?) and moving on into July, so it’s time to take a look at a few of our favorite things for this month. I like to analyze the things that my followers are actually purchasing through my links. And I also just enjoy seeing what has resonated with you. So I’ve had my assistant Sophie run the numbers, and we’re checking out the top sellers at Dressed for My Day during the month of June. I’ll also share with you a few of my favorite things, as well as the blog posts and YouTube videos that have gotten the most traction in June.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.

A Few of Your Favorite Things

I determine your favorite things for the month by looking at the analytics in my affiliate marketing platforms. There I can see what you clicked through and made purchases. But I cannot see who made those purchases or what you actually bought. I just wanted you to know that when you click through my links your purchasing and credit card information stays confidential between you and the retailer.

When you shop through my links I do potentially earn a small commission. That’s how I pay the bills here at Dressed for My Day and at home. As much as I love hanging with you ladies and enjoy getting to serve you, at the end of the day this indeed is a business. It’s a fulltime+ job for me, and my husband and two assistants also put in a lot of hours here each week. So I am beyond grateful for your support, as you shop my links, read my posts and watch my videos. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Tretorn Rawlins 2.0 Sneakers

Modern Sneakers

I’ve had my Tretorn Rawlins 2.0 sneakers for at least three years, maybe four, and they’re no worse for the wear. Speaking of wear, I wore them comfortably as I walked all over London during my recent trip to England. And my favorite way to wear them? Without socks. Surprisingly the inside of this shoe is very soft and comfortable. If you do plan to wear thick socks, you might want to size up 1/2 size; otherwise, I’d say they run true to size for a very comfortable fit. I now own them in the navy trim and the white on white.

Beach Gingham Linen Blend Blazer

Gingham Blazer // see the original blog post for details

If you love wearing blazers as much as I do, this black and white gingham blazer is a fun one to add to your summer wardrobe. I can’t remember a summer since I started blogging in 2018 when gingham wasn’t on trend, so this classic print is always a safe purchase. Dress it up with a white shell or wear it casually like I prefer to do with a graphic tee. For more on how I styled this top seller see this blog post.

SALE NOTE: At Talbots you can get 40% off your full-price purchase through July 1.

Lightweight Woven Stretch Half-Zip Dress

Lightweight Woven Dress // see the original blog post for details

Since the Talbots try-on session shown above and in this blog post, I’ve actually ordered and received this super functional lightweight woven stretch half-zip dress. It hits about two inches above the knee on my 5’8″ frame, but it also comes in petite, plus and plus petite sizes. The soft, silky fabric has SunWell UPF 50+ and is perfect for a day of travel, especially by car. The dress runs true to size.

Vintage Jersey “Summer in Corfu” Graphic Tee

I love a good graphic tee, especially one that is subtle and not silly. I enjoy wearing them under blazers especially, but you can’t go wrong wearing them with your favorite denim shorts either. This “summer in Corfu” graphic tee runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium very comfortably. An it works beautifully with these linen pants in French blue, too.

Pintuck Chambray Top

Chambray Top // see the original blog post for details

The pintuck chambray top is the kind of shirt every woman needs to have in her closet for summer. It’s the shirt you’ll reach for over and over when you stand in front of your closet with a pair of pants, shorts or a skirt and wonder, “What can I wear with this?” Chambray goes with everything! This feminine tops runs true to size for a roomy, relaxed fit and comes in petite and plus sizes, too.

Washed Linen Wide Leg Crop Pants

Washed Linen Wide Crop Pants // see the original blog post for details

The washed linen wide crop pants in grove green became fast favorites in my summer wardrobe. I’ve worn them with black and white, chambray blue and a simple white linen shirt. They fit so comfortably true to size, making them a go-to pant for summer days. These pants also come in white and dark walnut, and they’re available in a full range of sizes in misses, petite, plus and plus petite fits.

The Cooling Anti-Chafe Slip Short Underwear

7-inch Slip Short // see the original blog post for details

Any time you see me wearing a casual dress or skirt, you can bet I’m wearing the 7-inch Thigh Society slip shorts underneath. They not only prevent thigh chafing, but they keep you cool and comfortable while eliminating panty lines. They come in other lengths and colors, as well as a full range of sizes.

Relaxed Raw-Edge Jean Shorts

Raw-Edge Shorts // see the original blog post for details

I’m seeing women all over social media debate whether or not denim shorts are appropriate over 40, LOL. But I don’t think the question is appropriateness. I think you simply have to ask yourself if they have a place in your summer wardrobe. And if you, like me, like having at least one pair of comfortable blue jean shorts in your drawers for the hot days, then you’ll love the relaxed raw-edge denim shorts from Tommy Bahama. They fit beautifully true to size and have a 5″ inseam. They come in sizes 0-16.

Drop Waist Midi Dress

Drop Waist Midi Dress // See the original YouTube video.

I shared this beautiful and affordable drop waist midi dress in my YouTube video on special occasion dresses for summer. Evidently it was a big hit. I truly love this dress myself. But I do wish I’d sized down to an 8 in it. So if you’re interested in this filmy, feminine dress and you hover between sizes, I suggest going down, especially if you’d like it more fitted. Mine is quite roomy at the waist. Plus and petite sizes are almost sold out. And this dress is currently 40% off.

Linen Slip Midi Skirt

I’m wearing this linen slip midi skirt as I type up this blog post. Yes, it’s cool and easy enough for everyday wear. But you can dress it up, too. I love that the waist is gently elasticized, but it also has a flat front, making it much easier to style. It comes in plus sizes, too.

#1 – 6 Summer 2026 Fashion Trends that Feel Effortless & Fresh

And the number one most popular blog post for June 2026 is our post on summer trends. No surprise there! Most women enjoy hearing about the trends. We may not like all of them. And we certainly don’t need to wear all of them. But staying abreast of the trends will help you create outfits that look a little more modern.

Top YouTube Video of June 2026

I generally only produce four videos in a month, but it’s still enlightening to run the numbers and find out which one resonated best with my audience. Of course, views aren’t everything. Sometimes a video will have fewer views but more comments and thumbs up, signifying that it was more popular with my subscribers while other viewers were less likely to click through. And in the end, I’m more concerned about pleasing YOU than I am the casual viewer who pops in one day and out the next.

This month’s top performing video was the Anti Frump Guide to Summer Skirts. Let me know if the tips I provided in this video have helped you any. They actually have made me more confident in wearing skirts, and I’m wearing them more frequently than in past seasons.

Kay’s Favorite Things in June 2026

Finally I like to share a few of my personal favorites each month. By the time I get to this point in these posts, I figure you and I both are ready to draw it to a close. So rather than wax on about each item, I just fill a shopping widget with my favs. But I did make this an editorial shopping boutique this time, so you can read my notes on items of interest. Use the scroll bar on the right as needed to see the whole list of 19 items.

Thanks so much for stopping in. I’d love to hear from you today if you purchased any of these top sellers or anything else through Dressed for My Day during June. I always appreciate your kind feedback. Have a great day!

Blessed for My Day

Let’s face it, we don’t really have a Christian nation. Maybe at one time this country was truly filled with people who wanted to live according to biblical mandates and God’s promises. But if that was the case, those days have passed. That said, it’s not too late to be a godly people. In fact, there is certainly an overwhelming number of believers in the United States who do indeed desire God’s blessing and direction for our country. We do have a voice and we do have a platform. We are not without hope.

So let’s choose today to be godly citizens. Let’s invest in our country, but also cover it in prayer. Let’s pray for our leadership and aim to be law-abiding people who do our part to build the moral fibers of our nation. As I used to tell my children when they complained about something at school or in their church youth group, let’s determine to be a part of the solution rather than just griping about the problems.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! ~ Psalm 33:122

xoxo, Kay
