Good Monday morning! Let’s make it a good week. I’ll admit I’m dragging a bit today, but I’m determined to sprinkle my week with acts of service, meaningful moments with my loved ones, healthy exercise, fun recreation, hard work and relaxing times, too. Here’s to a good week! I had a couple of golf outfits ready to show you today, but I’m going to put that off for tomorrow. I awoke to the news that Talbots is having a Cyber Monday event with 40% off sitewide, so I thought it would be worthwhile to share with you a few of my favorites.

This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links.
First I’ll share with you some things I own from Talbots and am enjoying. Then I’ll fill a shopping widget with other things that I’ve noticed on the website that I think are absolutely fabulous. Some of them look completely new to me. Or maybe I just missed seeing them before. At any rate, EVERYTHING is 40% off. But, being a CYBER SALE, the 40% off deal is ONLINE ONLY. And my bet is it will only be TODAY. If memory serves me correctly, they had a similar event in May, and it was indeed one day only.
You’ll also get $5 shipping today only.
Let’s get going!
First up, I’m loving my “tossed flower” perfect crops (wearing Curvy fit, size 8, TTS) and denim slub ruffle trim shell (wearing M). You can get all the details here or shop the pants and shell directly from Talbots. Just click on the highlighted text in my copy or in the captions to shop the products.

I’ve included links to the other items in the outfit above (and other outfits, too), but only the pants and shell are from Talbots, and thus 40% off. The “tossed flower” perfect crops (wearing Curvy fit, size 8, TTS) are actually marked down, and you get another 40% off that discounted price.
Talbots has lots of great linen pieces to choose from. Check out all of their linen HERE. But I’m sharing some of my favorites below.
I’m really enjoying my white linen jacket. If blazers aren’t your thing, here’s a great chance to add a lightweight linen jacket to your wardrobe that is more relaxed and casual. It is unlined and very cool. The linen jacket comes in blue, sunrise pink and flax in a full range of sizes (limited color options).

I have the demi boot linen pants in navy and in flax. But they come in a couple of other colors, too, and in sizes from petite to misses to plus and plus petites (limited colors). The misses fit runs true to size for a roomy fit. I love the ankle length.
The Keri raffia sandals are definitely trending this summer. They run true to size. I think they help you create a very traditional and elevated look that is also on trend. See more of the details of the above outfit HERE.

But if you do enjoy a blazer, I highly recommend Talbots white linen blazer. The one I’m wearing above is from a few years back, but the white linen blazer they’re offering this year is the same quality with updated detailing, such as a slightly longer length. It does come in petite and plus sizes, too. Check out the details about the above outfit HERE.

I’m also enjoying my linen pull-on shorts (TTS) and white linen shell, shown above. The linen pull-on shorts come in a few other colors plus they have similar shorts in a blue and ivory stripe. They come in a full range of sizes, but pickings are getting slim. The white linen shell fits true to size for a roomy fit, and it’s going fast. But they also have a similar Trapunto linen shell in several pretty colors here. I’m thinking about adding one or two of those to my wardrobe.
Earlier this spring I shared a post about 5 Ways to Wear Natural Colored Jeans. I’m still seeing lots of natural or ecru colored jeans, but I haven’t found any yet that I like as much as Talbots’ natural modern ankle jeans.

The natural modern ankle jeans fit true to size for a rather slim fit. They’re ankle length with a moderately high waist. They natural modern ankle jeans come in petites, too. I paired them above with my tipped v-neck slub sweater vest. I do like this vest and wear it a good bit, but it does run a little large and has a very low neckline. I’ve topped the outfit with my casual cotton plaid blazer. It runs true to size for a generous fit.
Of course, I love, love, love my eyelet ruffle shoulder dress that I wore to Abigail’s rehearsal dinner. It also comes in a beautiful Biscayne blue. It runs true to size for a slightly roomy fit, and is available in petites in this pink only.

I’m also really enjoying my fiesta paisley crops (wearing the curvy fit) from Talbots. Maybe they’re a little “out there,” but I think they’re quite easy to work with. Still, I think my favorite way to wear them is with a simple white tee. They’re still available in lots of sizes and in the curvy fit.

I’ll wrap it up with one more garment I have and enjoy, then I’ll give you a shopping widget filled with new-to-me pieces I’m crushing on (and that may end up in my cart!). I’m really enjoying these straight leg crop jeans (also in other colors). They’re soft and comfortable. And I think they’re a nice length, especially for women who might not want to wear shorts.

The straight leg crop jeans are such a soft, pretty blue, but they come in other colors, too. And they run true to size.
Okay! Here’s that shopping widget I promised with other fun pieces for summer. Lots of these would be perfect for Independence Day celebrations, depending on where you’re celebrating. But others are just really nice for all summer long. Some of my favorites include this nylon and spandex jersey sheath dress, this striped linen skirt and this linen sheath dress. And the colors in this knit maxi dress are amazing. The 40% off offer does include things like swimsuits and coverups, too.
Thanks so much for dropping in. Have a great Cyber Monday! Don’t forget Talbots Cyber Monday deal is online only, today only, but it does also include $5 shipping.
Blessed for My Day
What must you accomplish today? What’s truly important? Sometimes I let the urgent overtake the important, thus, the important things on my list never get accomplished. Of course sometimes the urgent does indeed have to supersede the things we consider valuable. But more often than not, I allow a sense of urgency or panic to dictate my priorities when, instead, a true understanding of what is significant should help me choose my priorities instead. That sense of panic sometimes is induced by other people, dwindling resources, comparison or simple distractions. It’s really up to me to keep my focus on my priorities.
Today let’s ask the Lord to direct our day. Let’s allow Him to remind us of what is truly important for this day. Those may not even be the most sizable tasks, but could be small things that amount to a great deal. But if we allow Him to show us what is important – be it relationships, opportunities for service, time with Him and in His Word, good work, etc. – we can do those things with the assurance that they matter. And that should infuse us with enthusiasm and energy to get the tasks done.
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. ~ Ephesians 5:15-17
Thank you, Kaye, for all you do! I have to admit when your post landed in my inbox this morning my heart skipped a beat as I’d just placed an order yesterday! Timing is everything! A quick online chat with a Talbots customer service representative this afternoon took care of my order $ adjustment. Gotta love Talbots! ~MaryAnne in Atlanta
