Well we’ve wrapped up another year, but we also said goodbye to December. Before we get too far into January, let’s check out a few of our favorite things from the last month of 2025. These are the top sellers at the blog and YouTube channel during the month, as well as a few of the things I’ve been loving.

Your Favorite Things

Let’s begin with the top sellers for December, 2026. These are the items that readers and viewers have been snapping up this month as I’ve shared affiliate links in my content, whether here at the blog, on my YouTube channel or through Instagram and my newsletter. Let’s count down from number 10 to the hottest seller of all. I always have my assistant Lucy run the numbers and set up this post, so I’ll enjoy discovering the top sellers with you as I write it up!
#10- Avara Brighton Straight Leg Jeans
No surprise here! I’ve learned that if I absolutely love something, many of my readers do, too. And I’ve been wearing these Brighton straight leg jeans on repeat lately.

If you’ve been looking for a modern relaxed fit straight leg jean in a nice medium wash, these could be the ones. They run true to size for a nice fit. Keep in mind that I’m 5’8″, so you can see that they are long enough on me to work nicely with booties, but I can get by with some of my sneakers, too.
#9- Quince Satchel Bag
This Quince satchel bag is the more economical version of my Coach satchel, which costs significantly more.

But I actually like this bag better than my pricier one. It has magnetic closure on the open side pockets, which the Coach bag lacks. And the leather and interior are every bit as nice.
#8- Land’s End Cooling Button Front Shirt
This popular shirt was one of our top sellers for the year, too. I know how hard it can be to find the perfect white button-front shirt, so I ordered quite a few and ran through my favorites in this popular blog post.

This shirt was one of my favorites in the list because it has a nice polished fabric, but not too fancy. And the fit is relaxed but not oversized. It’s a nice thickness and the sleeves fit nicely, too. The shirt fits true to size and comes in other colors and patterns, too.
#7- Talbots Plush Crewneck Sweater
I hope the fact that this plush crewneck sweater is on our top sellers list means that some of you wore it for holiday events. But this super soft bedazzled pullover would be pretty for Valentine’s Day, too, as well as personal special events.

The sweater comes in a couple of other colors and is marked down significantly. It runs true to size.
#6- Refined Ribbed Lettuce-Trim Turtleneck
I’ve enjoyed wearing this ribbed ribbed lettuce-trim turtleneck (really more of a mockneck) top with sweaters this winter. It’s lightweight and has a lot of stretch. So it runs true to size.

The ivory color I’m wearing is still available in most sizes and is marked down. However, it’s final sale and can’t be returned. They have other nice colors that are available and not final sale. It’s a great layering piece, polished and feminine.
#5- Quince Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater
It looks like Lucy chose an older photo for this Quince Mongolian cashmere crewneck sweater. But that just shows how frequently I reach for this one, especially when traveling. I wore it in Alaska, West Texas and, as shown below, Door County, Wisconsin, last fall, just to name a few. That means I’m choosing it over similar sweaters from Nordstrom and Vince.

I did size up to a large in this popular $50 sweater, and maybe that’s why I prefer it. But I also really love the almost neutral tone oatmeal color, which goes beautifully with all of my travel capsule wardrobes.
#4- Hand-Embroidered Jacquard Soft Jacket
I’m discovering that many of my followers enjoy shopping J.Jill. So I’m delighted to see this hand-embroidered jacquard soft jacket in our top sellers.

Unfortunately this unique piece is sold out. But you can always count on J.Jill to have similar eclectic styles. I found this embroidered ruana in stock, and it checks all the same boxes.
#3- Double Face Wool Blend Coat
Ahh, now this double faced wool blend coat is truly lovely. In my thinking, if you are one of my followers who invested in this stunning red jacket you have a classic piece that you’ll enjoy for years.

The Talbots Red Pop color is about as close as you can get to a truly neutral red, and of course it coordinates beautifully with many of their other styles. The coat fits true to size and has a lovely drape.
#2- Quilted Barn Jacket
Barn jackets have continued to trend this year, and this quilted barn jacket from Talbots is a really nice find. It’s a nice medium weight and fits true to size. The jacket is available in multiple color options and different fits, too.

This is a jacket you can easily wear through the winter in warmer climates. Or if you’re in a colder area you can pick it back up in the spring.
#1 – Talbots Barely Boot Jean
And Talbots is capturing the top 3 spots with these barely boot jeans, which I think I mentioned as one of my favorites last month. As many of my followers purchased these trending, super flattering jeans, I’m surprised to find that they’re still in stock in most sizes.

The demi boot jeans come in misses, petite, plus and plus petite sizes. They’re super soft and have a nice amount of stretch. But they don’t stretch out a lot with wear. They hit me right below the navel.
Kay’s Favorite Things
Now I’d like to share a few of my favorite things from December. Having just wrapped up the holidays, several of my favs are things I enjoyed as I hosted Christmas for my kids. But I do have a fashion or two in the list, too.
Velvet Tree Decorations
I’m in the process of taking down my Christmas decorations, but I half considered keeping these velvet tree decorations on the mantle. Ha! I’m sure I’ll go ahead and pack them away with everything else. But I loved the touch of whimsy they added to my morning room.

The velvet trees, sold in sets of 3, also come in blue.
Whimsical Felted Holiday Garland
The felted holiday garland also added a festive touch to my decorations. I was weary of the same old greenery and thought this might be fun. Sure enough, that’s exactly what it is.

I truly enjoyed hosting my kids and granddaughter for Christmas this year. We had such an amazing time. Our hearts are still full. I felt like my new decorations added a fresh touch alongside the more traditional ones my kids were familiar with.
Spruce Tree Patchwork Quilt
My daughter and son-in-law stayed in our guest bedroom. They said the spruce tree patchwork quilt was as comfortable as it was festive.

I am leaving this evergreen quilt on the bed for now. In fact that’s why I chose this one: it looks like a winter quilt, not just a Christmasy one.
Chappywrap Blankets
I’m typing this blog post up with a fair isle Chappywrap blanket draped over my lap right now. They’re the perfect weight to keep off the chill, and super soft. Two of mine definitely look a little Christmasy, and I’ll probably tuck them away until next year. But I have a third one that I’ll be keeping out.

You can use code KAYHARMS at Chappywrap for an amazing 20% off their beautiful blankets. They’re machine-washable, durable but soft and woven, never dyed. This New England brand continues to use the same German manufacturing plant and they have new designs regularly. I’m so glad my daughter-in-law introduced me to this family owned business.
Caraway Wooden Utensil Set
Since both sets of my kids have gotten married in the last six years, they have fresh, new kitchen tools and appliances. Of course I’m thrilled for them. But as I’ve been in their homes I’d begun to realize that my 30+ year old kitchen could use a refresh. So this year I’ve purchased new pots and pans as well as several new tools.

I’ve really enjoyed using the Caraway wooden utensil set so much more than I thought I would. Actually I was a little hesitant to order wooden utensils. But I wanted to weed out my plastic ones, and I was intrigued. Well, I will never go back to anything else. These have a smooth polished feel and the weight is perfect. Such a joy to use.
Caraway Baking Set
Of course we did a lot of baking over the holidays. In the past I would have had to apologize for how bad my bakeware looked. But it was pure pleasure pulling out my Caraway baking pieces to bake cookies, biscuits, muffins and more.

I chose the cream colored baking set, but of course these pieces come in other colors, too. I’m amazed at how easy they are to clean up. It turns out things really have improved in the 38 years since I got my original kitchen supplies. Ha! It feels so nice to have a refresh in my kitchen.
Caraway Non-Stick Ceramic Coated Mini Duo
I didn’t include my Caraway 12-piece ceramic cookware set in my December favorites list because I think I mentioned them last month or the one before. But recently I added the ceramic coated mini duo to my collection and I’m so glad I did. I probably use these pieces more than any of the others.

These pieces are just the right size for scrambling or boiling eggs, cooking oatmeal or warming up soup. And one of the things I love most about all of my Caraway cookware, bakeware and storage pieces is that they come with their own storage system. They actually fit into my cabinets much better than my old sets did.
Cosyland Toddler Standing Tower
We’ll call this a Mimi favorite. My granddaughter uses a Cosyland toddler standing tower at home so she can stand with her mommy at the kitchen counter. Since they were going to be with us for over a week I decided to order one to have on hand for their visits.

My granddaughter, who just turned two, loves being a helper. She helped me bake cookies, helped her mommy make a salad and helped my husband brew countless pots of French press coffee. I’m so glad we invested in this toddler tower. It was a major game changer for our holiday experience. And I’m sure she’ll be using it for at least a couple more years since it is adjustable.
That’s Pretty Clever Dice Game
I want to share one more thing that made our holiday really fun. My son and daughter-in-law frequently play a round of That’s Pretty Clever over coffee in the mornings. And they brought this quick-play dice game to share with the family last week.

Since then my daughter and son-in-law have ordered their own game. It’s fun to hone your skills at this easy-to-learn little game. And it makes a great travel game, too. My family is full of serious board game players, but we all loved the ease and fast pace of this dice game.
Frank & Eileen Multicolor small red plaid Eileen shirt
Finally I do want to share a few fashions I’ve especially enjoyed in December. And I’m sure I’ll be wearing this Eileen multicolor small red plaid flannel shirt well into February. I’ve worn it several times recently because it’s just so easy and comfortable to pair with sweatpants, ponte pants, cords or jeans.

I didn’t realize that Frank & Eileen flannel shirts come in different thickness, but this is one of their lighter ones, which I appreciate. It doesn’t feel bulky, but light and comfortable. It fits true to size; I’m wearing a medium.
Tuckernuck Sweater Dress & Ralph Lauren Belt
I wore this beautiful, warm green Tuckernuck sweater dress for a holiday date with my husband, and I’m wearing it again this weekend when we go away for our anniversary. I did size up to a large, but I might could have gone with my usual medium for a slightly more fitted silhouette. But since I gather it with this beautiful (and heavy!) Ralph Lauren belt it works really nicely.

I just love a sweater dress for winter, but I’ve gotten to where I don’t want one that is too fitted. So this works really nicely for me. It pairs beautifully with boots.
Thanks so much for dropping in. Let me know if you purchased any of the top sellers and what you think about them. I’d love to hear from you today.

Blessed for My Day
As much as we might like the idea of starting anew on January first, it’s not a given that anything is really new when we change calendars. But many of us do like to turn over a new leaf when we begin a new year. The only way things will change or improve, however, is if we do something differently. We have to set goals, establish plans and put systems into place in order to create new habits that lead to new results. Otherwise everything stays the same or, at least, on the same trajectory.
That said, if you are in Christ, then you are a new person. Because the Holy Spirit lives within you, you have the capacity to do more than you think and you have the power to affect changes that you might not be able to accomplish otherwise. This year let’s covenant to live in the awareness of what Christ has done for us. And let’s walk in the power of the Holy Spirit as we reach for the goals God places on our hearts.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17
I enjoyed this post and I especially love your felt garland and the red sweater from Talbot’s!
What a great post
Love the red Talbot coat – what size did your order
Also Happy Anniversary to you both (I’m the follower who also has an anniversary today)
Also can’t believe how big your granddaughter has gotten!
Thank you, Jayne. Same to you! 🥂 I got the coat in my usual medium. My granddaughter has grown up so fast. But her parents are quite tall, so it’s to be expected that she’s in the 99th % for height. 😉 She’s definitely going to be tall.
I play a lot of board games with my grandchildren, and I see that the dice game comes in a kids version, too. We will need to try this one! Thanks for sharing your favorites.
Yes! It’s fun and very easy to pick up quickly.
Thank you for another interesting post. I love to see what has resonated with your readers and what some of your favourite things are. Happy anniversary and also wishing you a happy and healthy 2026.
