April 30, 2026

April is coming to a close, so let’s check out a few of our favorite things from the month. I’ve had my assistant Lucy run the numbers and she’s discovered what you ladies have been clicking through here at Dressed for My Day as you’ve been building your spring wardrobes and preparing for vacations. These are fun buys! So I’m spilling the tea and sharing the most purchased items, the top blog posts and video, as well as a few of my favorite things from April, 2026.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.

Let’s build the excitement as we discover the top sellers at Dressed for My Day. We’ll go from the 12th most popular item to the number one best seller for the month of April.

A Few of Your Favorite Things

When you shop through my links I do potentially earn a small commission. That’s how I pay the bills here at Dressed for My Day and at home. As much as I love hanging with you ladies and enjoy getting to serve you, at the end of the day this indeed is a business. It’s a fulltime + job for me, and my husband and two assistants also put in a lot of hours here each week as well. So I am beyond grateful for your support, as you shop my links, read my posts and watch my videos. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Ribbed Scoop Neck Tee

tee // see original blog post for outfit details

This ribbed scoop neck tee works beautifully with so many things, from activewear to work or church outfits. I’ve worn it with these Athleta activewear pants, but also with my linen ankle pants and blazer, as shown in this blog post. It’s a generous fit true to size and also comes in navy. Right now at Talbots get 40% off one item and 30% off the rest of your order.

Leather Perforated Belt – Cognac

belt // see original blog post for outfit details

It’s so in style to add a belt to your outfit right now. And I love this cognac leather perforated belt because you can adjust it to fit differently for various outfits. For instance it works nicely for jeans, but also thinner, high rise pants like I’m wearing above. And I can also wear it with dresses, looping in the excess belt like I did in that photo. The belt fits true to size and is currently 50% off. Oh, and it also comes in black.

Slubby Cotton Linen V-Neck Sweater

sweater // see original blog post for outfit details

This beautiful 76% cotton, 24% linen pullover is the perfect spring and summer sweater. The loose weave is on style and aesthetically interesting, but the fabric is what makes it perfection. It’s breathable and super soft. And the sweater also comes in a lovely straw color, which I assume is a soft yellow. Let me know if you ordered that color and what it looks like. Right now at Talbots get 40% off one item and 30% off the rest of your order.

Lauren Ralph Lauren Woven Straw Large Tasha Tote Bag

straw tote

I love the elevated casual vibe of this Lauren Ralph Lauren Kyla straw tote. It’s an unstructured bag, so it adds a relaxed vibe to more structured spring and summer outfits. But it does have a convenient and very functional internal zip pocket. And the magnetic snaps keeps items a little more secure. This very packable bag will double beautifully as a beach bag on your sunny vacation. These are selling out fast!

The Cooling 7″ Slip Shorts

cooling shorts

Yay! Hopefully everyone has their Thigh Society cooling shorts ready to go for the spring and summer. They’re a seasonal must-have for me. Not only do they keep me feeling dry, cool and fresh, ahem, but they do indeed prevent any thigh chafing as you wear your favorite dresses and skirts. These are NOT shapewear, by the way. But they do smooth and keep you from having panty lines and the bulges that sometimes accompany them when wearing more fitted skirts and dresses. I suggest having at least half a dozen on the ready if you favor skirts and dresses in the warmer months.

Linen Roll Sleeve Blazer

blazer

This linen roll sleeve blazer is such a sweet find for spring and summer. Whether you wear it now over a tee or tank or you carry it along later for those over airconditioned restaurants and stores, this easy breezy jacket will elevate your look more than a cardigan. But you’ll still look casual and relaxed. It runs true to size and it’s half price today.

Skyline Chore Jacket

jacket // see original blog post for outfit details

This Athleta chore jacket is 40% off in white, but selling out fast. With its denim-like structure and athletic stretch, this 52% recycled polyester/34% cotton/14% Spandex jacket has become a fast personal favorite. I love the slightly cropped length, the structured fit and that amazing fabric – so polished looking, but so easy to move in. It’s perfect for travel or everyday. And it does come in other colors and a wide range of sizes.

Melrose Crossbody Leather Bag

bag // blazer // tee // jeans // loafers

I’m taking this sand Melrose leather crossbody on my 10-day trip to England next month. Where are you taking yours? I actually carried this bag this week quite a bit. I wanted to be familiar with the interior and exterior pockets so I know how I want to use it as I travel and tour. It comes in A LOT of great colors. I tested out so many crossbodies for this trip, and this one won the contest handily. Check out my YouTube shorts video below…

Two Palms High-Rise Linen Easy Pants

pants // see original blog post for outfit details

These Tommy Bahama linen pants are perfect if you prefer an easy-breezy casual vibe. They feature an elasticized waistband with a drawstring – very on trend! The leg is full, but not overly wide. And the length is nice. Remember, I’m 5’8″. They do have pockets and come in other colors. I’m wearing them in coastline.

Slub Knit Blazer

blazer

Funny thing, the photo above of me wearing this number 3 top seller is from last year. In fact, this slub cotton blazer was my number one top seller of the whole year, if I’m not mistaken. Chico’s was smart and brought it back again this year in this white and several other nice colors. It’s another great topper for those airconditioned spaces. And it will elevate your outfit rather than distracting from it. The jacket is 50% off today and you get FREE shipping.

Linen Bayside Isle Wrap Dress

dress and here for 70% off but in limited sizes // sandals // tote

Our number two top seller is this gorgeous, easy-breezy linen wrap dress from Tommy Bahama. I think you ladies bought it out at Tommy Bahama actually. But it’s still available in most sizes here. And if you wear a size large or extra large, you can get it here for 70% off. What?!? It’s lined in cotton and just exquisite. I find it to fit true to size; I’m wearing a medium.

Sanctuary Women’s Rebel Straight Leg Crop Pants

I think this is the second month these Sanctuary Rebel straight leg crop pants have made our list. Now that’s it’s warmed up a little, I’ve really enjoyed wearing mine. You can see from how they fit on me (at 5’8″) that they’re not really cropped in the sense that most of us think of that term. They’re more of an ankle pant or even full length from some women, I’m sure.

But the 97% cotton, 3% Spandex is lightweight and crisp but soft. I think these pants strike that perfect balance between polished and sporty, classic and current. You can use code KAY15 for 15% off at Sanctuary. I sized up to a 31, but they may have fit true to size. I tend to have to pull mine up a little bit as the day goes on.

Top 3 Blog Posts of the Month

Let’s take a quick look at the top blog posts of the month. So if you’ve missed anything during April, you’ll be able to prioritize the three you should check out.

No. 3 – Everyday Spring Outfits to Wear Now

If you’ve worn your spring wardrobe for a while, you may be ready to get a little more inspiration. This popular blog post shared the simple formulas for 14 spring outfits.

This spring I have enjoyed my wardrobe more than ever before. I think that’s because I’ve finally learned that spring – at least here in Ohio – is not a warm season. The weather fluctuates wildly and the best spring wardrobe is one that accommodates for those not so subtle shifts. Yesterday we were in the 70s and today we’re not getting out of the 50s. But I’m prepared. Check out this popular blog post for outfit ideas that help you navigate spring beautifully.

No. 2 – Packing for London & the Cotswolds in May

I’m so glad I shared this early packing list for my upcoming trip to London and the Cotswolds. I leave next Sunday, Mother’s Day, and I’ll be packing for the trip this weekend. But I shared this carry-on bag only packing blog post early so that I could field suggestions and comments about my proposed capsule. I specifically asked for input from women who either live in the UK (I have a LOT of followers who do) or who have visited there during this season. And boy, did you ever weigh in!

Packing for London and the Cotswolds in May 2026

Thank you! I have been making adjustments and I think I’ve about nailed down a workable wardrobe that will help me feel like myself, look a little stylish, but also be comfortable (and warm and dry!) for the activities we have planned on our Discover Walkabout tour of London and the Cotswolds. Watch for an updated packing post a week from Monday!

No. 1 – 9 Modern Ways to Wear White Jeans this Spring

To say that 9 Modern Ways to Wear White Jeans this Spring was popular would be a gross understatement. This post blew up in my analytics! It turns out white jeans is a very popular search topic.

I do hear from some women that they don’t see anyone wearing white jeans around them. Interesting. But don’t let what “you see” be the determining factor for you. Trust me, white jeans are VERY on trend for spring and summer 2026. It’s one of the hottest topics in fashion right now. I’m sure many young moms steer clear of them for obvious reasons. But as a mature woman over 50, now is the time to shine in your white or off white denim. Be sure to check out my most recent YouTube video, Look Modern in Your White Jeans, Not Outdated for more tips. But don’t forget to check out this most popular blog post, too!

Most Popular YouTube Video

Of course, I also have a YouTube channel. Hopefully you’re a subscriber there. If not, check it out. I feel like that’s where I best connect with my followers. This month the most popular video was Affordable Spring Outfits for Stylish Women Over 50.

Actually, I think this video is where a lot of our top sellers for the month were shared. It’s packed full of affordable options, and many of them are even more affordable now!

Kay’s Favorite Things

Finally, I’d like to share a few of my favorite things from April 2026. Honestly, I have so many favorites this month, so I won’t give the details on all of them. Instead, I’ll just give you a shopping widget where you can click through to learn more. But I do have a few notes before and after the widget.

I’ve been getting in some beautiful jewelry for spring and summer. These pieces will look especially pretty with warm weather outfits, but I’ve enjoyed showing them here and on my YouTube channel this month. My favorites are the Noonday pieces (see below and use code KAY10 for 10% off) and my new necklace from Lizzie Fortunato.

I’m also calling out my U Beauty skincare products because, while they sent me the first set, I have reordered more. I don’t do that very often, honestly, because I am gifted so much skincare. But the U Beauty duo has actually replaced my beloved Dior products, which I never thought I’d stop using. So I think that’s a pretty big endorsement. I even order these travel size products and this travel eye cream for my trip.

I’m still waffling between the Lauren Ralph Lauren hooded raincoat and the Barour reversible one for my trip. But I’ve already worn both and love them. I’ve definitely determined I’ll be taking the Merrell Wrapt sneakers for the hiking in the Cotswolds and I’m already enjoying them on daily walks. And I literally cannot wait to wear these Ralph Lauren pajamas on my trip. Oh! And I have to resist wearing this Eileen Fisher jacket and coordinating shorts every day right now. Feel like butter, look so flattering. I wear both in the size small.

Thanks for dropping in!

Blessed for My Day

Don’t let anyone minimize your faith. Sometimes well-meaning friends and family encourage us to let go of our hope because they do not want to see those hopes dashed and our spirits crushed. But if God has given you an assurance, do not turn away from it. Remember, “faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Your faith is not silly or unfounded.

However, when your faith begins to waver or others question it, do not try to rationalize your hopes with wishful thinking. Instead, remember that your faith is not in a particular promise or dream or answer to prayer. Your faith is in God Himself, His character, His track record, His Word. If we keep our faith anchored in the Word and character of God, we can know that it is secure.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. ~ Hebrews 11:1
