We’re keeping my son and daughter-in-law’s dog Cooper for a couple of weeks while they are in Japan. So we invited him to join me for today’s photos. He’s a miniature Australian shepherd, and we absolutely love having him around.

These wide crop jeans run true to size and have a nice amount of stretch but definitely feel like real jeans. I do prefer a slightly higher rise, but if you enjoy a mid rise these may be right up your alley. The jeans do come in misses, petite, plus and plus petite sizes.

I topped the cropped jeans with a cotton & linen blend V-neck sweater. It also comes in what appears to be a very pale yellow they call straw. It fits true to size for a slightly over-sized fit. I’m wearing my usual medium. It only comes in misses sizes, but they have XXsmall to XXlarge.

Next I’m wearing a fun pair of print cropped pants from Talbots. These heritage paisley pants come in misses, petite and plus sizes, and they fit true to size for a slightly roomy fit. I’m wearing my usual 10.

I’ll be sharing a blog post soon with more details about how to wear print pants, but here I’ve paired them with a Frank & Eileen denim shirt from my closet and ivory Tory Burch loafers (similar).

That was a freebie! Ha! But below I’m wearing a pretty casual dress from Talbots. This coral extended shoulder fit and flare dress is constructed in a cotton and Lyocell blend, and it has a 100% cotton lining.

The dress fits true to size for a very loose, comfortable fit. It is available in misses, petite and plus sizes. I’ve gathered more of my Talbots favorite new arrivals in the shopping boutique below. Just click on a picture to go straight to the Talbots website and shop.

Do you pray for your loved ones? Of course you do. But if you’re like me, you may find that occasionally you get in a rut of praying small prayers for them rather than asking big things of God. I’d like to remind us today to pray bigger for our people. As mothers and grandmothers and wives, we have such power to do mighty business for our people in the throne room of God. Let’s come before Him boldly, through Jesus Christ, to petition Him on behalf of our children, grandchildren and husbands.
For what should we pray? Let’s trust that the Lord is already watching over them and granting safety and provision as He sees fit. And let’s focus our prayers on their hearts and minds instead. Ephesians 1 gives us insight into how to prayer more boldly for our loved ones. Join me today in praying that they be enlightened so that they can know the hope of God’s calling, the fullness of the riches they inherit through Christ Jesus and the surpassing greatness of God’s power in their lives.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. ~ Ephesians 1:18-19a

I am wondering if you would be able to help recommend a wedding dress for myself. I am 64 and my long time common law spouse has recently proposed. This would be a first wedding for both of us. I am looking for a dress on the simple but classic side as there would be no large ceremony, only a gathering minimal family/friends – or we may just elope, not yet sure. I wouldn’t mind some sort of hair accessory or veil also. I am only 5’2, red hair, very fair skinned. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the prayer reminder. I love it!
Love the BFMD. I pray always for my husband, kids and grands but I loved how you tell us to pray bolder. Your grand dog is so pretty. I love a white sweater and light wash jeans. I just told myself I’m going to wear this combo tomorrow.
I like all the outfits you are wearing. I think print pants can make a nice change but sometimes find they are tricky to style so your upcoming blog will be very welcome. It was nice to see Cooper and he looks so sweet. He’s on vacation too. Enjoy having him.
