Happy Friday, dear gal! I hope your week was a good one and that you have something lovely planned for the weekend. If everything has gone as planned, we are waking up in Columbus this morning after a good visit with my son and daughter-in-law. We’ll be making our way home today, but I’m hoping we do a little more exploring on our way.
I know I’ve posted a lot of linen this week, but these are the photos I had left in the can. That’s another thing we’re hopefully doing today…taking photos! So anyhow, I’m pleased to share with you this lovely, relaxed linen outfit. It’s one of my favorites.
Now I know linen isn’t every woman’s jam. I get that. But these darling marigold linen pants make me oh so happy. They’re comfortable, modern and cheerfully bright! They’re also not available, evidently anywhere other than Dillard’s, which is, indeed, where I got them.
The pants and top are also quite pricey. I got them when they were almost half off, but they’re back to regular price now. However, Macy’s has many similar Eileen Fisher pieces marked down considerably right now. They’re definitely worth checking out.
This organic linen short sleeve shirt is also full price now. But it is amazingly soft and fun to wear. Honestly, I apologize for having to show you this outfit at full price. I love this organic linen, but I probably wouldn’t pay full price for it. But maybe you can get a little style inspiration here!
Now these flip flops are a decent buy. They’re available through Zappos for 25% off, and they’re very comfortable and proving quite versatile. They fit true to size.
I suggest you also check out the Eileen Fisher linen offerings at Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue, where they have some great deals right now. I think these pants are the same, but in a different color. And this sweet linen dress comes in this pretty marigold color as well as another pretty hue. They’re both marked down.
Thanks so much for stopping in for some style inspiration today. I do hope you have a lovely weekend. Be sure to check in tomorrow for a special shopping post. We’ll be talking about some pretty significant changes in the upcoming Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Blessed for My Day
Did you know that the Bible compares us human beings to sheep…almost all the way from beginning to end? Yep. Dumb sheep. Face it, sheep need a shepherd. They have no means of defending themselves and they’re not the smartest animal. And yes, we really are like sheep in so many ways.
But the Lord is a good shepherd to us. He provides everything we need for the abundant life He has called us to. We simply need to rest in His provisions. Because we have a Good Shepherd we don’t not have to be frantic or worried or anxious. Instead, we can rest from our struggles and trust our Provider. Let’s choose to follow and trust our Shepherd today.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. ~ Psalm 23:1
