Hi friends. I’m getting a little R&R this week on the coast of Oregon. I can’t wait to share more about my trip with you. But today I thought I’d tell you about some wonderful bath and body products that I’ve been using. I even have a coupon code created just for my readers at the end of the post. But first, let me introduce you to B2B or Back to Basics Naturals.
Two factors have greatly contributed to me becoming more concerned about my choices of bath and body products in recent years. First, I live in the desert. Literally. Yes, it’s high desert, so heat is not so much a factor. But the high altitude coupled with the arid climate means one thing: dry, dry and more dry. I am constantly fighting dry skin.
Secondly, I got older. Well, we’re all getting older. But, honestly, I got old. Somewhere between 45 and 50 things began to change drastically in my body. Hair, skin, nails all changed…along with the other culprits like metabolism, muscle mass, eyesight and even my teeth. Girls, if you’re not old yet…just you wait.
Better yet, don’t wait. Though I live with few regrets, I do sorta wish I’d paid a little more attention to things like my skin a littler earlier. (Instead of slathering on baby oil and lying out in the sun when I was a teenager, for instance!)
That’s why I’m so excited about introducing you to this line of bath and body products. No, they’re not a cure all. But B2B products have made a significant difference in my skin.
In full disclosure, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Daphne and Trey, created and own B2B. So yeah, they’re family. But B2B is not just a side business for them. It was created out of necessity and desperation. You see Daphne, too, experienced some changes in her skin. After her second child was born she developed some allergies and needed to find products that were non-allergenic, natural and safe for her sensitive skin.
Have you ever experienced changes in your skin? Either from a move to a new climate, simple aging or a hormonal shift, like Daphne? It’s the strangest thing, huh? But those changes truly heighten your awareness of what you’re putting on your skin…on a daily basis and multiple times each day.
James began using B2B products well over a year ago, and he told me that his skin was not drying out like it used to. So I began using the Castile Liquid Soap & Body Wash. I love the lemongrass rosemary scent. It’s very light, not annoying. And it’s fresh and invigorating. The liquid soap doesn’t lather quite as fully as some other bath gels I’ve used, but I’m assuming that’s because it doesn’t contain some of the drying synthetic ingredients that those gels contain. And the lather is certainly sufficient for me to tell that I’m bathing. Oh, and a little bit of the stuff goes a long ways. I use one of B2B’s natural sponges with the liquid soap, and that combination makes for a very soothing and luxurious bath.
I’ve discovered, though, that B2B’s handmade soap bars are so truly luxurious, that I really like using them as much as I do the liquid soap. All of their soaps are handmade from 100% natural ingredients. They’re made in small batches and cured for over a month, creating a hard, long-lasting bar of soap.
I wondered why using these soaps resulted in less dry skin. I found out that the natural glycerin that is formed in the soap making process is retained in the soap. That natural glycerin produces a moisturizing, premium bath and body bar with a lotion-in-soap effect. So on the rare occasions when I’ve forgotten to put lotion on after my bath, my skin has not dried out, become scaly or itched like it did in the past. That’s a win for me.
A few years ago our son Daniel got his dad into using a shaving bar and brush to lather up for his shaves. So when James discovered that his sister and her husband had created a shaving soap, he ordered one. He told me again just this morning what a smooth, silky shave this bar creates. He’s tried several brands of shaving bars, as well as just supermarket brand soaps, but he says the B2B shaving soap provides by far the smoothest glide.
B2B produces a full line of bath, body and skin care products, including shampoo bars, bar soaps, liquid soaps, hand soaps, deodorants, body lotions, body butters, facial cleansers, a shaving bar, bath bombs and lip balms. They also produce laundry detergents, dryer balls and dog shampoo.
If you’re interested in taking care of your skin and hair with more wholesome products that are also naturally moisturizing and free of harsh chemicals and allergens, browse through B2B’s website. I can tell you that the family – and it is a family business – that makes, packages and sells these products are just the sweetest folks you’ll ever meet. They have built their business with integrity, too. That means a lot to me.

Blessed for My Day
Today if you have been washed clean from your sins, may you relish the freedom and joy that comes with that cleanliness. Oh my. Do you realize that so many around us are living with the weight of guilt and the stains of regret? Let’s be sure to share the cleansing power of the blood of Christ with those we know and love. And let’s remember to thank the Lord for what He has accomplished on our behalf through the cross. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about…and you feel the stains of your past mistakes still sticking to you, please let me know. I’d love to share with you the cleansing power of the grace of God. Bless you, dear one.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ~ 1 John 1:9
