I also love that this collection is built around the trending neutral, deep, chocolate brown. We’re going to be seeing a lot of this color for a while, and Chico’s has created some lovely linen pieces in this deep hue, calling it espresso.
The linen stretch layering tank in espresso is such a versatile piece. It’s lightweight and has a nice drape. You can wear it tucked or untucked, depending on your proportions and preferences. It runs true to size to slightly roomy. I’m wearing a size 1 or 8M. The linen button front tunic cardigan coordinates perfectly and runs true to size.
I’m wearing the white boyfriend ankle jeans. These do run large for a very roomy fit. I’m wearing my usual size 1 (8M), but they are quite roomy on me. I have to say, they sure are comfortable, though. I think I could safely size down, however. I especially love the white boyfriend ankle jeans paired with my white linen stretch layering tank for a column of white below.
Of course, the linen blend stripe maxi shirt is a really sophisticated option for a topper. But it’s also very comfortable and so easy. I don’t think you would want to wear this as a dress because of the high side slits. But you can wear it as a topper or a singular top. I just love these linen wide leg pants in espresso cross dye. They do run a little large, but I probably would not size down in them. They feature a flat front, elasticized pull-on waist, so they’re super comfortable and easy to wear. I’m 5’8″ and I can wear a 1-2″ heel with them comfortably. Or I could have them hemmed to wear with flats.
I accessorized my espresso linen looks with simple but impactful statement jewelry. I’m wearing the Howlite and Wood bib necklace and the Howlite Hinge bracelet. These pieces are quite substantial and luxurious. But I think they will be nice to wear year round. I’m wearing the Tayla drop earrings, too.
Obviously all of these pieces mix and match beautifully. I didn’t take a photo of the white boyfriend ankle jeans with the white linen stretch layering tank and the espresso linen button front tunic cardigan, but that combination works really nicely, too, creating a column of white. Aren’t these such chic, summery pieces? I found other beautiful espresso brown pieces from Chico’s, too. And I’ve included them in the shopping widget below.

Predictable. We ladies don’t really like to be classified as predictable. Perhaps we don’t others to claim that our behavior or reactions are predictable. We want to be a little mysterious. Ha! But when it comes to our God, it is indeed good to know that He is always the same. We can count on Him to be the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
The difference between us and God is that we are hopefully always growing, maturing. becoming a better version of ourselves. But we can trust that God is wholly good. He is not evolving. Instead, His character is the goal we aspire to. Today let’s consider how God has interacted in our lives in the past. Let’s recount how He treated His people in the Bible. Let’s remember the prayers He has answered. And let’s know that we can trust that He will faithfully show up in the same way in our lives today and tomorrow. We can count on God. He is indeed predictable in the sense that He is faithful and steadfast, dependable.
For the word of the Lord is upright,
and all his work is done in faithfulness.
He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. ~ Psalm 33:4-5
Nice casual outfit, but have never shopped Chico’s. Looks nice on you. I like brown but do not wear it as much as black. Bought a couple
pieces of brown last fall. Loved the BFMD. We can always trust God. With all that is going on in the world, he is the only one that stays the same. Amen

I have a pair of wide-leg pants that match your long striped top exactly. Today is hot and humid so I will wear them. The tank tops are perfect for the wider linen pants and I really like your browns and grays. They are really chic because they don’t give a “pajama” vibe like the blues and pinks I see at stores.
