My Purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Woohoo! My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026 order has arrived. And I couldn’t wait to try it all on and share with you. So pour yourself something nice to drink and sit a spell with me while I show you my new fall finds from this year’s sale. My Purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

I’ve tried to share as many of my new purchases as possible in these outfits. But of course I’m still working with these when it comes to styling. So not everything is styled just perfectly yet. For your reference, I’m 5’8″ and about 160 pounds. I normally wear a misses size 10 or medium. I have even proportions and an hourglass shape. I’ll provide fit information as we go.

Finally, I’ve not cut tags off of most garments. So I’m not really sure right now what I’m keeping and what I’ll return. If you’d like to kindly weigh in on my decisions, I’d love to read your gentle thoughts in the comments section. But I can tell you that everything fits nicely. So really it’s just a matter of deciding if I like the way it looks and if it really fits into my wardrobe plans.

I actually purchased this Vince duo in the store, but neglected to take photos of it. These were surprise favorites. I’d seen them on the website, but didn’t think the kick-flare crop pants would work on me. Yay! They do. And these on-trend pants feel amazing on. I did size up to a large in the pants and sweater. I like the outfit with these Open Edit mules in brown oak, but I also ordered the Vince Oasis sneakers in midnight loden green and plan to wear those with this outfit for a more casual option.

Above I’m wearing the Vince mid rise crop pants with another top option, the poplin shirt. This time I needed to size down to a small for a good fit. This shirt runs very large. I’ve completed the outfit with tan suede mules from Steve Madden. These are priced nicely under $100 for the sale.

I loathe taking back view photos, but I’ve got them in this blog post. Lol! Of course it is important to check out the back view, especially of pants. I think these look okay. I’m never a fan of my rearview. But the pants are thick enough that they don’t reveal lumps, bumps and bulges.

I was really looking forward to this Vince raincoat, figuring it would be a very polished option for foul weather. But it’s definitely lighter weight than I had expected.

Of course it’s wrinkled from shipping and needs to be steamed. But I’m not sure it’s especially flattering or even all that special. It does fit true to size; I’m wearing a medium.

I honestly hadn’t anticipated ordering this Veronica Beard tweed dickey jacket. But I decided to give it a whirl in the fitting room and was pleasantly surprised.

Yes, I love my Veronica Beard jackets, but this one just didn’t wow me…at first. Now I’m sold. I think it will be very versatile and the fit is beautiful, TTS.

I’m also wearing the Paige Anessa jeans above. These will definitely sell out, if they haven’t already. But watch for sizes to start coming back in. You can always click through this link to get to them and check for sizes.

Honestly, if you really want these “miracle jeans” that look good on everyone, I’d check for them several times a day. In my book they are definitely worth it. Here I’m wearing the 31, but I have ordered a 30 to try also. So yeah, I’ll get my return in fast!

Unfortunately the Paige pointelle stitch cotton & silk sweater above is sold out, but we could see returns. It was one of the sweetest surprises from my in-store try-on session. And below I have a rear view that shows the back of those Paige Anessa jeans a little better.

Okay, let’s move on to the Mother the Kick It high waist straight leg jeans. As I type this up, these jeans are sold out, but I do expect returns to come in. I had never tried them, but fell in love immediately.

These are another cult favorite for a reason. They fit slim in the torso and then fall straight through the leg, truly the perfect modern straight leg jean. I’m wearing the jeans here with the Reiss cashmere turtleneck sweater, a sweet sweater that fits true to size. It’s almost sold out in this cream, but there’s more availability in a beautiful grey.

Here’s a rearview look at those Mother the Kick It jeans. I’d love for the pockets to be just a little closer together, but overall I’m pleased. Of course I do have to wear these full length jeans with a bit of a heel. Here I’m wearing one of the two pairs of Dolce Vita heeled mules I picked up in the sale. They fit beautifully true to size and will be such a nice option for full length jeans in the fall.

Above I’m wearing the Mother jeans with a Nordstrom short sleeve cashmere sweater and my new Tory Burch heeled loafers, another nice option for those longer jeans. These on trend shoes show good availability in this beautiful brown suede and the black, which features a gold insignia (mine is silver).

I’m also wearing the Sam Edelman raincoat in a pretty brown plaid. It runs true to size and also comes in a cheerful mustard yellow, perfect for spring, summer and fall. I’m carrying the Vince woven leather medium hobo, which seems more “large” than “medium” to me. But I love the on trend texture and the look of this bag, so I’ll probably keep it.

And my final look with the Mother jeans is a Nordstrom cashmere v-neck cardigan in blue subdued, a pretty, soft shade. I’ve shown the sweater buttoned up as a pullover, but I can wear it unbuttoned over a tee, too. It fits true to size and comes in other colors.

Above I’ve switched to the Rag & Bone Harlow, a mid rise straight leg jean. Indeed it is a little short in the waist for my liking. But otherwise, the jean feels really good and I think the look is nice.

With 99% cotton and only 1% Elastane, it’s also a fairly low-stretch jean. But it just feels right all the same. And it looks pretty good from the rear, too, if I do say so. LOL! I hate these rear view photos! If I keep this one it will have to be to wear with sweaters like this.

We’re shifting gears to Eileen Fisher now. I had high hopes for the stretch organic cotton jacket above, but I’m undecided now. But before you make up your mind on this one I do need to let you know that after taking the photos I discovered that the back vent on the jacket was stitched closed and I had neglected to snip it open. So I think that may make a big difference in how this jacket works. It should look a little fuller, and I think that little snip will take care of it.

That said, I’ve decided I definitely don’t care for the Eileen Fisher high waist slim fit jeans…for me. They fit me like a skinny jean, which I’m just not willing to return to. I’m wearing my true size medium in these by the way, whereas I usually size down to a small in Eileen Fisher.

So I switched into the Paige Stevie high waist straight leg jeans to see how I liked the black and white woven jacket with those. These are another great modern straight leg jean. They fit well in the torso and fall straight in the legs, gently grazing the legs, but not hugging them. I sized up in these to a 31.

Since I didn’t feel like I’d given the Eileen Fisher cotton blend button-up shirt a fair shake, I slipped it back on with the Paige Stevie jeans. This shirt runs large, on par with most Eileen Fisher, so I sized down to a small for a good fit. I love the texture and the cropped length. The sleeves are quite long, so I rolled them up a bit, which I often do anyhow.

And above I have a photo with a rear view of the Paige Stevie jeans. I’m pleased.

Below I’m showing the Paige Stevie black jeans again with the Vince cable stitch wool blend cardigan. This is a lightweight, but substantial cable knit cardigan with a cropped length that works beautifully just below the waistband. It comes in this soft grey and a twilight navy. The sweater fits true to size; I’m wearing a medium comfortably.

Next I tried on the Paige Stevies with the Nordstrom crop suede jacket. This boxy, cropped length jacket turned out to be one of those hidden gems in the sale, but it didn’t surprise me. The Nordstrom brand is often on par with much higher priced labels. This jacket is lined and has beautiful buttons down the front and on the sleeves. It runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium comfortably.

I also like how the suede jacket looks buttoned up and worn alone as a top. And I think I’ll like it even better with a black turtleneck underneath.

While we’re looking at the suede jacket, let’s see the next pair of jeans I got. These are old favorites in a new wash. The Frame le Sleek high waist straight leg jean is a true high rise at 11″. It has a lot of stretch with 4% Elastane, but it holds its shape well with wear.

The Frame le Sleek also comes in a full range of sizes and PETITES. I have had a couple of pairs of these and I always enjoy wearing them, especially in the fall and spring. Below I have that required rear view.

I’m wearing the Frame le Sleek here with a brown short sleeve cashmere sweater from Nordstrom. It’s the same one I wore with the plaid raincoat above, but I wanted you to see it without a jacket. The sweater runs true to size and comes in quite a few nice colors and neutrals.

And check out those fun mules! These were a favorite find from my in-store shopping day. This Open Edit mule comes in four colors/fabrications and fits really nicely true to size. I find that it stays on my foot well when I walk, and the heel height is just right. This tiger print is very on trend for fall and will add interest to basic outfits like this one.

Now let’s shift our attention to the Nordstrom wide leg trousers I picked up in the sale. They are just gorgeous. And with an elasticized waistband in the back only, they look chic and feel comfortable, the perfect combination.

Above I’m wearing the trousers with the Veronica Beard jacket and an AllSaints Stevie tee. I’m carrying the Veronica Beard suede shoulder bag, but it is sold out. However, this Reiss bag looks similar and is probably an excellent bag.

Above I am wearing the navy trousers with a Rag & Bone knit blazer. Unfortunately it is sold out, too. Honestly, I don’t enjoy showing clothes that are sold out. But I know for sure that sizes will come back in, so I don’t want to skip over these. If you’re just really interested, keep checking in on them. Under the jacket I’m wearing my first ever Nordstrom cotton blend crewneck tee. I am so impressed with this smooth, close-fitting t-shirt. It’s not tight, but I did size up to a large. The tee also comes in blue, pink mauve, black and white.

Above is the best rear view photo I have of the Nordstrom trousers. They really are nice. And while they’re regularly $129, they’re just $85.99 in the sale. I think these are one of the best finds I purchased.
