The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale preview is live now and the first wave of Nordstrom cardholders will begin shopping Tuesday, August 4th. So I’ll be posting all of my favs in a variety of categories as the sale fast approaches.
Let’s take a look at my beauty favorites in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. By the way, you can shop all of the beauty exclusives in the sale here.
#1 – Kiehl’s 1851 Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
I have a thing for rich, thick hand creams and salves. Maybe it’s because I’m 56! Ha! Not only will this Hand Salve be a perfect cream to keep by my kitchen sink, but at this price it will be a great birthday gift for a girlfriend, too. In fact, I may stock up!
#2 – Electric Feels Beauty Blender Set
If you’ve been around Dressed for My Day very long and read any of my beauty posts, you know how much I love my Beauty Blender. I get mine to lasts about 8-9 months with regular washing with the beauty blender cleanser bar included in this Set. But it’s about time I had a new one. So I will definitely be adding the Electric Feels Beauty Blender Set to my Wish List. I’ll probably get one for another someone who has a birthday coming up, too. Or it could make a sweet stocking stuffer.
#3 – Kiehl’s Jumbo Creme de Corps Bottle with Pump
This is a really sweet buy for this Kiehl’s Jumbo Creme. I love the rich moisturizing ingredients in the all-over body lotion. And I appreciate the jumbo size of the container. I’m buying one for myself and one for a particular someone in my life who has a birthday coming up.
#4 – Pure Silk Caramel Queen Pillowcase Duo
I love my silk pillowcases, so I can highly recommend this Pure Silk Caramel Queen Pillowcase Duo. And since this is a set of two, you’ll save yourself the grief of your husband being jealous. Ha! My husband still teases me about having one for myself, but not giving him one. A silk pillowcase is a treat for your hair and your skin.
#5 – Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
With all the clothes changes I have to do during photo sessions, I started using the Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray to keep my makeup from getting onto my clothing. But it also helps my makeup look and feel fresher all day long. I love the soft scent of this Makeup Setting Spray, too.
#6 – St. Tropez Jumbo Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse
I’ve been wearing the St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse this summer and really liking it. I find it goes on more evenly than the lotions I’ve worn in the past. You can see the color as you apply it, so that helps you put it on more evenly. I need more, so this is a good time to buy a couple.
#7 – RIKI Skinny Lighted Pocket Mirror
I’m not positive I’ll be purchasing a RIKI Skinny Lighted Pocket Mirror this season, but I know I’d like to. If you’re in the market for a good makeup mirror, I keep hearing great things about this one. I love the magnifying and phone-clip attachments so you can do detailed looks or take selfies and videos, which, of course, I’d like to be able to do for the blog.
#8 – L’occitane Almond Shower Duo Set
I keep hearing raves about this L’occitane Almond Shower Duo Set and I’m eager to give it a try because I love, love, love almond scented beauty products. I hear it’s especially great for shaving, but also cleansing, especially during the dry, winter months.
#9 – Lancome Définicils Lengthening and Defining Mascara Set
You get not one, but two tubes of mascara in this Lancome Définicils Lengthening and Defining Mascara Set. Plus, you get my favorite lash conditioner. This set is a big win! This Lancome Définicils Lengthening and Defining Mascara Set is on my must-have list, not my wish list. This is my all-time favorite mascara.
By the way, while we’re talking favorites, I thought I’d share my honest assessment of a cult favorite that I’m not so hot on. Last year, I followed the hype and bought the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Secrets Set. But, y’all. I just didn’t like it. I found the lipstick to be drying, the gloss to run out quickly and the pencil to be underwhelming. I’d love to hear your assessment of this product if you’ve tried it.

The only thing on your list that I have used and absolutely love is the Kiehl’s hand salve.
I have a couple of the products you list here. I like the almond shower gel. I tried the Charlotte Tillbury Pillow Talk lipstick last year and returned it. I agree, it’s very drying and annoying. I feel it’s overpriced for a lip color that isn’t the best quality. I also don’t know what all they hype is about.
I, too, bought the CT Pillow Talk lipstick set last anniversary sale. I was disappointed in it because the lip pencil was too creamy and the lipstick was dry, so I returned it. I did like the gloss, though, but I didn’t think it was a good value. I normally wear Chanel’s Precision Lip Definer (Le Crayon Levres), followed by Chanel’s Hydrating Colour Shine (Rouge Coco Shine).
