The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview is online and now is the time to fill your wish list with elevated basics that will make your fall wardrobe pop with style. Remember, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is not an end-of-season or clearance sale. The items they feature in this annual sale are mostly fall and winter new arrivals. So it’s fun to peruse the #NSale Preview even if you don’t plan to shop it. But I’ve spent hours and hours scouring the Preview and today I’m sharing my initial picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024 Preview.

I’ve shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for years, and I definitely use this sale to begin building my fall and winter wardrobes with the new “it” colors and styles. So I’ve learned some really BIG secrets for shopping the sale smart, and I want to share those with you. Today I’m calling out the my initial picks in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026 Preview. These ARE NOT all items I have in my personal wish list. Instead, I’ve looked at the sale with you in mind, too. These are items I’m personally excited to check out but would also suggest a friend look at. So pretend we are sitting together on my sofa with a cold drink and thumbing through the pages of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026 Preview catalog.
Favorite Jackets in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026 Preview
Perhaps my favorite thing to look for in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great jacket. In the past I’ve purchased beautiful leather jackets, blazers, utility jackets and athleisure style jackets in the sale. I’ve watched the styles and trends change significantly over the 10+ years that I’ve shopped the sale, and this year I’ve definitely noticed fewer blazers and more, surprisingly, even more barn jackets. Yes, it appears that this fun, relaxed style jacket is still quite the trend for 2026.
I’ve got my eye on that Barbour cotton jacket above. It comes in the beige as well as dusky green and grey, and the tartan plaid interior, corduroy collar, zip front closure and tab fasten back pleat are details that make this jacket a real outfit maker. In the sale it’s $199.99, but afterwards the price goes up to $320. For a Barbour jacket, that’s significant savings. You’ll see more of my favorites in the shopping widget below. Tops & Shirts Initial Picks
I like to pick up a few good quality t-shirts in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale if they’re available. I highly recommend the All Saints Stevie cotton short sleeve t-shirts as well as their long sleeve tee. I know the models make those tees look like they’re terribly cropped. But in fact, they are not.
I like to pick up the Frank & Eileen shirt in the sale if it’s a good one…and this one is. But, coming in at a much lower price, the Ralph Lauren shirt above looks like a nice option as well. And I think the Eileen Fisher textured organic-cotton blend shirt in that lovely wine shade (also in black) looks interesting and chic. My Annual Beauty Purchases
Each year I purchase several beauty exclusives that they faithfully bring back annually. I do think a couple of my “faithfuls” didn’t make it this year, but below you’ll see the beauty exclusives that are already in my wish list. These are such great deals!
These are all products I’ve been using for years and love. The jumbo size Elemis Resurfacing Facial Wash will last me all year as my shower morning face wash. The Necessaire Body Wash two-pack is also very concentrated and they last several months. This is my absolutely favorite body wash. The Lancome Definicils Mascara is my do or die mascara, and this is a great opportunity to stock up. And the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm feels like a spa in a jar. I use it nightly to cleanse my face, and I actually look forward to this skincare ritual. This cleansing balm is in a very large size and is $85. But after the sale it’s $126.
Women’s Shoes Initial Picks
I usually pick up a pair of running shoes as well as several other pairs of footwear in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so I scout out the women’s shoes early. This year I believe this is one of the stronger categories in the sale, with beautiful buys in sneakers, flats, heels and more.
I’m intrigued to see several sleek, heeled mule options. I think they’re so nice with the current trends in jeans and trousers. And those snake print Veronica Beard pumps have stolen my heart!
Jewelry Initial Picks
A few years ago I purchased a beautiful piece of fine jewelry in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I find myself desiring to put more of my wardrobe budget here instead of in clothing these days. And the #NSale always has so many beautiful options of fine, semi fine and fashion jewelry. And I’d already put a watch on my “watch for” list, so I’m strongly considering this gold mesh strap watch. You’ll find lovely options at every price point in the sale.
Jewelry trends to watch for include semi precious stones, rope necklaces with pendants, pearls, stacked bracelets, earrings in bold geometric shapes and hammered metals.
Handbags & Luggage
This is another strong category in this year’s sale. I’m glad to see Tory Burch back in the sale this year; I’m pretty sure they sat the last year or two out. And we also see strong contributions from Reiss, Vince, Veronica Beard and Dolce Vita. But one of my favorite bags in the sale is from The Sak. In fact, they have a number of great bags in the sale this year.
I’m pleased to see that Away Travel is back in the sale with their luggage again this year. I love my Away luggage and highly recommend it for lightweight luggage that stands up to lots of travel. If you like to travel carry-on only, I suggest the Away Bigger Flex Carry-On Luggage.
Boots & Booties
I immediately noticed that several of my favorite boots from last year’s sale are back this year, some in new colors. In fact, the first three booties in the graphic below are all in my closet, and I highly recommend them.
Boot trends to look for include suede, western vibes, low sleek heels, squared off pointy toes and shades of brown. Yes, I’m still seeing quite an amazing amount of brown in the sale, so I assume it’s here to stay for yet a third fall and winter.
Beauty Exclusives
Finally let’s talk beauty exclusives. I think this is always one of the stronger categories in the sale. I’ve pulled out a few of my favorites to share, besides those annual purchases I mentioned above. You’ll find skincare and hair tools of the highest grade. And several beauty brands will have sale days on which their products will be reduced up to 25%.
I have and regularly use the DermaFlash Dermaplaning set above, as well as the BKBeauty makeup brush set. I also use the U Beauty skincare set, and the three-piece set above is a good one to try out.

You are so right about how well the ALLSAINTS Stevie tee shirts fit. Based on your advice for last year’s Anniversary Sale, I bought 2 of them. They have been my favorite tees and I’ll buy at least one more this year They are not at all short like what you see on the models.
