Happy Saturday! If you’re shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this weekend or prepping your wishlist for when you get to shop, I’m so glad you’ve dropped in. I’m sharing my favorites under $50 in the NSale, and I mean these are true faves. These are either products I already own and use or things I ordered and am so pleased with.
All Nordstrom cardholders are eligible to shop the Anniversary Sale now. Non-cardholders will be able to start shopping the sale Wednesday, August 19th, at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time. While some products have sold out, there are still plenty of great buys available. And already I’ve been receiving notices of items becoming available again that once were marked sold out. So definitely look for products to be replenished as the sale continues.
My Favorite Fashion Finds Under $50
Let’s check out my favorite fashion finds under $50! I specifically chose items that I think give you the most bang for your buck. Even if you’re spending less than $50 you want to get a good quality, versatile garment that will work well in your wardrobe.
Socialite Crewneck T-Shirt // I love the drape on this simple t-shirt. It feels luxurious and thick, but not so thick as to be hot. Also, I like the coloration in this particular leopard print. It’s rich and dense. I think it runs a little large. I have the medium, but I’ve ordered a small to see if the fit is better.
Gibson Notch Collar Cotton Blend Blazer // Okay, I did not order this blazer, nor do I own one. But I have tried them on and I can attest that this is a great casual blazer. It was originally available in a plethora of colors, but most have sold out in many sizes. However, I expect colors to be restocked as returns come in. Plus Gibson has been carrying this same blazer for at least a couple of years, so I expect they could replenish when non-cardholders begin to shop.
Cece Puff Sleeve Crepe Top // I also have not received this top yet, even though it was one of the very first things I ordered. But I do have high hopes for it. I think it will look great for those of you who have video conference calls or who are actually working in an office now.
1.State lace inset camisole // I did receive this simple camisole/tank top and it works beautifully. I think it will serve as a nice alternative to a spaghetti strap camisole for me. I can wear it under blazers or under sweater with low necks. I got my true-to-size medium in the black, but have ordered the white in small.
Halogen Kick Flare Ponte Knit Crop Pants // I tried on these ponte knit pants at Nordstrom on my shopping day and they were wonderful I had to order my size and they haven’t arrived yet. But I can tell you that they fit true to size.
Wit & Wisdom high waist crop skinny jeans (and other Wit & Wisdom Jeans) I’m just so impressed with the selection of Wit & Wisdom jeans in the sale this year. I’ve seen several influencers share theirs with equal pleasure. The one pair of mine that have arrived have fit true to size.
Vince Camuto Ponte Ankle Pants // I received these comfortable black pants too late to include in Thursday’s post, but they are a definite favorite. I shared about them in my Instagram Story and all of that is shared in my highlight reels, if you’re interested. But they fit true to size and are quite long. I’ll have to have them hemmed in order for them to actually be ankle pants (I’m 5’8″).
Vince Camuto Leopard Print V-Neck Blouse Sleeveless (also in 3/4 length sleeve) // I actually bought this pretty shell back in the spring and styled it in this post.
Caslon Drape Collar Knit Blazer // Below I’m wearing this smart relaxed fit cotton knit blazer in navy. It’s a medium. But I’ve ordered the burgundy beet red in a small. I think I might like the more fitted size if it works in the arms. I think this casual “blazer” is so smart for adding a little polish to a casual outfit.
Gibson Surplice Blouson Sleeve Wrap Top // Evidently I didn’t get a picture of this easy-wear faux wrap top either. But it also is in my Instagram Stories. It’s soft and great for a casual work environment.
Favorite Shoes, Jewelry & Beauty Under $50
I also found some great finds in other categories.
2 ct Cubic Zirconia Earrings // I purchased these pretty earrings for my daughter’s birthday. She had requested “diamond” earrings. I was surprised at the quality. I think she’ll enjoy wearing them.
Kendra Scott Ryder Hoop Earrings // Unfortunately the Argento Vivo Hoops I ordered are sold out. But I can recommend these chain link hoops just as heartily. I saw them at the store and I think they’re on trend and yet so versatile.
Steve Madden Forever Chain Pointed Toe Mule // I got these in the soft tan suede but they are sold out. However, several of the other patterns and colors are still in stock. I sized up .5 and they do stay on my feet well when I walk in them. You can see them in the photo above.
Steve Madden genuine calf hair flats // These shoes actually did not fit me. I ordered my true size, so maybe I should have gone .5 up again. Still, I see so many other women wear these and love them.
Beauty Blender set // You can’t beat the original Beauty Blender for finishing off your foundation application. So I think this set of two sponges and the cleanser is a sweet deal.
St. Tropez Jumbo Classic Tan Bronzing Mousse // I applied this mousse as soon as I got it in. I’d tried it earlier in the summer and liked it, but had run out. I apply it with a mitt and it goes on so nicely. Much easier to use than a cream and no odor.
Minnetonka Faux Fur Slippers // I’ve already purchased a different slipper for the fall and winter, but I tried these at the store and love them. Great Christmas gift or shoe for yourself.
Halogen Leopard Print Belt // Again, I didn’t really need this belt since I have two similar belts. But I checked it out at the store and it’s a nice find.
Madewell Delia Sidewalk Sneakers // I have the previous model of these sneakers and find them to be very comfortable. I love the black stripe on these and think they look very modern. Great with jeans, joggers or shorts.

Blessed for My Day
This morning when I came into my kitchen the sun was streaming in through the windows in such a way that it illuminated the room beautifully. But as I got close to my kitchen counter and turned on the coffee pot, I noticed that the sunlight also highlighted the messy surface. It was strewn with splatters and crumbs from the day before. If I don’t have my reading glasses on, I don’t always see the kitchen counter accurately, and I sometimes think it is clean when, in fact, it is not.
Much like the sunlight shining onto the messy surface of my kitchen counters, God’s Word illumines my thoughts, words and deeds accurately. When I avoid spending time in the Bible, reading it and meditating on it, I can assume that I’m doing pretty well. But when I spend time with God in His Word, it doesn’t take long for me to realize that many of my thoughts, words and actions are strewn with selfishness, pride, deceit and other ungodly motives.
It may not be fun to suddenly realize there is dirt and grime where we assumed all is well. But it didn’t take long for me to grab a few disinfecting wipes and clean off my countertops. Likewise, God is gracious and good to help us clean away the grime that covers our hearts if we first allow Him to expose it.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. ~ Psalm 119:105
