We certainly still have a lot of summer left to enjoy, but many of our favorite retailers are introducing early fall fashions. These are styles we can begin to slip into our wardrobe now and enjoy for several months to come. This week I’ve been rounding up my top early fall new arrivals from some of my favorites and yours. They’re also offering $50 off full-price dresses and shoes. I’ve always found Ann Taylor’s shoes to be beautiful quality, to fit well and to run true to size. And of course they have some beautiful dresses, both for dressy occasions and professional attire.
When I arrived home from my vacation to Michigan yesterday, I had these flare trouser pants (c/o) and this cafe au lait textured cardigan (c/o) waiting for me. Even though I know I put on a couple of pounds over vacation and didn’t really relish the idea of trying them on, I found that both pieces do fit true to size. The trousers have a beautiful drape and would work very nicely for work now and later. They’re a nice length for me as long as I wear a heel (I’m 5’8), but they do come in petites also. Unless you work in a chilly environment, I’d probably save the cafe au lait textured cardigan for later in September, but it feels and looks luxurious. Oh, and I got this pure chocolate Ann cardigan (c/o), too. This color is trending BIG now and into the fall and winter. It also fits true to size.

Thank you for all your practical tips and saving us time by showing us so much on your videos and blogs! I have questions about belts. I’m 5 foot two and have a hard time finding belts that are good quality. Actually it seems like the quality on many things is less than it used to be unless it’s very pricey. So I’m just wondering what do you recommend in colors and styles of belts?

So I went to my local AT today and checked it out. Bought the pure chocolate and another in the deep atlantic teal, because they only had one of my size left in each. Now I have to contemplate if I will actually get enough use out of them, so for now tags are staying on. Sweater weather where I live is only a few short months. But they are very nice cardigans, for sure.
Maybe you could do a blog or video on stylish, modern ways to wear a cardigan?! 🙂
