Is It Time for New Spring Sleepwear?

March 20, 2023

While I tend to wear my pajamas for multiple years, I do like to buy at least one new set of sleepwear each season. It’s just a nice way to bring in the new season. Plus, if you think about it, we wear our sleepwear A LOT. So replenishing it regularly is not an unwise investment. What do you think? Is it time for new spring sleepwear? #gifted

I love Soma’s Cool Nights sleepwear for staying pleasantly cool through the night while I sleep. Soma’s Cool Nights® fabric is made with lightweight rayon fibers that stay cool to the touch and keep the fabric from sticking to your body. It really does help me stay cool through the night. And I like to purchase three of four pieces in the same collection to mix and match.

I like to have a Cool Nights cami to wear to bed. And I generally wear it under a button up top in the mornings and evenings. For this spring I chose the lace trim cami in Galapagos blue to pair with the dancing flamingos blue button up top.

Sale Alert: Today only Soma is offering $5 panties when you order 10 (select full price styles only) and Buy 2 for $69 Sleepwear (select styles), including the ones I’m wearing. I noticed that my Vanishing Edge panties are Buy 3 and Get 2 Free, so I’ll ordering at least 5 pair of those today.

I prefer the cropped length pants for spring and summer, but they do also have Cool Nights pjs in the full length, like these in “drinks on me coral.” I generally also order the same pattern in the shorts (not pictured here). In fact, it’s not uncommon for me to switch into those right before going to bed and then to change back into the cropped pants upon rising.

I have worn my blue Acorn slippers for a couple of years at least. They launder beautifully in the washing machine and dryer. These comfortable terry cloth slippers with Memory Foam padding come in a wide range of colors, too.

I find the pajamas at Soma to run true to size; I’m wearing size Medium in everything. I also wear their Vanishing Edge panties, their bralettes, the Signature Lace Perfect Coverage bra and this wireless bra.

I’ve collected the items I’m wearing in today’s post as well as other selections from Soma in the shopping widget below. But behind every photo there are several additional style and color options.

Blessed for My Day

When you realize that you need something that you don’t currently have – a friend, patience with a friend you do have, wisdom to navigate a situation, financial resources, healing, courage, etc. – what do you do next? Do you tell someone else of your need? Do you consider ways to get what you need? Do you think back to how you handled that need in the past? Those are all good things to do when you realize you need something. But they’re not the first thing we should do.

The Bible teaches us over and over that the first course of action for a child of God is to turn to Him. He is our provider. That means He is committed to providing our needs, He always has the resources to meet our needs (and more), He is gracious to care for us generously and in a timely way, and He wants us to depend on Him alone for our needs. So the next time we come across something we think we need, let’s look to our Good Shepherd and trust that He will provide. He may lead us to do one of those other things, too. But let’s not get ahead of our Shepherd.

The Lord is my shepherd, I will not be in need. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For the sake of His name. ~ Psalm 23:1-3
