My Favorite Colleen Rothschild Skincare
Let me quickly share with you what I use and why I love each of these products.
I love the silky smooth texture of the Radiant Cleansing Balm, which I use each evening after removing my eye makeup with the Micellar Cleansing Water (not shown). It cleanses my face gently, without stripping it of the moisture I desperately need to retain at my age. It leaves my face feeling clean and fresh, but not dry. A little goes a long ways, too.
Just a small amount of the Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Eye Serum helps minimize the wrinkles around my eyes. The formulation of retinol and vitamin C helps to revitalize the delicate skin in this area.
I use this silky serum every evening after cleansing my face, using the metal applicator at the end to gently massage it into the delicate skin under my eye and along my brown bone. No need to get too close to your eyes, as the formula will absorb into the skin and spread through the area.
I do use the Colleen Rothschild Extreme Recovery Cream (not shown here) most nights, but a couple of times each week, especially in the winter, I actually apply and leave on the Intense Hydrating Mask shown below.
You can, of course, use the Intense Hydrating Mask as just that, a mask that you apply, leave on for 15 minutes and then tissue off. But you can also leave it on throughout the night for intense hydration. I think this is a game-changer, especially in the winter when the heat tends to kick on frequently through the night. I awaken the next morning with my skin feeling hydrated, plumped and fresh.
After I apply either the Extreme Recovery Cream or the Intense Hydrating Mask in the evenings and the product has set a bit, I always follow up with the Colleen Rothschild Face Oil No. 9. This silky face oil is perhaps my absolute favorite CR product and I never skip this essential step in my evening skincare regimen.
The formula improves the skin’s moisture barrier for enhanced cellular function and hydration, so applying this over my other skincare helps lock it in so that it can do the work I’m paying for it to do.
I’ve noticed more of a significant change for the better in my skin since using Face Oil No. 9 than I have with the addition of any other product. I shared more about the benefits of using a face oil in this previous blog post. It’s a must-read if you haven’t heard this information before. Bottom line, we all should be using a face oil, not just those of us with dry skin.
Currently I’m not using Colleen Rothschild skincare in the morning because I’m using skincare that works well with my Dior foundation. Did you know that you should use a serum and moisturizer that is formulated similarly to your foundation for the best results? I didn’t either until yesterday! But it turns out that if your foundation is, for instance, water-based but your moisturizer is paraben-based (as the Colleen Rothschild Extreme Recovery Cream is, then your foundation may pill or not go on smoothly. That said, if you do use a paraben-based foundation, such as Estee Lauder Double-Wear, Armani Beauty Luminous Silk or Guerlain Terracotta La Teint Healthy Glow, you’ll do really well with Extreme Recovery Cream.
Colleen Rothschild Haircare
But I do use and love the Colleen Rothschild haircare products. They leave my hair feeling silky soft and healthy, full of body and shiny. I do suggest trying out the products with the Quench & Shine Travel Hair Essentials set because I do get very different results with these products than I do with others.
But if you’re ready to order full-size products, my two favorite must-haves are the Protect & Perfect Styling Cream and the Smooth & Shine Hair Serum. I apply the cream after my hair has towel dried to protect it and help shape my hair as I style it with heating devices. Then, after my hair is styled, I apply a very small amount of the hair serum to give my hair a shiny luster. I also apply it on subsequent days after styling to banish frizz, tame flyaways and quench dry ends.

Do you know someone – maybe a grown child, dear friend or spouse – who you think could use a little wisdom? Maybe you even feel like you need to sit them down and give them a talking to. Ha! But something in you has kept you from lecturing them thus far.

I am often interested in trying face products like these but am already using products my dermatologist has recommended. Don’t know if they would interfere with each other or might actually be too much & cause new problems with my skin. Thoughts?
