Happy Friday! Yesterday morning I read that Evereve has marked down all of their dresses 20% for just a few days. So I scurried over to the nearest Evereve to do an Evereve try-on session for YOU! Oh. My. Goodness. I found so many great dresses for spring and summer. Let’s see what I tried on.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.
Keep in mind that these are photos taken with my cell phone in a fitting room with poor lighting. My hair is probably askew and I’m not wearing the right shoes or accessories with most of the garments. So focus on the garment and not the styling…or me! For fit reference, I’m 5’8″, weigh about 160 and usually wear a misses 10 or waist size 30. I have an hourglass shape and even proportions. I’ll try to share fit information on each piece, but in case I forget, you can assume the garment or shoe fits true to size. If you need to size up or down, I’ll definitely say so. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments and I’ll try to respond as quickly as possible.
20% off Dresses at Evereve through 4/12/2025
I did not purchase any of the dresses simply because I don’t need even one more in my closet. Ha! But oh my. I had to hold myself back. And I’m still so tempted to order this Ella midi shirt dress. It’s simple, but it’s one of my favorites of the bunch.

This 100% woven cotton dress is super comfortable and soft. It fits true to size. That said, the dress JUST fit me in the chest and I do not have a large bust at all. There are a number of comments on the website about this, too. So if you are large in the bust, I’d size up or pass on this dress. It does not have a belt, but you could add most any one in your closet. They show it on the website with this belt.
QUICK NOTE: Many of the dresses I tried on were lined, at least in the skirt. I’m not sure about the one above. But I do remember that I didn’t feel the need to add a slip to any of the dresses. I was quite impressed with the number of lined dresses.

The Avery Dress above would be a fun one for vacation or just a warm summer day. It does feature a high slit. I think the dress is really more flattering than it appears in these photos. I know some of my poses look a little silly, but it’s always a struggle to take a photo that shows the features and fit.

The Layton Maxi Shirt Dress is another personal favorite. If you have an event or occasion for a long, silky, colorful dress, grab this one. The 100% polyester dress is comfortable and you can cinch the waist with the tie belt. I didn’t have mine cinched very much here. With some strappy heels and pretty jewelry, this dress would be nice for a wedding or other festive event.

For me at 5’8″ the Isla Dress would be strictly casual. But if you are shorter and you wear it with prettier sandals than mine, it could definitely be dressed up. The 100% organic cotton woven dress feels cool and flirty. It just comes in two sizes, but it has a generous fit. Really fun dress.

I’ve been admiring the Frances Frill Dress online for a while. It’s even prettier in person. The print is unusual and fresh. I think it has a very pretty silhouette and the Modal woven fabric is cool and lightweight.

– wearing a medium
The Kingsley Knit Dress is one that I came very close to purchasing. In fact, I still may order this one. This cobalt blue 100% cotton slub jersey knit dress also comes in lime green and limited sizes in a black and white stripe. I think if they had the stripe in my size I would definitely get it. They didn’t have a large or I might would have tried it. That said, I don’t think you want this dress too roomy. It should fit. And the medium did feel comfortable. It has a panel under the arms that keeps your bra from showing. I like that feature.

– wearing a medium
The Emersyn T-Shirt Dress is 100% pima cotton. So it’s a little thicker than the other t-shirt dress above. It does feel really good on, and it fits nicely true to size. It has one breast pocket and small slits at the bottom for ease of movement.

– wearing a medium/large
The Angel Dress above is not a silhouette I normally wear. But this baby doll dress is very comfortable and fun. It’s 100% organic cotton and only comes in two sizes. Again they are generous. I’m wearing the medium/large.

The Emersyn T-Shirt Dress above fits true to size and is 100% pima cotton jersey. It’s a nice option for just everyday life. I especially like that it’s black and white.

– wearing a medium
Here’s another dress that is not my personal style, but I know I have readers who would look great in this flirty Albany Dress. It’s constructed in 55% Linen, 45% EcoVero Woven fabric and features a drawstring waistline. This would be a great vacation dress for a warm climate.

– wearing a medium
The Alma Denim Midi Dress is a really pretty silhouette, fitted at the waist and and lean elsewhere. It looks like it just fits me in the chest, so again if you are larger in the bosom, I’d size up or pass. The 93% BCI Cotton, 7% Pineapple Fiber Denim fabric is substantial, so I would not wear this in Florida or other warm climates.

– wearing size medium
I think the Lenox Stripe Dress above would be a great choice for a beach vacation. But it’s one you could wear for brunch or a date night during the summer, too. It fits true to size, but it’s not especially roomy. That said, looking at the website photo of this 84% Viscose, 16% Linen dress, I think it fits me the way it’s supposed to.

– wearing a medium
Evidently the Perry Tie Waist Shirt Dress above is a popular one. I heard several women in Evereve talking about this dress, that they own it in this white or the black. It did look so much prettier on than it did on the hanger. It would be a good dress for work, church or so many other events and occasions. It has an elasticized waist in the back and the tie is attached.

– wearing a medium
The Dwight Tank Dress above was another personal favorite. This Varley dress would be so snazzy and fun for vacation or date night. The 100% cotton knit is soft and light on the skin. The weave is tight enough to be modest, but I did decide that I would probably wear a black bra underneath. I’m wearing a nude toned bra, but I felt like I could see it in a distracting way. But maybe it was just the lighting. Again, excuse my silly poses. Ha! I was just trying to make sure you could see the dress in the best light possible. I would definitely wear minimal shapewear with this one.
What I Purchased at Evereve
Like I said, I didn’t purchase a dress, even though I can highly recommend any of the ones I showed above. I just didn’t need any of them. But I did come home with a few tops and pants, and I’ll show these in a future blog post styled.

The linen cropped wide leg pants are a fun pant. I’m wearing a 30, which is my true waist size, and it’s a comfortable fit. I love the button front and the pockets. The pants come in other colors, too. The navy and white v-neck tank comes in other stripes and solids. It fits true to size and features a panel under the arms to keep your bra from showing at all. I’ll be able to wear a regular bra with this one.

I also came home with the Kut from the Kloth Meg railroad jeans above. They run really large. I was surprised to see that the jeans the sales lady brought me were a six, but they fit just right. I think these will be such a fun alternative to the regular blue or white jeans. They have an 11″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam, which are the perfect numbers for me. Again, I think these look so much better than the photos show. And that Cloth & Stone textured bow tank top is just dreamy. I bought it, too, but I did not come home with the cardigan. On the website this Z Supply 100% cotton knit cardigan looks light and breezy, but it is actually quite substantial and maybe a little oversized.

I tried on the seas the day tank at the suggestion of the sales associate. I do think the print is cute, but I don’t love it here. I felt like it was pretty cute in the fitting room however, so maybe it’s just the photo I don’t love. I didn’t purchase it, but I did like it. I also did not buy the Sperry sandals above and below, but they are darling. I love the nautical vibe. They also come in white. I didn’t walk in them much, so I can’t really vouch for how they walk, but they felt good.

Finally, I did get the red sweater tank above. It fits true to size and is constructed in 100% cotton. It’s also available in a pretty white. I will need to wear a razor back bra with this one.
I filled to shopping widgets below with the items above plus a few other favorite picks that weren’t available in the store.

Blessed for My Day
Do you have many things on your to-do list today? Whether they are tasks you dread, chores that simply must be done or delightful opportunities, don’t let any of them crowd out the most important thing. What’s that? Spending quality time with the Lord.
It is only human and normal for many things to fill our calendars, daily schedules and our minds. But Jesus reminded Martha, that only one thing is really necessary, and that is to spend time listening to Him. I encourage you to take a few minutes to read some Scripture and share your heart with the Lord in prayer. Then pause for a few more minutes to listen for His still small voice, too.
But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” ~ Luke 10:41-42

Great post! I enjoy your try ons and the helpful fit information
Generally I don’t prefer dresses, but I liked almost all of these. So pretty.
My favorites are the Lenox and the Avery. Probably because I enjoy wearing neutrals.
Those T-shirt dresses are really cute
Great post! I love the denim midi dress!
Would love to know the brand of the sandals you are wearing. They look like a comfy but cute choice for a day of shopping.
Yes! I bought then two years ago, but I found them here https://rstyle.me/+uk77N54Iy-i79zbyNmd4FQ and here https://rstyle.me/+h20rjU_O4sYXqm7aWFV9_w
I have the white cardigan I bought in store a few weeks ago, but haven’t worn it yet. Maybe Easter.
Great post! I really enjoy it when you try on clothes in a store. It’s nice to see how things look on a real person.
I find I’m surprised at the popularity of dresses this season. There is such a wide variety of styles that if youre a dress person there will be a something that is just right.
I just love the cardigan with the Cloth and Stone bow front top! So pretty! I’m always on the lookout for more elevated tops to level up my casual wardrobe.
Your try-on posts are so helpful. The Perry Tie Waist Shirt Dress is singing my song!
Thanks for showing dresses to fit my petite frame. There are many for me to choose from.
Kay,
I would like to know what sandals you are wearing!!!! So cute. I also like some of the dresses on you!

Hi Kay,
Loved most of the dresses you showed today, but I’m inquiring about your sandals.. Can you tell me more about them? Are they still available to purchase? I love them!

For us chesty gals and shirtdresses, if I really love the dress, I will wear it with the top buttons undone and have a pretty tank or cami underneath. So all you DD+ ladies, don’t give up on overall fit because of the “girls”.
I don’t have many occasions to wear dresses – the ones you tried on are all very pretty. I really like those light denim Kut from the Kloth – those are a great choice.
I agree time with the Lord is most important. Daily Bible reading is very important to me. Very nice dresses. I like the tank top too.
You looked well in everything I especially liked the last red sweater.
These are beautiful dresses! I wear more dresses to work when the temperatures rise. Thank you for sharing these!
Very beautiful dresses! And yet another line of clothing I hadn’t heard of before! Thank you. My sister in law and I joke to each other, “Are you being a Mary or a Martha?” It’s a good reminder to think about the Lord above all.
Spending time with The Lord is very important. Thank you for your reminder to take time to listen for His reply.
Thank you for showing the dresses. The colors and patterns a very pretty this spring. Thanks again.
Beautiful dresses! I hardly ever wear a dress, but I’m starting to reconsider…and I love the sandals you are wearing! I really like the idea of the underarm panel in some of the sleeveless tops and dresses – so many times it is hard to find a sleeveless top that “works” because of a too-deep armhole. And I did not know there was such a thing as pineapple fiber being used in clothing – you really do learn something new every day! And yes, important to remember the “pearl of great price” above all else.
I always enjoy reading your blog. So many fun dresses! I am keeping my eyes out for a spring denim dress. Have a lovely weekend!
Thanks Kay for trying on all the clothes for us. Really pretty dresses. I also love your personal comments. You make us feel like we could go shopping with you
I enjoyed your post, Kay. Such pretty dresses. I especially like the Frances Frill dress and the Avery dress. I like wearing dresses during the warmer weather.
My favorite was the Isla dress. It looked so comfortable. Also your hair style was super cute.
I am seeing so much pattern-florals in the fabrics right now. Also a bit of flowy-boho emphasis. This all makes it a little more fun & casual to me. I have been struggling finding a more polished dress in my moderate budget for my daughter’s graduation.
