Hi gals! Guess what? They’re back!!! If you’ve been around for at least a few months, you know that I posted oh so many outfits with these casual utility slim pants from Chico’s this spring and summer. But, as I promised, these are easily three season pants. So today I’m sharing a fun embroidered tee with my favorite camel utility pants.

Fun Novelty Tee and Camel Utility Pants

I, like most style bloggers, do enjoy sharing new findings with my readers. However, I also love sharing new ways to style pieces that are already in my closet and, perhaps, yours. In fact, I know that many of my readers purchased these casual utility slim pants this summer. And I promised you gals that I’d be styling them for fall, too.

These pants fit true to size. I wear a Chico’s 1 or a regular misses 8 in them. They also come in opal white and sage green. As of right now, they’re still available in all misses and petite sizes. It turns out Chico’s never put these utility pants in their stores this spring and summer. So it was up to me to sell them. Ha! And I did. (According to my analytics, it looks like at least 70 or more of my readers purchased these utility pants!)

Fun Novelty Tee and Camel Utility Pants

I decided to keep this look very fun and casual. This little embroidered French lady tee just makes me so happy. And see how the camel colored sack she’s carrying ties into the camel pants so very nicely?

French Lady Tee

By the way, I sized down to a small in the embroidered French lady tee and it’s still plenty roomy. The 60% Cotton, 40% Modal tee features a curved hemline and gently rolled cuffs. It’s very soft and comfortable. Oh, and that sweet little poodle is furry!

sneakers

I’ll continue to wear my Tory Burch sneakers through the fall. I’m pretty impressed with how white they look. I wear them constantly! They’re so comfortable and classic. But I also have these Madewell sneakers and like them, too. Of course, you could wear other flats with this outfit. But I liked the white leather sneakers picking up the white stripe in the tee.

I also liked the way my blue and white enamel bangles, also from Talbots, work with this tee. Just goes to show you don’t have to put away your summer jewelry quite yet. My classic gold hoops are also a Talbots favorite.

Talbots is offering 25% off full-price items (including the tee and the bangles) through September 7. But stay alert for flash sales, too. I know they’ve already had a couple in recent days where they pair that offer with a $50 off of your $200 purchase. And they had one where they gave an extra 20% off certain items. I try to alert my Facebook followers of these flash sales, so follow my Dressed for My Day page.

with denim jacket

My Levi’s original trucker denim jacket is the perfect third piece for this fall outfit. My jacket is almost 30 years old, and it still looks as good as the day I bought it, except it has that lived-in patina. I wear a medium and my jacket is in the Sweet Jane wash. I love that it has big open pockets inside so I can carry my phone and reading glasses there instead of having to carry a bag.

If you’d like to see other ways I styled these same casual utility slim pants, check out this post and this one. Both of those looks are suitable for fall, too.

By the way, I know most of my readers are still wearing summer clothes for at least a few more weeks, maybe much longer. I get it. I moved to Ohio last year from Arizona, and lived most of my life in the south. But, like your favorite fashion magazines, my goal here is to help you prepare for the days ahead. So prepare to see more fun fall looks coming your way!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post. I’ll be restarting my Saturday Inner Beauty posts tomorrow after having taken a hiatus for summer. I’ll also be sharing Labor Day Weekend sales tomorrow. So check in here if you plan to do any shopping. Have a great weekend!

Blessed for My Day

Before the COVID-19 pandemic shut so many things down, I used to do a lot of speaking. I’ve done women’s retreats throughout the country and even in other countries. And I’ve taught Bible studies for about 28 years. I’ve spoken to small crowds and large auditoriums packed with women. Believe it or not, I actually feel more comfortable in front of an audience than I do striking up a conversation one-on-one (although I’ve gotten much more comfortable with that in recent years).

But regardless of my experience and the time I always put into my messages, I never feel quite prepared as I step up on the platform. I know that my words will definitely fall flat if God is not in them. So over the years I’ve taken to praying, “Lord take my water and turn it into wine.” I know that He alone can give my simple messages the power to satisfy thirsty women. And I know that only He can give any eternal value to what happens as I stand on that stage or in front of that classroom.

God can also turn your water into wine. Whatever He asks of you today, offer it back to Him and request that He “fill it” with His supernatural power. He can give eternal significance to your service, your words and your offering today.

Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. ~ John 2:7-8

Spread the love

  1. I liked this pant so much, I finally bought all 3 colors! I can’t stress enough how soft and comfortable they are. Thank you so much for taking the lead in selling these!

  2. I love these pants so much I bought them in two colours! Once with your first post, once with your second. I am going to hold back this time. I plan to wear them year around! Being in the North I am already experiencing fall weather so I am enjoying your transition. Love the outfit but I am wondering about your opinion on patterns like the embroidery on this one for large breasted people. It is cute but I worry that the embroidery would bump out funny and further emphasize my assets.

  3. Great outfit, Kay! I bought the pants in the caramel and olive green. Living down in south central Georgia, I will be able to wear them at least for nine out of the twelve months. Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter!

  4. Happy birthday to your beautiful daughter, Kay! Enjoy your time with your family! Great outfit, love the top! I also love your prayer, “Lord, take my water and turn it into wine.” Have a blessed weekend!

  5. Kay, I love those pants for fall/ winter but in NM it’s still 100 degrees today so I’m in shorts. I used to have a little white poodle so am very fond of that shirt and I also have a jean jacket I’ve had forever. Love that gorgeous flower display behind you!! How do you like Ohio? Don’t the winters kill you after Arizona??

  6. When will we see you in this top with black pants, red beret, blue shoes walking a poodle. I just noticed the girl on the tee is wearing the same tee. LOL
I wish this was in pink or coral. I am loaded down with everything blue. It’s a great piece to have though. The pants are a perfect year round for me.
