Blessed for My Day
One of the things I am most grateful for this Thanksgiving is that my future is secure. No, I don’t mean my bank account. We do try to be responsible with our finances, but there’s only so much you can do to prepare fiscally for the days ahead. My security does not lie in my savings account, my attempts to be healthy, our government nor the stability of my family.
My hope for the future is secure because I have awaiting me “a kingdom which cannot be shaken.” I’m not just secure in my life here on earth either. I have a secured eternity with the living God. As we pause to thank our God for His blessings this Thanksgiving, let’s start by thanking Him for our security in Him. Jesus paid it all; all to Him I owe.
Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let’s show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe… ~ Hebrews 12:28
