We love to remind ourselves that God works all things together for good. Indeed, that is true, but with two conditions. First, God promises to work all things together for good in the lives of those who love Him. In other words, He watches out for His children. He is a loving Father and He always has our best interests at heart.
Secondly, the Scripture says that God works this way in the lives of “those who are called according to His purpose.” This phrase reiterates that God is partial to His own. But it also quantifies the kind of good God brings about in our lives, sometimes through difficult situations. The “good” Romans 8:28 talks of is Christlikeness. The purpose to which God calls us is to glorify Him. So through thick and thin God will work in our lives to help us become more like Christ and reflect more of God’s glory.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. ~ Romans 8:28

From your blessed for my day. I often think on this topic. This topic of God working good as I think of Paul from the Bible who gets thrown in jail, beaten, shipped wrecked, house arrested, stoned, and he keeps sharing about Jesus. If that happened to me I would have difficulty thinking God is working good in my life. So how to rectify that, and I wonder if the good is our spiritual growth and God’s good. His will can be different than mine. His goal of a situation can be different. And yet through out my life no matter if I think it’s good He is good. He is my Savior, my Rock, my Father, Creator…. And so many more attributes.

Another comment I would like to address – that being “Talbots is size inclusive”. I agree if you are Misses, Petite or Plus. In my opinion, Talbots have very limited options for Tall customers. I am 5’11’. Talbots new spring lines are great, but I would love to have more size options, especially in pant length.
I looked several times yesterday for your post and now know why there wasn’t one. You the gals were working on the Spring style boards and working on it all day yesterday you all worked too hard. I am sure it is stellar. Can hardly wait to check it out I read the shoe post first and enjoyed it, there are several pairs that I really like in the line, and I am sure they are more comfortable than some of the cute shoes I have bought through J Crew or other clothes lines that do not deal with just shoes, I enjoyed the BFMD. Now to the Spring boards. I am excited!

Why can’t I wear sling backs and slides? They flop flop on my heel. Wrong size, style or just me?
I’m not sure. I used to have trouble with slingbacks, but don’t anymore. So maybe they’ve improved…or my foot changed?? Slides I find you have to try them and see. Some work and others don’t. Just today I’m returning a pair to Nordstrom that didn’t even come close to staying on my feet. But these do. So my advice there is to try, try, try…if you want to.
Those of us with narrow feet will have double the trouble finding slides and slings that we don’t just walk out of. I find that if the shoe has a 1 1/2 to 2″ heel it will more likely stay on, but not always. As Kay says, try, try, try! Easy Spirit usually has shoes in narrow width but most of the styles featured in this blog do not or, are already sold out. Sad.
