I know you’ve got other things to do this weekend besides read this blog post, so I’ll run through my favorites real quick and then share a shopping widget with other products I’m going to give a spin.
Micellar Cleansing Water
I apply a few squirts of this Micellar Cleansing Water to a cotton pad to remove my makeup each evening. But I love that while it removes my cosmetics beautifully without a lot of tug or pull, it also nourishes my skin and conditions my lashes while leaving eyes, lips and face clean and revitalized.

Radiant Cleansing Balm

I take a small amount of the Radiant Cleansing Balm from the jar, rub it between my hands to “heat it up” a bit and then gently massage it into my face and neck to cleanse away the makeup and grime of the day. It feels so refreshing; I actually look forward to cleaning my face each day! Then I carefully remove the silky product from my skin with a warm, damp muslin cleaning cloth, again, wiping in upward strokes.

Glycolic Acid Peel Pads with Blue Agave
The Glycolic Acid Peel Pads work as a chemical exfoliant, formulated to help dissolve skin-clogging dirt, debris and sebum. You can use them daily, but I find that the glycolic acid is a little much for my skin on a daily basis. So I use the pads just two evenings per week after cleansing my face.
The pads are soaked in product and with 60 pads in a tub, I’m still on my first jar. You simply gently wipe your entire face, neck and décolleté with the peel pad, avoiding the sensitive skin around the eyes and mouth. Then I let that set a bit before proceeding to the next skincare step.
Extreme Recovery Cream
The Extreme Recovery Cream has become my night cream of choice. It can be used morning and/or night, but I reserve it for evening. The Extreme Recovery Cream is silky and spreads easily, absorbing quickly into my skin and leaving it feeling soft and moisturized.

Retinol Supreme Eye Serum
The Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Eye Serum is one of the products I mentioned in my video, My 10 Holy Grail Skincare Products. This silky, oily eye serum has significantly reduced the fine lines around my eyes. And it leaves my skin beautifully prepped for eye makeup and under eye concealer. It absorbs quickly and helps my eye makeup stay set beautifully all day, all the while working to moisturize, lift and firm the skin around my eyes.
I just apply the Retinol Supreme Eye Serum in the morning before applying my makeup, but you can also use it at night.
Face Oil No. 9
If you’ve been around Dressed for My Day long, you may already know of my love for Face Oil No. 9. In fact, I wrote a whole blog post about this soothing oil. And I do indeed believe it is the crucial skincare product that many women are missing and it’s costing them money.

Blessed for My Day
I’ve been reflecting lately on how I respond when different things happen to me. The truth is, our buttons get pushed every day, so to speak. Whether it’s a careless word spoken – or typed in an email or comment, a spiteful charge or just a thought that comes into our heads seemingly from nowhere, we get bumped and pushed around a little throughout the day. But then the ball is in our court. We can respond in like manner, make them pay, work ourselves into a fiery frenzy or spew off at someone else. Or…we can respond like Christ.
For the next week I’m going to help us consider a variety of situations that we sometimes react to rather than responding wisely. Then we can think on those things and consider our personal patterns and behaviors. Hopefully that will help us make some corrections if needed. Meanwhile, let’s ask the Lord to make us humble and teachable so that He can show us if there is any “hurtful way” in us and lead us in “the everlasting way.”
