Have you seen the movie Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris? Well, if not, purchase it right away! I thought about Lesley Manville’s character twirling in her Dior frock as I slipped into these two Teri Jon by Rickie Freeman dresses for the first time. The craftmanship is exquisite and they literally fit like gloves, creating even more feminine shape than I naturally have.
This floral Teri Jon by Rickie Freeman midi shirtdress is created in a polished stretch cotton (97% cotton/3% Spandex) that gently hugs my torso while draping beautifully in the full skirt.
When you’re invited to a daytime soiree there’s no need to stick to your usual solids and safe prints. Instead, indulge in something extra feminine, seasonally colorful and strikingly beautiful. The floral prints on both of these dresses are just stunning. And the fabric of this shirtdress is thick enough to be opaque, but also silky soft and comfortable for even a warm summer day.
The midi length daytime occasion dress features a hidden zipper and hook closures in the back for easy on and off. And the green and white striped fabric belt is removable, so you can wear it with this belt, without a belt at all or with a different belt.
I used the size guide at Teri Jon to find my perfect size and it worked beautifully. For reference, I’m 5’8″ and weigh about 160 pounds. I have an hourglass shape and even proportions. In both dresses I’m wearing my usual size 10 for the perfect fit. But I highly recommend checking their easy-to-use size chart for the best sizing experience.
I created my two daytime occasion looks with elegant, but not fancy, accessories. I kept jewelry to a minimum, but tried to make impactful choices. For occasions such as a sorority mother-daughter tea, a country club luncheon, a bridal party luncheon (especially as the mother of the bride or groom) or a high end charity brunch, I’m wearing flesh toned strappy sandals and carrying my off-white wicker basket handbag.
