Even though it’s hot outside, we’re focusing on preparing for fall here at Dressed for My Day. I’ve noticed that turning a favorite summer outfit into an appropriate ensemble for an early fall day is often as simple as swapping in a pretty top that feels a little more autumnal. So today I’ve collected so many great pretty tops that are available now. Add just one, two or five of these pretty fall-ish tops to your wardrobe and you’ll have early fall outfits for days.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.

I’ve browsed our favorite retailers for early fall offerings and spotted some really pretty tops that can change the trajectory of your favorite outfits. Keep wearing those flax or black linen pants, but swap in a pretty jewel toned blouse for the tank top or gauze top you were wearing. Add a pretty print shirt in deeper colors to your denim skirt for another great option. Or wear your favorite ankle length jeans with one of these new pretty tops for a polished but casual look.

I collected my favorites from the list above. Some are VERY pricey. You could splurge or let them inspire you to search for similar options at better price points. Others are extremely reasonable. But most fall somewhere in between.

Below I have a shopping boutique filled with so many gorgeous options. I’ve ordered a few of these. I’m getting this short sleeve button-up camp shirt in olive moss green and swift seas blue. And this bold pink and navy geo print camp shirt should arrive tomorrow. I’m contemplating this autumn bloom print floral chiffon top. This floral silk button-up shirt is wooing me, but I think I use it as inspiration to look for something similar.

To shop or get more information, just click on the photo and you’ll go straight to the website.

Thanks so much for stopping in today. I hope you have a beautiful beginning to your week!

  1. What beautiful fall blouses you found Kay! Definitely need to pull out my winter clothing and see what all I still have from last year. Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. I had to laugh at your comment about the fall blouses you found……. you said “some are quite pricey”!
    That was an understatement!!
And perhaps you have already had it pointed out, but the blue blouse from JJill says it’s $299,331.00 when you scroll over the top of it! I just hate I couldn’t get it in two different colors!!😂😂 (Sidenote: that was a very helpful feature, by the way, of being able to see the retailer and the price just by scrolling over each one! Thanks for making life easy!!)

    1. It is a helpful feature except that it is SO frequently wrong. That’s why I rarely use it. But I’m glad you found it helpful today.

  3. I’m really inspired by these tops and so glad I sew. I’m already making a sand washed rayon camp shirt in moss green that will be very similar to the one you’re getting. Thanks for all the inspiration shirts for my fall sewing. Remember the floral fall top and skirt you got last year from Nordstrom that worked like a dress or separates, well I have fabric to make an outfit like that too! I’m excited to get going on my favorite time of year!

  4. Hey, Course we know there are others in the world going to church but it is extra nice to see someone online talking about going. Thanks.

  5. Kay I just got 6 old emails from you. Last week I got some too. It’s like your newsletter goes crazy once in a while. Lol. It’s happened before.

    1. Hi Terri. It’s not the newsletter, it’s WordPress. But my website developer has been working on it today. Hopefully it won’t happen again. I get them, too, by the way. So I know exactly what you’re talking about. I apologize for the inconvenience.

  6. I really enjoyed this post Kay. You chose to feature some lovely blouses and I was so happy to see some floral/print ones as I seem to gravitate towards those when shopping. I also like the understated ruffles – I bet you know where I fit in the Define Your Style series! (Such great information by the way.) I wonder if you might do a post about different ways to style floral tops and maybe denim shirts as well.
