November 29, 2021

Since the end of the month is upon us, I thought it would be a good day to share my November Favorites as well as the top sellers for the month here at Dressed for My Day. These are Our November 2021 Favorites! They’re the items I’m wearing, using and loving, as well as the items my readers and YouTube viewers are purchasing the most through my links.

Be sure to swing by my Cyber Week Sales Headquarters today, too. A lot of retailers have sweetened the deals today!

Our November 2021 Favorites

This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links.

Each month I like to look back and consider the products, fashions and, sometimes, services I used and especially loved that month. This helps me to stay on track in building my personal wardrobe and creating my signature style. You might want to do the same!

But I also like to share with you the top products sold here at Dressed for My Day. These are the things my readers and YouTube viewers are clicking through the most frequently and subsequently making purchases. Of course I learn a lot from these analytics, but I think you might find them interesting, too. Let’s get going!

My November 2021 Favorites

First up, my favorites. Just like last month, I could have named even more favorites that I’m sharing here. Now that we’re solidly into fall, I’m enjoying so many things that weren’t even on my radar a couple of months ago. I always like to look over my list once I’ve put it together for you and see if there is a theme. Sure enough, one or two emerged. I think you’ll see that I’m enjoying nesting, getting cozy and warm and looking ahead to the Christmas season and the new year.

My November 2021 Favorites

Cashmere Garland Plaid Wrap Scarf

After living in Ohio for a little over two years now, I’ve definitely learned a thing or two about keeping warm. And one thing I’ve changed is the kinds of scarves I wear. While I still like the knit scarves, nothing layers on the warmth quite like a wide, flat cashmere scarf. This year I purchased this Cashmere Garland Plaid Wrap Scarf from Talbots, and I’ve already enjoyed wearing it so much.

Puffer Jacket and Scarf

I also have this scarf in this cheerful wreath plaid. Today Talbots is having a great Cyber Monday sale with 50% off one item and 40% off the rest of your purchase. So it’s a great day to buy an investment item like this Cashmere Garland Plaid Wrap Scarf. It is so soft and warm!

L.L.Bean Flannel Sleep Pants in Vintage Indigo

Because I had took a day off from work to start my recovery from my Mohs surgery and I had a day when I was down with a pulled muscle in my back, I’ve really enjoyed lounging in these L.L.Bean Flannel Sleep Pants in Vintage Indigo. But even on regular nights they’re warm and cozy for sleeping and fun to lounge in.

Flannel Sleep Pants and Henley Tee

L.L.Bean is one of those stores that rarely runs big sales. And the only thing they’re offering in the way of Cyber Monday is 15% off their Wicked Good slippers. They are indeed wicked good! But I think L.L.Bean does a pretty good job of offering quality products at a fair price to begin with. And I didn’t mind paying full price for these Flannel Sleep Pants, considering the wear I’ll get out of them.

Lightweight Waffle Base Layer Henley

While I do like and wear the waffle knit Henley tee I showed with my Flannel Sleep Pants above and in this post, I honestly gravitate to the cheerful brilliant raspberry color of this Lightweight Waffle Base Layer Henley from J.Crew more frequently. I purchased it to wear as a t-shirt, but when I saw that it looked nice with my Flannel Sleep Pants and that it’s soft enough to wear to bed, I put it in the rotation.

Waffle Henley and Sleep Pants
Flannel Sleep Pants // Lightweight Waffle Base Layer Henley

I don’t even have a photo of me wearing the Henley to share with you. And I would have taken one, but it’s in the dirty clothes! But let me tell you, this is a fun shirt. Henley tees are really trending this year, but they’re a classic, too. And this one is truly soft and lightweight enough to wear as a base layer, but substantial enough to wear on its own, too. It comes in lots of great colors (although I’m quite partial to this brilliant raspberry), and it’s marked down 55% for Cyber Monday. Use code CYBER.

Daybreak Scuffs from L.L.Bean

I’m also really enjoying these Daybreak Scuffs from L.L.Bean. I still wear my Acorn Jam mules a lot, too. But as someone who works from home, I’ve definitely got room in my closet for more than one pair of house shoes. The Daybreak Scuffs are a little more substantial than the Acorn Jam mules, but they’re still soft and very comfortable.

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw Blanket

While we’re talking about all these cozy lounge and sleep clothes, let’s go ahead address the blanket in the room. Ha!

Relaxing by the Fire
Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw Blanket // See the original post for more details.

I drape this Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw Blanket across my lap every morning as I drink my coffee and read my Bible. I’d heard about how soft and yummy these blankets were for years, but had never even touched one. Boy, when I did there was no going back. I purchased one for me and one for Abigail in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and gave her hers for her birthday.

Prepare Him Room Daily Advent Devotional

Speaking of cuddling up with my blanket, drinking coffee and reading my Bible, my next favorite is one I can’t wait to share with you. I’ve been giving the Prepare Him Room Daily Advent Devotional a test run this month so I could see if I would recommend it to you. The verdict? Yes! Susie Larson has written a beautiful, warm and joyful devotional guide for advent.

Prepare Him Room

This Advent guide is a 24-day devotional, and is available in hardcover or on Kindle. I think if you order now, you could have it in time to begin on December 1, which is when you would begin ideally. The devotionals are fairly short, so you can easily fit it in with other Bible reading you’re already doing. I’ve done a couple of weeks of it, but I’ll be starting over on December 1.

I love having an Advent devotional to help me prepare my heart for Christmas each year. I think it’s so important, especially in the midst of all the shopping and gifting and decorating and celebrating. And Susie Larson has written a devotional guide that helps us focus on the bigger picture, even beyond the sweet baby in the manger.

Rachelyn’s Kay Earrings

A little over a month ago, sweet Rachel Carns shared with me that she was designing a pair of earrings in my honor. I was stunned. But I was even more overwhelmed when she sent them to me. She couldn’t have designed anything that suit me more. The Kay Earrings feature gold plated Dogwood flowers on a sterling silver post paired with a gold-fill freshwater pearl dangle.

The Kay Earrings
Kay Earrings

I find myself wearing the Kay Earrings so frequently already. They’re perfect for nice occasions, but I also love pairing them with a soft cashmere sweater and jeans. Remember, you can use code KAYHARMS for 10% off your order at Rachelyn. She makes exquisite, feminine jewelry and packages it just lovely, too. She offers $5 flat rate shipping in the US and $16 international shipping.

Rifle Paper Marguerite 2022 Planner

When I was creating my Holiday Gift Guide for Young Women, I ended up purchasing the Rifle Paper Marguerite 2022 Planner. I had decided that I really need the daily planning function that a planner like this offers. Because it’s a 17-month planner I was able to dive right in.

Rifle Paper Planner
Rifle Paper Marguerite 2022 Planner

My Rifle Paper Marguerite 2022 Planner is sold out in the large 17-month format, but it’s still available in the Wildwood design. But if you are fine with not having the last five months of 2021 in your calendar, you could opt for the 12-month soft cover spiral planner in either design. I actually would have preferred that myself. And the price is great. Today for Cyber Monday, Rifle Paper is offering 30% off everything (with a few exceptions). Use code HOLIDAY30.

I’ve already been filling mine with plans for the new year!

Estee Lauder 29 Beauty Essentials Supreme Set

I ordered the Estee Lauder 29 Beauty Essentials Supreme Set when they first came out over a month ago and I’ve been enjoying its parts ever since. It sold out for a while, but has been restocked. You do have to purchase another Estee Lauder item of $45 in order to purchase this $550 value set at $75. I purchased this advanced night repair eye cream and have had good results with it.

Estee Lauder 29 Beauty Essentials Supreme Set

My favorite products in the 29 Beauty Essentials Supreme Set include the eye makeup remover, the full size night eye gel and serum, the full size moisturizer, the two eye shadow palettes, the lipstick and the mascara. Yeah, that’s about everything! I especially like that the eyeshadows help me create very subtle, soft looks. It’s been a fun set to work with.

Banana Republic Essential Camisole

I actually purchased these Banana Republic Essential Camisoles a while back. Maybe even last winter??? But of course I’ve only recently pulled them out and started wearing them almost daily with the colder weather. I’ve gotten much more cold natured in recent years. Plus I moved north. Ha! So I wear a Banana Republic Essential Camisole in hue #160 almost every day under my sweaters. I even wore one yesterday under this blouse (mine is ivory and sold out). The camisole functions beautifully under anything really.

Essential Camisole
Banana Republic Essential Camisole

If you’re looking for a camisole to wear under a variety of tops, I can highly recommend this one. It’s soft, pleasantly stretchy, has adjustable straps, fit close to the body but not tight at all and comes in a wide range of tones to work with your skin color. I wear hue #160, for reference. And today Banana Republic is offering 50% off and free shipping, no minimum required.

Voluspa Mini Jar Candle Duo

I had no idea when I purchased this Voluspa Mini Jar Candle Duo in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale how much I would enjoy these candles. First of all the colors of the jars work well with my decor. But also I love the fragrances.

I don’t have to burn them long before they fill the room with scent. So I think these candles will last me a while. They make a nice gift, too.

I originally purchased them as hostess gifts. But I’ve since then purchased another Voluspa Mini Jar Candle Duo and kept them for myself!

Faux Fur Trim Leather Gloves

I purchased these Faux Fur Trim Leather Gloves when I was trying to round out a Talbots purchase for one of those “get $50 off every $200 you spend” deals. I’d always wanted some leather gloves and the price was right with the discounts they were offering.

Faux Fur Trim Leather Gloves

I wear a size large in the Faux Fur Trim Leather Gloves, but I have pretty large hands. They’re very comfortable, keep my hands quite warm and look oh so chic. For Cyber Monday, Talbots is offering 50% off your highest priced item, 40% off everything else and FREE SHIPPING, no minimum required.

So those are my November Favorites. Let me know if you have any questions about anything I shared. I’ll try to keep an eye on the comments throughout the day at least. Now, on to my reader and viewer favorites.

Your November 2021 Favorites

These are at least the most popular links that are resulting in purchases. And I have a feeling, most of the purchases have indeed been for these exact items. They’re winners in my book, too!

#5 – the Tish Pebbled Leather Chelsea Boots

I absolutely love my Tish Pebbled Leather Chelsea Boots. In fact, when Abby was looking for some this past week, we ended up ordering her a pair, too. I like that the leather is truly soft, so the boots feel great right out of the box.

Cognac Chelsea Booties
Tish Pebbled Leather Chelsea Boots

I also like that they are very basic looking. No bells or whistles. And sometimes…well, actually lots of times…that’s exactly what I want in my boots. Unfortunately the cognac Tish Pebbled Leather Chelsea Boots are sold out. But Talbots still has them in black in limited sizes. My prediction is they’ll sell out today. I’m sorry they don’t come in wide sizes, but they are a roomy boot. So I have plenty of room for thick socks. But they still fit true to size.

Remember, Talbots is offering 50% off one item and 40% off everything else, along with FREE shipping. That’s today only.

#4 – Mellani Bed Sheet Set

I have the Mellani Bed Sheet Set on my bed. And evidently a lot of you do, too, at this point. I think these soft, silky sheets from Amazon have been a reader favorite for several months now. For the price, you just can’t beat these Mellani Bed Sheets. I’ve noticed that they don’t last forever, but they’re inexpensive to restock. I have them right now in the white and the blue paisley.

#3 – Nordstrom V-Neck Cashmere Sweater

I purchased my first Nordstrom V-Neck Cashmere Sweaters a couple of years ago. I think they’re great quality for the price.

Nordstrom V-Neck Cashmere Sweaters

This year I purchased this bright pink one to add a little color to my wardrobe.

Pink V-neck Cashmere Sweater
Nordstrom V-Neck Cashmere Sweaters

The Nordstrom V-Neck Cashmere Sweaters come in a wide variety of colors, but they are selling out. They’ve been on sale for a while. And today they’re still marked down for Cyber Monday. They still have my bright pink, but only in a couple of sizes. I also purchased the blue flash (I’m wearing it up above with the Kay Earrings) and I think it’s a great color. But of course they come in neutrals, too.

#2 – Spongelle Bath Sponges

Among my gift guide suggestions, the Spongelle bath sponges have been the best seller by a long shot. You just never know what people are going to love. And I think whoever you purchased all those Spongelle bath sponges for is going to love them!

These fun bath sponges are four products in one: body wash, loofah, exfoliator, and moisturizer. They’re a small company headquartered in Los Angeles, California, where the sponges are also made.

#1 – The Wish Book Christmas Novella by Lynn Austin

I am so pleased that The Wish Book Christmas novella is our number one best seller of the month. I hope you have enjoyed reading it as much as I did. It’s a book that had me thinking about it even after I turned the last page.

Reading a Book
The Wish Book Christmas

This little novella is a quick but satisfying read. It takes place just post World War II, and tells the sweet Christmas story of two young single moms and their little boys. It’s thought-provoking and delightful. I envision rereading The Wish Book Christmas each year in the weeks preceding Christmas.

Well, those are OUR favorites, ladies. Thanks so much for stopping in. Be sure to revisit my Cyber Week Sales Headquarters for up to the minute Cyber Monday deals. Most stores have upped their game a bit today. It’s worth swinging back around for!

Blessed for My Day

Thanksgiving Day has come and gone, but the day for giving thanks to the Lord is always today. Let’s continue to be women who express our gratitude to God on an ongoing basis. I’ve found that practicing gratitude is such a boost in so many ways. Gratitude makes me a more positive person, helps me to have hope, inspires me to give more to others and keeps me content.

But practicing gratitude is more than just feeling grateful. I must express gratitude in order for it to grow and take up room in my life. I can express gratitude to God through prayer, but also through sharing with others what He is doing in my life. Today I am grateful to God for the community He has built here among us. You bring me joy!

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His faithfulness is everlasting. ~ Psalm 136:1,26

Spread the love
xoxo, Kay

  1. I have so much to comment on but by the time I got to the bottom, I forgot. I loved this whole post. Soft, warm and comfortable seems to be my theme this year. My problem is saying, “Oh, I think I’ll order me one too” one too many times. Cashmere beanies are in everyone’s stocking this year. Estée Lauder alway a favorite gift item.
An attitude of gratitude is what I heard someone say. I hope I keep that. I really am grateful to God for getting me through this year.?
