Does it seem exponentially easier to shop for the women in your life? It sure does for me. So I’m often scrambling about now to order a few final things for the men on my list. I’ve rounded up some great last minute Christmas gifts for men today. And these are items you should still be able to get to you or them by the big event.

‘Tis that time of year when shipping services are telling us to wrap our Christmas shopping up and get those packages moving towards their destinations already. So I’ve selected all of these last minute gifts for men from Amazon. Depending on where you live, many of these could be delivered within 24 hours. But definitely check estimated arrival dates before purchasing.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.

I’ve found that generally people appreciate the thoughtfulness of a gift just as much as the gift itself. So don’t overthink your selections. The guys on my list tend to buy for themselves the things they really want. So I try to give them items that are nice, but they may not have thought of them before.

Blessed for My Day

We don’t know much about Joseph, the man who raised the Lord Jesus as his own son, other than that he turned out to be obedient to the angel of the Lord’s command to take Mary as his wife, even after discovering that she was pregnant. That single act of obedience really impresses me. It means that Joseph must have feared the Lord God more than he cared about the opinions of people. That’s an inspiration to me.

This Christmas season I’m pausing to think over my relationship with the Lord. I want to make sure that I seek to please and honor Him more than I care to please people. I’m reading Pleasing People: How Not to Be an Approval Junkie, by Lou Priolo. Mr. Priolo was my daughter Abigail’s boss until his untimely passing about a year ago. He was a wise and discerning man, and this book is eating my lunch. But it’s good. I didn’t really think I had a problem with people pleasing, but within the first chapter I realized I do. Anyhow, I just wanted to share it with you.

But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” ~ Matthew 1:20-21

  1. I just downloaded the book to my Kindle and look forward…(I think, LOL) to reading it. I believe I can glean much from it too. Thank you and wishing you God’s blessings this holiday season.

  2. Your list for men was really great. It is harder to shop for men. My men also like knives… kitchen knives , camping knives and pocket knives. They do have to be mindful of airports and school.

  3. Shopping for my husband is usually replacing items he has worn out and won’t go shopping for himself! He does not want to wear anything other than the styles he is used to, which is fine, unless you can’t get them anymore, like tassled loafers in a EEE 🙂 As for people pleasing, I’m sure that can be a problem but I also worry that in our society sometimes being considerate of others might be interpreted as being a “doormat” – always the need for balance in everything we do…
