Hello and welcome to Dressed for My Day. I’m well overdue for posting an inner beauty post, so I thought Good Friday would be a good day to do that. I’ve prepared a 10-minute video for you today that shares how we can be women of hope. I think our world craves hope like few other things. And we can be women who share that hope with a hurting and anxious world. That’s why I think hope is the most beautiful thing we can wear this Easter…and beyond.

  8. Dear Sweet Kay, I just listened to your podcast about being a pastor’s wife. Although my husband is not a pastor, he is an elder in a large church and I was able to relate to much of what you said. Thank you for being such a “sweet aroma” for Christ! Your godly wisdom and kind and gracious speech no doubt will draw women to Christ! I just love your blog and videos. They are helpful in trying to stay current and classy with fashion and your devotionals at the end are always an encouragement to my soul. On a side note…I know you and James like to take little weekend trips around Ohio. If you’re ever interested in heading north, I’d encourage you to consider checking out the quaint town of Chagrin Falls (just south of Cleveland.) Lots of cute restaurants, shops, places to walk, etc. our church is called PARKSIDE Church (our pastor is Alistair Begg and he can be heard at Truth for Life.org if you’d ever like to worship there on a Sunday if you’re in the area.) Thank you for pointing so many women to Christ. You are a blessing! ?

  9. Thank you Kay, your post and His message was very timely for me. I have been carrying a heavy load of hopelessness since the passing of my sister on Jan 3rd 2020, 2 weeks later the sudden death of my other sister’s son, 3 weeks after that, the diagnosis of 3rd stage renal cancer for my husband who had his kidney removed. And now my dearest cousin who is finally losing her battle with cancer. It has been so very difficult for me. I’ve been so angry and feeling hopeless. I believe the Lord guided me to your page where I have again started to lean on the Lord for strength and now this message of Hope from you. Thank you Kay ❤ Happy Easter, He is Risen!

    1. Oh Norah. I’m so very sorry for your losses. There definitely are seasons when we wonder if the sun will ever shine again. I give you this scripture today to hold onto: “You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?
      … This I know, that God is for me.” Psalm 56:8-9. Please know that your God is for you. He has been there for each tear you’ve cried. And He is intimately familiar with your tossings. He is at work and He is preparing a future for you where there will be no more pain or suffering or loss. Bless you, dear Norah. May God’s presence and love be more real to you now than ever. ?

  11. Thank you for yr message of Hope! Yes, we certainly need Hope now. Are you familiar with Emily Dickinson’s poem, “Hope: Hope is the thing with feathers-that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops at all….” Like Christ who never stops loving us.

  12. Thank you Kay for this wonderful blessing. I needed this so much. Everyday I thank God for what He has given me, and hope that He will bless me and my family everyday. Sometimes we get so discouraged on the things going on around us and we do get into despair. Sometimes it is so hard not to get discouraged when we wish for things that have not come to pass even though we pray for it everyday. Thank God that he gives us hope. Have a wonderful Easter.

    I truly enjoyed this video and thank you so much for making it and sharing it. I believe there will be some lives come to know Christ through it. I am a born again Christian and this video put tears in my eyes towards the end. You touched me with you words and I thank the Lord for you and what you do for all the women who follow you and see how Jesus can change their life.
