Happy Friday! It’s a great day to shop the Talbots Spring Collection 2026 because you’ll get 25% off your entire purchase in their annual Spring Fashion Style event. In fact, you’ll get that deal through Monday, March 9, 2026. You’ll also receive free shipping on order of $150+ for a limited (and undisclosed) time. Finally, because Friday is National Dress Day, Talbots has select dresses marked down to just $99 through Saturday. I purchased a few items from Talbots recently and I’m sharing how I’ve styled them for spring below.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.

I’ve integrated my new Talbots favorites into a couple of outfits with other items from my spring wardrobe. I’ve linked everything shown in these two looks in the captions under the photographs. I’ll also have a shopping widget at the end of the post with all of these items. Just keep in mind, they’re not all from Talbots, but I’ll call out the items that are.

Green & Navy from the Talbots Spring Collection 2026

I have purchased so many coats and jackets over the years from Talbots. I find that their classic designs in outerwear hold their value in my closet, plus they are versatile, comfortable and truly stylish.

twill car coat (TTS medium) // elbow sleeve ribbed crewneck sweater // wide ankle twill pants // similar belt // loafers TTS // shoulder bag (c/o)// earrings // coin necklace // beaded necklace

The hillside green car coat immediately caught my eye as I scrolled through the Talbots spring collection 2026. As much as I love traditional trench coats, I really enjoy having other smart spring coats in my wardrobe even more.

Especially if you will be spending the day in your jacket as you pop in and out of shops or tourist attractions, wearing a spring coat in a flattering color can be the way to go.

I always purchase a top or sweater in the same color as any jacket or outerwear I buy. That way I can always have that duo to wear together in a 1-2 punch that consistently looks smart and stylish. This elbow sleeve ribbed crewneck sweater comes in a wide variety of colors and fits nicely true to size, as does the coat.

Here I’ve worn the smart hillside green car coat and the elbow sleeve ribbed crewneck sweater in the same color over a pair of indigo navy wide ankle twill pants. I completed the outfit with my comfortable Nappa leather loafers. Everything is comfortable and fits true to size.

This outfit looks smart and polished for lunch with friends, a day of shopping, a class or club meeting or even a morning at the art museum.

I appreciate shopping at Talbots because they carry a wide range of sizes in misses, petite, plus and plus petites. They have a generous return policy and great customer service. Don’t forget to sign up for their Classic Awards program so you can quickly and easily earn awards towards future purchases. I’ve created a shopping widget below with some of my other favorites from the Talbots spring collection 2026. But then scroll down to see another way I styled the hillside green elbow sleeve ribbed crewneck sweater.

Incorporating the Green Sweater Into Another Outfit

I’ve learned so many things from my mother through the years. But one of the most practical tips that she impressed upon me early in life is to shop smart by always using the 3x3x3 rule. This wardrobe rule helps you to build a cohesive wardrobe with items you truly wear by ensuring that you can wear anything you bring into your closet with at least three different outfits, with three different pairs of shoes and for at least three different occasions in your real life.

denim jacket // elbow sleeve ribbed crewneck sweater // white jeans (sized up to 31) // similar belt // loafers TTS // shoulder bag (c/o)// earrings // coin necklace // beaded necklace

So just as a quick example of another way I can wear the cheerful hillside green elbow sleeve ribbed crewneck sweater with other things in my closet, I’m sharing another outfit with that spring top.

The elbow sleeve ribbed crewneck sweater looks equally smart with white jeans or pants and a denim jacket. I’ve still worn my Nappa leather loafers here, but I could certainly swap in a pair of ballet flats or sneakers just as well.

That said, one of the main reasons I enjoy shopping Talbots is because their pieces really are classic enough to play well with the other items in my closet consistently. I can wear them year after year. And many of my items from Talbots are versatile enough to wear for different types of occasions, too.

Below I’ve created a shopping widget with the items from the two outfits I’ve shown here. But scroll up to see my Talbots Favorites shopping widget. Or just head straight to Talbots HERE. Happy shopping!

By the way, today’s blog post was NOT sponsored by Talbots and I purchased all of the items shown from Talbots myself. Thanks for stopping in.

Blessed for My Day

This week my husband and I have been in Tucson, Arizona, taking photographs and videos for the blog and YouTube channel. At this time of year it’s just so much easier and effective to photograph spring outfits in warm weather and in a place with some blooms and sunshine, rather than in Cincinnati, where it’s still very cold and dismal looking. We lived in Arizona, about 90 miles southeast of Tucson, for 14 years, so we enjoy returning occasionally.

But we have mixed memories here. In 14 years we experienced a lot of highs and some painful lows. It only stands to reason that as we drive along or revisit favorite places, we do a lot of looking back…sometimes with laughter, other times with a little sadness. But I can tell you with such assurance and joy that I see the fingerprints of God on every memory. He has been so faithful to do such wonderful things in our lives, through the blissful moments and the hardest days. So we praise Him. And even where solemn memories rise up to greet us, we can smile at the past. We have no regrets, no anger, no bitterness, just peace and joy…because God has done wonderful things.

Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago. ~ Isaiah 25:1

xoxo, Kay

  1. That green looks fantastic on you! I agree, I love Talbots too, for the same reason. I get a lot of milage out of the clothing I purchase from them. This spring, they have so many lovely colors for women with Spring or Summer coloring. I really love your second outfit, can duplicate it with my Autumn jade green and cream. 🙂

  2. I’ve never purchased anything from Talbots before until I found your blog. I’ve bought a floral blouse and denim raw hem shorts, you posted. Looking forward to bringing them out again this Spring and Summer.
The green of this car coat and sweater looks amazing on you. So pretty with your hair color.
    Enjoy your last days.
PS When our Pastor retired years ago, he moved to Tucson and I also had a friend move there from here. (Oregon)

  3. Love the devotional today. We have been on the mission field now for 34 yrs and we likewise have become very acquainted with the high mountains and deep valleys. I appreciate your attitude towards the solemn memories…it reminds me not to be bitter or angry. God bless!
