When I finally came to terms with creating a wardrobe that truly reflects my real lifestyle, I decided it is wise to invest in stylish, high quality but comfortable clothes that work for a casual life. Even on our everyday kind of days, we can look polished, pulled together and fashionable. Today I’m sharing some favorite elevated casual fall looks from Frank & Eileen, my favorite go-to for my everyday life.

The best elevated casual fall looks usually begin with a great pair of jeans. The Frank & Eileen Galway wide-leg jeans are among my favorites that I reach for frequently. They have a mid rise and a fair amount of stretch, making them the perfect jean for everyday wear.

I find the Galway jeans to run true to size, according to the Frank & Eileen size guides. Definitely use their guides for sizing throughout the website. They’ve never steered me wrong.

For an elevated casual fall look that’s comfortable enough for an easy morning, but still worthy of stepping out, I topped the Galway jeans with a yummy flannel shirt.

The Eileen relaxed button-up shirt in Italian flannel is such a nice option for a fall day. Eileen is generously cut, with Frank & Eileen’s signature bust-flattering button placement, so you don’t have to worry about it popping open or pulling across the chest. But of course I’ve left mine unbuttoned over a tank top here for some effortless layering.

I love the Eileen relaxed button-up shirt in this grey and tan with white plaid for a soft look. But it comes in over 20 beautiful, rich flannel plaids. The selection is really pretty amazing. Of course, the Eileen is also available in other fabrics, including triple fleece, their famous denim and Italian corduroy.

I mentioned earlier that I live a fairly casual lifestyle. I’ve learned that, while I love my denim, I can also feel a little more special and still enjoy comfort in other casual pants, too. You’ll find lots of stylish but casual non-jeans options at Frank & Eileen.

Here I’m wearing the Italian wide-leg chino Frank & Eileen calls the Westport. They are super comfy, but still look elevated and stylish with their relaxed fit and cropped length. They have a smooth contour waistband with belt loops, a zip fly and hook-and-bar closure, front and back pockets and a finished hem. Use their size guide for the perfect fit. I’m wearing my usual 10 very comfortably.

I topped the Westport chinos with the white Theo t-shirt from Frank & Eileen, and then layered on another Eileen Italian flannel shirt, this time in washed red plaid.

I just love the colors in this washed red plaid flannel shirt. And you could easily wear it with black or blue jeans, too.

I love having comfortable but stylish clothes from Frank & Eileen in my closet that I can use to create such elevated casual looks for fall. One of the perks of working from home is that I can wear these styles most any day. But of course another benefit of my job is that I can take it anywhere! Right now we’re spending a week in a cottage near the Finger Lakes area of New York, which is where I took these photos.

And you know I traveled here in Frank & Eileen, too. They have so many great travel sets, perfect for air or car or rail travel. Monday I left the house in my black Venice travel set. This set features the Kane capelet hoodie and the Eamon jogger sweatpant, both in Frank & Eileen’s signature 100% cotton triple fleece. But you get a little savings when you purchase the pieces together as a set.

But I think my favorite travel set is the New York in British royal navy, shown below. I love wearing it with a t-shirt underneath, but you can certainly wear the tripe fleece Eileen shirt (sold separately here, if you’d prefer) buttoned for a trim look. Check out all of the Frank & Eileen travel sets for different seasons and types of travel. In fact, they have some great new colors perfect for fall, like Irish chocolate, vintage white, biscotti and evergreen.

Thanks so much for stopping in for a little style inspiration today. I hope this post has inspired you to put a little thought and effort into your everyday outfits. You can create elevated casual fall looks with a little effort and a stylish wardrobe. Thanks so much to Frank & Eileen for sponsoring today’s post. All opinions and thoughts are my own and genuine, but I truly love and wear this amazing woman-founded and managed brand.

Blessed for My Day
Today we’re driving the long trip home from Ithaca, New York, to Cincinnati. Actually James does all the driving between us. But even being in the passenger seat of a long car ride on the Interstate leaves me a little fretful. My husband is a safe driver, but others with whom we will share the road sometimes are not. This Friday I’ll board a plane to Atlanta, and I’ll feel some of the same travel anxiety.
But I’m learning to lean into the Lord during those anxious moments. Honestly, I think it’s a matter of obedience. The Bible acknowledges our human propensity toward anxiety, but instructs us to choose not to fear all the same. So today I’m remembering that the Lord is my rock and fortress. And I am taking refuge in Him. What will you do in your anxious moments?
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my savior, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. ~ Psalm 18:2

Cute casual outfits! I am just surprised that for $248 the plaid on the flannel shirts doesn’t match up.
I noticed that the plaid doesn’t match as well, Judy! Maybe plaid matching is “old school.” I was taught to match patterns in my home economics sewing class in high school!
Kay, I’m so glad you enjoyed the Finger Lakes region. We travel there once a year from Western PA to replenish our wine supply and take in the beautiful scenery. We enjoy live music at some of the wineries, historical tours, and shopping while we’re there. We’ve never gone when the leaves are changing; we might have to remedy that! Safe travels to Cincinnati.
I also noticed that the plaid did not match up, especially on the side seams. Seeing that indicates that we need to pay attention to little details of construction when purchasing articles of clothing. Thank you for pointing that out to us!
I really like the flannel, linen, etc. shirts of F&E’s, however they are much above my budget. Sorry, their clothes are beautiful, and made well, I’m sure.
Lately, I’ve been dealing with some fears that have been weighing me down, esp. dealing with the future–feelings of insecurities, mostly. I’ve had prayer for that recently and, with the Lords mercy and grace, I’m trusting in Him and resting in Him and his knowledge of the future. So, this morning I was reading in Proverbs and came across familiar verses in Chapter 3, which I know by heart. However, reading on to verses 7 and 8…they mean more to me now than several years ago.
“Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” (Prov. 3: 7&8 Esv.)
Could it be that wanting to know and even control the future (too much) is not fearing and trusting the Lord, but my own self??? Well, much to pray about. The Lord is good to keep teaching me even in old age. He will not forget us, ladies. He is there to help us live by faith and hope in Him! Much praise goes to Him!

If only I could afford F and E. Clothes are lovely on you and I’m sure you enjoy wearing them not only for comfort but how they make you feel. I ‘ll have to live vicariously through you.
One more thing I just thought of and maybe you have gotten this information by now, but…I believe that the Skin Tone that can be both warm and/or cool is called “Neutral.” You can check that out to make sure, but I remember that I had heard that reference in several other Utubers years ago that I’ve watched.
Thanks for all you do to make our the dressing stylish journey easier. J
