Maybe you’ve heard that cropped length jackets are trending. Indeed, they are! And if you’d like to add one to your wardrobe without breaking the bank, I’ve got you covered with some great styles from Kohl’s. These are both fun, sporty jackets. And they’re in trending colors or fabrications, too. This first plum colored patch pocket bomber jacket is fairly lightweight and features easy to close snaps up the front. It’s your bomber jacket from high school come back in a much prettier shade!
The patch pocket bomber jacket is also available in black. And I’m wearing my true size medium very comfortably. It comes in sizes x-small to xx-large. First I wore it over a striped ribbed turtleneck (also available in solids), and then I wore the jacket over a same-colored ribbed turtleneck. Remember, doubling up your color up top is so smart and never fails!
In all of these looks I’m wearing my Levi’s classic straight leg jeans (in Lapis Speed). These are super comfy jeans and the only ones I took with me on our Alaska trip. I also wore my new Addidas court sneakers in maroon. I love the platform on these; so on trend! The sneakers run true to size for a slightly roomy fit, which you can accommodate with a sock.
I think this is a fun and sporty look!
Another trend that we’re seeing this year is the prevalence of silver. So I decided this silver faux leather moto jacket could be a fun addition to my fall wardrobe.
Of course, here I’ve worn the silver faux leather jacket for a casual everyday look with those same jeans, sneakers and turtleneck. But I think it could work great over a dressy skirt, dress or pair of slacks for an elevated holiday look with a little juxtaposition.
The jacket fits true to size, but it is a slimmer fit than the bomber jacket. It’s also available in black, and comes in sizes x-small to xx-large.

Some may assert that because Christians are “not at home in this world,” we shouldn’t get too involved in it. But I’m reminded that when God sent the people of Judah into exile in Babylon, He actually instructed them to “build home and live in them, plant gardens and eat their produce.” They were to help their new home land to prosper by participating in it and praying for it.
Please do not leave any comments that could be construed as political in any way, but I do want to encourage you to vote. As salt and light in this world we have a God-given responsibility to participate in the political process of our government. But we also have a mandate to pray for our country, to seek its welfare. Let’s step up and take those responsibilities seriously.
