Hi, sweet gal. Let’s go for a walk! Today I’m simply sharing a simple but elevated athleisure look for spring and summer. This is absolutely the kind of trio I like to wear when I get out for my daily walks.
Just yesterday a reader asked me to share more sensibly priced athletic wear. While I wouldn’t necessarily wear today’s outfit for my sweatiest workout – though you absolutely could! – this is exactly what I like to wear when I just get out to move my body. Which I do every day I possibly can these days.
I favor these kinds of pieces for daily walks because I can wear them all day long or just throw them on for an evening stroll. But if I put them on in the morning after my “big workout” and my shower, I’ll be more prone to get out for another jaunt around the block sometime during the day. And if I need to get out to run an errand or two, I’m still dressed in a way that looks pulled together.
Christopher & Banks reached out to me recently, offering to send me some of their newest pieces to share with my followers on Instagram. But after taking these photos, I wanted to share them with you here first.
I’m so impressed with the quality of these Relaxed Restyled Zipper Pockets Capris. They’re made from a lightweight 95% cotton, 5% Spandex jersey knit that keeps its shape while you’re on the move. But it has a more polished look than most, and it has a luxurious hand. I’m wearing a size SMALL in these capris. They’re also available in black, but I thought the navy looked perfect for spring.
On top I’m wearing the Short Sleeve Jewel Neck Tee in Scooter Red. The tee, available in 14 great colors, is 100% cotton jersey knit and very soft. I’m wearing a size SMALL. Today you can buy two or more of any of Christopher and Banks’ Perfect Tees for just $10 each. I think that’s a steal!
And over the short sleeve tee, I’m wearing the Relaxed Restyled Zip Up Stripe Sweatshirt. Again I’m wearing a SMALL. Christopher & Banks clothing is usually generously sized. All three of these pieces fit me just the way I want my activewear to fit…skimming the body, comfortable and easy.
Not only are these coordinating pieces perfect for my everyday walks around the neighborhood, but they’ll be great for travel…someday!
You might want to check out Christopher & Banks’ other athleisure pieces here in their Relaxed Restyled section. In fact, it’s a good day to shop Christopher & Banks. Everything is 40-80% off!
While Christopher & Banks did offer to send me some of their new styles to share with you, I selected the pieces that would fit my style aesthetic and wardrobe needs. And I only accept such offers when I have the prerogative to share or not share, depending on my evaluation of the product. So you can trust that I found these athleisure coordinates to be stylish and good quality, or I would never recommend them to you. I appreciate Christopher & Banks sharing these pieces with me so I could share them with you.

Blessed for My Day
While I admire Solomon’s famous request for God to give him wisdom above riches, I’m more impressed with his motives. I wonder if it wasn’t his heart’s desire that moved God’s heart, too. Solomon craved wisdom above all else because he realized a few important things. First he knew the job he’d been given was too big for him. Second he knew the people of his kingdom really belonged to God. And finally he desired to rule them well.
Sweet gal, we have been given difficult responsibilities, too. Some of us have hard people to love, physical challenges to work through, financial restrictions, groups to lead, students to teach, businesses to build, employees to manage or patients to diagnose. But if we’ll remember that the job is indeed too big for us, the people involved really belong to God an the goal is to “do well,” then we’ll be driven to seek God’s wisdom, too. And that’s where we’ll find strength, knowledge, perspective and, ultimately, success.
And Solomon said to God, “You have shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and have made me king in his place. O Lord God, let your word to David my father be now fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?” ~ 2 Chronicles 1:7-10
