It’s time for another Christmas Gift Guide for 2020. Today I’m sharing my curated list for senior adults. Now I realize that most of us actually fall in that category. Hahaha! But I’d be remiss not to create a list for this unique category. These gifts may indeed suit you perfectly or they may be more appropriate for your parents. You interpret this list as you may.

NOTE: All of my gift guides are best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer. You can certainly see them and shop through them on your handheld device. But you’ll be able to compare, navigate and see the visuals better on your larger screens. All Christmas gift guides can be found here or through the top menu of this site.

The gifts in this list are various. Some are geared to those who have slowed down a bit, but others are for those who are still very active. Most of my choices do indeed take this unique age group into consideration, allowing for mobility issues, sentimentality and unique interests. Also, I’m including gifts in a full range of prices. I’ve tried to choose gifts from places with free or expedited shipping, but also places where you’ll find the most unique choices.

I’ll be adding to the list in days to come, so be sure to check back in when you’re ready to get serious about shopping. Or hey, start shopping today! Many of these are sure to sell out. Enjoy!

If you like what you’re seeing here at Dressed for My Day, I invite you to subscribe to my email list. You can receive an email each time I post (about 6 times weekly) or just on Saturdays. You choose! But you’ll also receive the password to open up all the subscriber freebies I offer.

For my Christmas gift guides I’m going to include a Blessed for My Day, but I’m going to try something a little different. I’ll just be providing a few beautiful “Christmas verses” for you to meditate on. Enjoy!

Blessed for My Day

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ~ Isaiah 9:6

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. ~ Titus 3:3-7

When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. ~ Luke 2:17-20

Spread the love
xoxo, Kay

  1. Well – I’m a senior, and only a couple of those would appeal to me, like the bottle opener! I already have the Keurig cappuccino/coffee maker, but the rest are not things I would put on my list! They are good things, but there are so many of us that are active, young at heart seniors, and always on my list, but so far never given to me (!) is a spa day, gift card for Sephora or Ulta, gift cards to our favorite retail outlets, and anything new and techy!! New luggage, or packing cubes for when we can travel again, weekly flower delivery, wine delivery, Not criticizing your list, just adding some suggestions – if we go into lockdown again, I would appreciate a subscription to a gourmet meal delivery service (there are so many since the pandemic began – not Hello Fresh, or ones where you have to do the cooking, although those are good too), but meals fully prepared from a gourmet chef! I would also love some new art supplies, and on-line course subscription and things like that.

  2. These are some great gift ideas! My hubby gave me the gardening bench you first posted as a gift last year. I love it…I’m only 65, but have a bad back & knees. Thanks for the gift suggestions!

  3. Hi Kay, I would love to see gifts for young couples also, if you have some ideas. It’s hard to buy something that appeals to both the guy and the girl!! Thanks!!

  4. Sturdy house shoes that you can run outside in.
    Warm bed jacket not robe.
    Flannel lined jeans.
Stamps for mailing Gifts. I never have any.
    Clothes hangers that are covered.
Small plastic dishes for microwave. Saucers, soup bowls. Sandwich. If you’re on blood thinners, they are safer than glass.
Amazon gift card. I can order online. These are good to send too because you don’t need to go out.
I’d be grateful for the thought but don’t send me sausage and cheese boxes. Just saying??
