Oh my, did July just fly by? I guess that’s how it goes when you get older. Hehehe! Indeed, today is the 6th day of August, so it’s past time to look through a few of our favorite things from July, 2025. I’ve run the numbers, and these are the top sellers that my followers have been buying this past month. Plus, I’m sharing a few of my favorite things from July, too.

Your Favorite Things July, 2025

Each month my assistant Lucy takes a careful look at our analytics so that we can know what really resonates with you. Generally it turns out that so many of you like the same things I like. This month is no exception. Of course we just closed the door on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2025 last night, too. So you’ll undoubtedly notice a few items that were deeply discounted for most of the month, but now have gone up to full price. I hope you snagged these favorites while they were on sale. Let’s check out a few of your favorite things for July, 2025.
#10 Stovepipe Jeans
I first introduced these Talbots light ecru stovepipe jeans in a March 2025 blog post. I’ve been enjoying them ever since, and I have a feeling a lot of my followers have been, too. But if you’re one of the many women who just purchased these stovepipe jeans last month, you’ll enjoy wearing them now and into the fall, too.

The stovepipe jeans are marked down and still available in most sizes, including misses, petite, plus and plus petite fits. I find them to run generous, but I do wear my true size 10. They’re a nice thickness and a flattering straight leg and ankle length. Great jeans for the fall.
#9 Stevie Cotton Tee
Not only was the AllSaint Stevie cotton tee in this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but it was also one of my top sellers from last year’s sale. In fact, the photo below was taken last year during the sale. I have the cotton tee in white, black and grey, but I think this year it was just available in black and white.

On the website the cotton tee looks like it is really cropped, but it’s not. If you wear it with high rise jeans or pants – which we’re frequently wearing these days – it’s the perfect length, just covering the belt line. I did size up to a large in the tee; it’s body skimming, but not tight. It’s the perfect thickness to wear with jackets and cardigans this fall.
#8 Sofia Blazer
I know that many of my readers and viewers enjoy blazers just as much as I do. While I’m all for wearing a sharp suit, I most often wear my blazers with jeans for my casual lifestyle. This L’Agence Sofia knit blazer pairs perfectly with those more casual pieces to create elevated outfits for special occasions. I featured it in this blog post along with another L’Agence jacket.

The unlined soft khaki knit blazer fits beautifully true to their size guides. I wear a large for a very comfortable fit according to their suggestions. In the blog post, in fact, I wore the L’Agence knit blazer with those Talbots light ecru stovepipe jeans, shown above. But the jacket will also work nicely with blue denim and black jeans or pants, as well as white. So versatile!
#7 Linen Pants
I now have these J.Crew new soleil linen drawstring pants in three colors: black, sweet meringue yellow and this strawberry sunrise red, which really is more red than it appears on their website. What color are yours? These linen drawstring pants are super versatile and fit true to size.

The yellow pair are lined, and the white and flax may be, too. I’m not sure. But the others are not. I find them to be very comfortable and perfect for so many warm weather occasions. I’m sure I’ve worn at least one pair each week of the summer. They are still available in limited sizes, and the sale is final. But I do find them to run true to size, and you can always adjust a little with that drawstring at the waist.
#6 Veronica Beard Bag
Here’s another Nordstrom Anniversary Sale find. In fact, this luxurious leather tote is undoubtedly one of my favorite finds in the sale. The leather is supple and soft, and the sand dollar color is perfection, pairing with so many things nicely. It does come in navy as well.

The Veronica Beard leather tote is full price now, of course. But if it fills a hole in your accessory wardrobe, it’s worth the splurge, especially since this is a bag you can easily carry year round for travel and for daily use. It has several open interior pockets, one interior zip pocket and two exterior open pockets. Then the top of the bag does zip up, too. It comes with a removable shoulder strap, but I find the two permanent straps go nicely over the shoulder for a close-to-the-body carry. Finally, the leather tote does have a flat bottom and gold feet so that it sits up nicely.
#5 Fit & Flare Leopard Dress
I featured this leopard print fit & flare dress in a recent YouTube video on how to style dresses different ways. I’m glad so many viewers liked it as much as I do. I think it looks charming just as it is, with a tasteful ruffle that goes all the way around the v-neckline. But I’m more likely to wear it with this shrug, as I showed in the video, or a denim jacket.

The fit & flare midi dress zips in the back for easy off and on, and it is lined. It runs true to size. See more of this dress and how I styled it in my recent YouTube video below.
#4 Striped V-Neck Tank
I came across this versatile v-neck tank when I was browsing through Evereve one day. I wish I’d noticed then that it actually comes in another stripe and a few solids, too, including a pretty cobalt blue. I love that it fits close to the body in my true size medium, and it ends just below the hips for flattering proportions.

The v-neckline is also very flattering on most women. And the v-neck tank also has panels under the arm for added modesty there. It’s proven to be very versatile in my closet. What are you wearing yours with?
#3 Fit & Flare Green Dress
The number three top seller is another dress from that YouTube video shown above. Be sure to watch that one if you haven’t already. In it I revealed that I was quite surprised how much I like this green fit & flare dress. It doesn’t look like much on the hanger, but it has a lovely drape and the print is cheerful and unique, while still looking modern.

This cotton fit & flare midi dress is great for many work environments, but it’s also suitable for a casual lunch out or even church. It fits true to size.
#2 Black & Ivory Ruffle Shell
We’re getting close to the number one top seller! And I have to say, this black and ivory ruffle shell is definitely one of my July favorites. I even wore it on my recent vacation! In fact, as you can see below, I wore it with those J.Crew linen drawstring pants.

But I’ve also worn the shell with the light ecru jeans and black jeans, too. It’s such a versatile sleeveless top to wear with cardigans and jackets through the fall.
#1 No Makeup Makeup
How fun to discover that the No Makeup Makeup is our number 1 top seller for July. Honestly, I don’t wear it frequently, but I do enjoy it when I want to lighten up a little. And I’ve traveled with it because, since it’s not a liquid, I don’t have to put it in my “liquids bag” and it saves space.

You can use code KAY15 for 15% off the No Makeup Makeup foundation & brush duo as well as other items at their website. This foundation provides buildable coverage, so you can create the look you enjoy. And I find that it wears beautifully and feels like I don’t even have foundation on. But it does create a radiant, even finish on my complexion. I definitely suggest purchasing it with the brush for best application.
Kay’s Favorite Things
As usual, so many of my favorites are also yours. My assistant created a shopping boutique below with my favorites instead of including photos. Use the scrolling bar on the right if needed to see all of the items I’m loving. Honestly, I haven’t even shared some of these things before. Shame on me for keeping them to myself!
I just got in the Hotel Lobby candle and diffuser set Friday and immediately began to use them. The fragrance is soft and rich, citrusy and bright, but elegant. I ordered the Rifle Paper Ladies Night Book Club art print to frame and put in my office. But it would make a sweet gift for a friend, sister, granddaughter or daughter, too. And I went ahead and got a new Rifle Paper academic calendar hardcover spiral planner so I wouldn’t have to do that at the end of the year. It goes through 2026 and these are my favorite calendars that I’ve used for about five years now.
I (and my nail tech) can tell a huge difference in the health of my nails and the texture of my hands since I began using the Ten Over Ten nail and hand products. I use the Sleep Mask each night, along with the Cuticle Oil. And I have the Age-Defying Serum on my desk and try to use it once a day. I got the Away Executive Bigger Carry-On so that I could carry my laptop in it when traveling and won’t have to carry an extra bag for it. It’s not quite as roomy on the inside, however. But it’s perfect for quick business travel. Of course I’ve already mentioned how much I like the Veronica Beard Grand Goody Tote.
I wore the Frank & Eileen Tuscany getaway set on my Michigan vacation, and it was my favorite outfit on the trip. It’s also available in navy and runs true to size; I wear a medium. And I enjoyed painting in my Emily Lex Camping watercolor workbook while on my vacation. So relaxing and fun! Oh, and since my daughter has encouraged me to “clean up” my cleaning products, I’ve enjoyed using the Blueland laundry detergent starter set and their dishwasher detergent starter set. And yes, they’re getting my clothes and dishes clean beautifully.
Thanks so much for stopping in to see what was hot, hot, hot at DFMD in July, 2025. I’d love to hear about your purchase if you shopped any of these or other items at Dressed for My Day this past month. I only recommend things I truly love, but I know we all have different experiences with purchases, too. Have a blessed and beautiful day!

Blessed for My Day
Make no mistake about it, it’s not enough just to build a house of worship. Nor is decorating it beautifully the goal. A church or cathedral or chapel is simply another pretty building unless the people of God gather there to worship the true God in truth and in spirit. In fact, as we learned as children, the building is not the church at all. The people of God are the church, and the church is called to serve God with full hearts and bodies.
What part are you playing in your church? Do you just show up? Or do you serve and contribute and participate? The sad story of Solomon’s completion of the temple and then his subsequent turning from God reminds us that true devotion to the Lord requires a heart committed to Him and life of unwavering obedience.
So Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king’s palace, and successfully completed everything that he had planned on doing in the house of the Lord and in his palace. ~ 2 Chronicles 7:11
The Talbots fit and flare leopard dress went straight into my cart as soon as you featured it in your YT video. 🙂 I ended up getting the regular vs the petite, because midi length on me just doesn’t look right. In the regular size, it became a maxi dress, and I love it!!! 🙂
How interesting to see the things that people are drawn to. To like what you see and appreciate it on others, or, to see it as right for yourself and make a purchase is a decision. Being aware of the difference is my constant reminder. This helps me be able to look at endless options. Thanks for putting the options out there.
Hi Kay, I love the stovepipe jean you promote as well as Talbots Slim Ankle jeans. Talbots ALWAYS fits me and I love their timeless style,
Another note, your hair is so flattering in the mid length Bob.
