I know it may feel early to some, but truly the holidays will be here before we know it. And since today Amazon begins their two-day Prime Early Access Sale today, I thought it would be a good day to roll out the first of my many Christmas gift guides for 2022. In the next few weeks I’ll issue gift guides for men, young women, young men, couples, families, the most senior adults, hostesses and more. But today we’ll simply begin with some of my favorite things from Amazon.

You’ll notice that I’ve added a 🎁 Gift Guide 2022 tab in the top menu of the blog. You’ll be able to find all of my 2022 Christmas gift guides there as I publish them. So be sure to start…and finish…your holiday gift shopping here at Dressed for My Day. And if you have a particular person or type of person that you’re shopping for, let me know. I’ll see what I can do to address all of your gift giving plans. My goal is always to provide great gift ideas for the people women over 50 may be shopping for.
The gifts I’ve selected from Amazon are in a wide range of prices and types. Some of these would make good stocking stuffers or Secret Santa gifts. Others are perfect for mothers, mothers-in-law, friends and sisters. And you’ll even find some that are suitable for the younger women in your life. You might want to pass this gift guide on to your husband or other people in your family, too.
Of course you can almost always get free and fast shipping when you order from Amazon. That’s why it’s one of my go-to sources for great Christmas gifts. But if you’re an Amazon Prime Member you will get special deals today as Amazon kicks off their Black Friday specials for these two days. I hope you enjoy my list of thoughtful Christmas gifts for women!

Blessed for My Day
I like to include a blessing that is fitting for the advent season with my Christmas gift guides. And when I think of beginning the Christmas season I always think first of John 1:1. This scripture always amazes me. The Messiah came to earth on what we celebrate as Christmas day. He was born to a virgin, a young inexperienced couple who were living one day at a time as obediently as they knew how. And He was placed in a humble feeding trough among the animals.
But that Messiah has always been. He is the eternal Creator. He is God and He is and always has been with God. And He is the Word, the very expression of God. Can we wrap our brains around that profound and baffling truth? No. But we hold our empty hands up and receive the gift. We can praise and worship this God who loves us so and receive Him into our hearts. Let’s begin to approach the Christmas season with the humility and awe that will bring us close to the Savior.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ~ John 1:1
I am so glad you are doing these guides “early”. I have to have most of my gifts purchased and wrapped by Thanksgiving this year. I am shopping fervently right now!
Thanks!
Hi Kay-
So glad to hear you are feeling better. I love your gift guides!! This year I need to purchase gifts for my employees – men and women, ages 30-60, can’t be too personal and need to spend roughly the same amount on each ($30-50). I’d be grateful for a few suggestions. Last year I did personalized coffee mugs with coffee cards. Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing this, Amy. I’ll definitely work on this. Maybe something for co-workers, employees, and servers (hairdresser, manicurist, etc.)
