The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale preview is up on the Nordstrom website, and it’s time to fill your wish list with the items that intrigue you. There will be plenty of time to hone that list and narrow it down so that it fits within your shopping budget. But when I first look through the offerings I excitedly load my wish list up. And today I’m sharing a little bit of what’s in my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Wish List.

Whether you’re excited about shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale or not, I think you might enjoy seeing some of the new fall fashions and accessories included in this annual pre-fall sale. Nordstrom began their yearly anniversary sale as a sort of reward for their credit cardholders years ago. If you hold a card with other similar retailers such as Belk or Macy’s or Bloomingdale’s you’re probably aware that those stores and others also open sales to their cardholders early or offer them exclusives savings. That’s really what’s going on here. But non-cardholders will be able to get in on the action sooner this year, too.
Previewing the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale online replaces the paper catalog and insures that everyone gets a chance to prepare for this mega pre-fall sale. You can preview the sale offerings for about a week or more and fill your Wish List with the items you are considering buying. They won’t be saved for you, mind you. But you’ll be able to go to your wish list when it’s your turn to shop and then transfer those products directly into your cart for quick purchasing.
You don’t have to have a Nordstrom credit card to use the wish list function, but you do have to have a Nordstrom account. It’s free and easy to create one if you don’t already have one. Be sure to sign into your account before you start previewing the sale so you can add items in your chosen color and size to your wish list. You can even create more than one wish list!
But if you do have a Nordstrom credit card you will get to shop the sale before non-cardholders. You can find the date you’ll start shopping based on your account level below.

And I’m pleased to pass on to you that these Spanx Stretch Twill Wide Leg Crops are everything I’ve heard in the hype. They feel great and are truly high quality pants. These pull-on pants feature a flat front but also have belt loops you can use. They suck you in in true Spanx fashion, but feel like pants, not leggings or shapewear.
The Spanx Stretch Twill Wide Leg Crops are regularly $128, but will be available in the Sale for $84.90. I think that’s a significant savings, making these slenderizing, multi-use pants a very reasonable price for the quality.
I normally shy away from rear view photos. Hahaha! But I didn’t mind at all asking my husband to take the photo above because I knew the Spanx Stretch Twill Wide Leg Crops were doing their job. They minimize panty lines and even provide a bit of a lift.
The Wide Leg Crops also come in bright white, so you could certainly wear those as soon as you get them. And you could style these olive green Wide Leg Crops for now, like I did above, and for later in the fall. Here’s how I styled them for work in the fall.
My only complaint is that I wish I had the next size up. The Spanx website actually suggests you size up in these, but they sent me my usual size medium. So I’m not going to lie; I struggled to get them on! But once they’re on they feel good. I do, however, think sizing up would be smart.
You’ll find so many more great buys just like these Spanx Stretch Twill Wide Leg Crops in the brands you love. In fact, I’m very impressed with the offerings in this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They have a wide selection of wardrobe basics such as tees, socks, undergarments and sleepwear. But you’ll also find some inspiring outerwear, boots and booties, premium denim, handbags and sweaters. I’m especially impressed with the offerings from Zella, Nordstrom’s in house activewear brand.
Of course, there are more. Those are just the pants and leggings that are in my wish list right now. You can find more offerings from Zella in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale here. They have great exercise and athleisure clothes.
As I’ve perused the denim offerings, I’ve been struck by the difference a year makes. While we’re still seeing a lot of cropped length or ankle length straight leg jeans, we are not seeing as many in the full lengths that are straight. Instead, the jean of fall 2022 seems to be the bootcut, flare and/or wide leg jean. I’ve gathered a few different styles that I’m up for trying in the graphic below.
Last year my biggest seller here at DFMD was a similar pair of Frame jeans that are still available (in different washes). When you compare the price of those jeans to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale price of the similar Frame Le High Raw Hem Ankle Straight Leg Jeans above you realize just how good most of the deals are. The prices will go up on August 1, and some of them will never come down again. I love my Frame jeans that I purchased last year, so I doubt I’ll purchase the ones above. But I thought I’d try them for comparison.
I’m also very excited about some of the beauty deals. Many of my beauty regulars are included again in the sale with significant savings on bundled deals.
I already use the Lancome Defenicils Mascara above and buy this set every year in the sale. I also purchased the Estee Lauder Advanced Repair Eye Set in last year’s sale and have really enjoyed the results I’ve gotten with this eye cream. I’ll be stocking up again. I’m anxious to get the Jo Malone Cologne Set because I love this family of fragrances but haven’t settled on a favorite yet. And I know Paula’s Choice products are good, so I’m purchasing the Paula’s Choice Jumbo BHA set this year.
Another category that really pleased me in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale preview is the jewelry. Sure, there is some lovely fine jewelry included, but I’m focused on the less expensive fashion jewelry that really resonates with my style. I purchased several Kendra Scott pieces in last year’s sale and some Argento Vivo the year before. Both have hit homeruns in their NSale offerings this year.
I purchased a similar black pendant necklace last year from Kendra Scott in the NSale and wore it on repeat during the fall and winter. It sold out fast in the black. I’m not actually sure that this one is black; it may be a dark brown, which is even better for me.
Well, I could go on and on sharing my findings, but I need to wrap this up. Needless to say, I’m quite pleased with what I saw in the sale. I think the savings are substantial and the collection hits all the major points for me: wardrobe essentials, interesting fashion pieces, gifts and personal pleasures. For instance, I’ll finally be snagging myself a Barefoot Dreams Robe this year. And these Nordstrom pjs look just my style!

I am incredibly disappointed in the preview. Not a single Tory Burch purse. Nothing exciting in Booties. I certainly don’t need jeans and have enough Kendra Scott to last a lifetime. Not sure I will purchase anything. Glad you found lots of things for yourself. Have a great day.
It’s true; Tory Burch isn’t participating this year. But I actually haven’t purchased Tory the past few NSales and find myself preferring the Coach bags instead. I do think there are lots of good finds this year, but you definitely have to dig through.
I think the nude heels are pretty, especially the slingbacks.
