Blessed for My Day
One thing we won’t find on sale this weekend is wisdom. You can’t buy wisdom. That means you can’t get it from a self-help book, a course, a counseling session or a seminar. We can only acquire wisdom from God. But that leaves us scratching our heads wondering how exactly this transaction takes place. How do you get wisdom from God?
The Bible teaches us that God desires to give us wisdom. We don’t have to beg or jump through hoops for it, but we do have to ask. We must seek wisdom from God with humility also. And the only way to accumulate wisdom is to obey or follow the wisdom God gives you, expecting to receive more only if you follow through with that which you’ve already gained.
Why is there money in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, When he has no sense? ~ Proverbs 17:16
