The temperatures are warming and it’s time to get out and enjoy a beautiful spring. Why not choose to wear a feminine skirt rather than the usual jeans for your next spring outing? Today I’m sharing two fun, feminine skirt outfits from Kohl’s.

SALE ALERT: Kohl’s is offering 20% off through 4/23 with code SHOP20

Bright Pink Tiered Skirt and Striped Tee
tiered maxi skirt // v-neck tee // denim jacket in Jeanie (TTS, wearing a medium) // strappy slide sandals in latte // crochet crossbody (worn as a clutch) // filigree teardrop earrings // double strand necklace

Both of my skirt outfits are one very simple formula: feminine skirt + simple tee or tank + denim jacket + strappy sandals = great spring style. And isn’t that the best kind of spring outfit? Absolutely.

Tiered Skirt

Isn’t this magenta plaid tiered maxi skirt just darling? I love the length for my 5’8″ frame. And the elasticized waistband is such a nice comfortable width. The skirt runs true to size and comes in other prints and colors, include a versatile, chic solid black. It’s available in x-small to xx-large.

T-shirt and Jacket

I topped the pretty magenta plaid tiered maxi skirt with a fresh navy and white striped v-neck tee that is available in a plethora of colors and patterns. I was really surprised by how much I like this Croft & Barrow tee. It’s super soft and such a nice thickness and weight. Then I completed the look with a new Levi’s original trucker denim jacket in the wash Jeanie. Yes, my other denim jacket that I’ve had for over 30 years is this same style – and you’ll see it further down. But that’s just how much I love this iconic jacket. I didn’t want another brand; I wanted another Levi’s jacket!

Crossbody as a Clutch

I’m carrying it as a flirty clutch, but this sweet crochet bag actually has a strap that I’ve tucked inside. So you can carry it as a crossbody, too. Such a fun summer bag!

If you’ve been around here long, you know I don’t wear skirts a lot. I struggle with finding ones that fit me right or than I can easily style. But I’m loving both of these fun, feminine skirts I found at Kohl’s. Next I’m sharing a sweet floral button-front midi skirt topped with a pretty pink ribbed tank and my Sweet Jane Levi’s denim jacket.

This feminine button-front midi skirt is available in sizes x-small to xx-large and runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium very comfortably. It features a flat front with button closure and an elasticized waistband in the back.

You could pull forth so many colors in this pretty button-front midi skirt, but I chose to pair it with a pink tank.

Pink Tank

The ribbed tank runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium very comfortably. It has lots of stretch but gently hugs your body without stretching out or feeling tight. The ribbed tank comes in over a dozen pretty neutrals and colors in sizes x-small to xx-large.

Jewelry for Skirt Outfits

I kept both of my skirt outfits feminine and casual with simple jewelry. I love the layered look of this double strand necklace. And I’d enjoyed my silver toned filigree teardrop earrings so much (no longer available) that I purchased the gold ones, too.

Ooh! We can’t forget those sweet strappy sandals.

Strappy Sandals

Nude sandals are such a must-have in a spring and summer wardrobe. They help create an uninterrupted leg line whether you’re wearing shorts, skirt or pants. These strappy slide sandals are surprisingly comfortable and so easy to walk in. They do come in a nice range of nude tones (I’m wearing the latte), too, but only in full sizes. I normally wear a 9.5 so I sized down to a 9 for a great fit.

Blessed for My Day

I’ve been a long admirer of Dr. Charles Stanley, who passed at the age of 90 earlier this week. He is known for, among other things, saying that we reap what we sow, later than we sow it and more than we sow. In other words, you can’t sow bad habits into your life and expect to reap good health. You reap what you sow. You also can’t assume that you are getting away with sowing bad seeds into your life simply because you’ve experienced no consequences so far. The harvest generally comes later. And you need to count on the fact that little seeds of faithfulness or unfaithfulness both produce big dividends. You reap more than your sow.

Have you found that to be true in your life? Sure you have. I have, too. And yet I continue to sow seeds that I really do not want to produce a harvest in my life and I frequently neglect to plant the seeds that I do want to become fruitful. Can you think of seeds you are planting in your life that you need to discard of? Maybe gossip, poor eating habits, laziness, criticisms or bad financial habits? What about seeds that you’re not planting enough of? Like reading the Bible daily, memorizing scripture, serving others, words of kindness and encouragement? These are the things I’m thinking on today. I invite you to join me.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap. ~ Galatians 6:7

  1. Those 2 skirt outfits today absolutely beautiful , I too don’t wear enough skirts , but really love it when I do , has anyone noticed that when they wear a skirt , immediately you walk/sit and act more feminine rather than casual ? . Ooh your BFMD today really made me think of things and some bad habits many moons ago that did come and bite me on the butt ! Im pleased you put that there today just as a little reminder to mind how we go as it really does come back to you . Bless your dad …..going to Greece , good for him , have a gorgeous time with your mum ❤️Xx

  2. Good morning Kay,

It’s so sweet that you’ll get to spend time with your mom while your dad is on his trip to Greece. I loved the first skirt outfit, and I do have something similar I’ve used for resort wear. But, I never thought to pair it with a stripe shirt! Thanks for the inspo and I LOVE the BFMY.
