Happy Friday! Today I’m excited to share with you a couple of new pieces from the mother-daughter design team at Clara Sunwoo. These fluid feminine fashions are perfect for travel or everyday wear, but they’ll also make you feel unique and lovely. #gifted

I generally tend to wear more structured clothing, but I have to admit, I love the soft motion and feminine fluidity that New York design house Clara Sunwoo incorporates into all of their fashions. For me these are special pieces that I will wear for festive occasions, vacations and magical moments this spring and summer. But if you’re looking for a designer that really gets women and creates fashions that highlight a woman’s curves, look no further than Clara Sunwoo. You absolutely can build a complete wardrobe around their timeless styles and durable, signature fabrics.

“Since 1997, Clara Sunwoo and her daughter, Roseann Sunwoo, have worked together to create timeless designs that fuse classic styles with a modern edge. The Clara Sunwoo collection combines two generations of fashion expertise.”

wrinkle-free, washable, and pack friendly

Every Clara Sunwoo creation is designed to drape softly on a woman’s body, accentuating curves and adding motion that flatters while you move about your day. The custom created prints and patterns are modern and memorable, unique and bold. And, perhaps best of all, you get all of that with fabrics that are wrinkle-free, washable, and pack friendly.

Kick Front High Slit Pant

When Clara Sunwoo offered me the opportunity to try some of their new spring arrivals and share them with you, I selected the Kick Front High Slit Pant in Chain Ring and the Crossover Faux Wrap Top in black. I think this combination looks timeless and versatile. And I know I will enjoy wearing the Crossover Faux Wrap Top with other things like white jeans or flowy skirts, too.

Clara Sunwoo

I used the Clara Sunwoo size guides to determine the best fit for me, and I’m wearing a Small in both pieces very comfortably. (Small = sizes 8/10) Both garments have lots of give in the fabric, but don’t stretch out with wear. They are silky soft and so comfortable. But the clothing also feels elevated and special.

With unique and elevated pieces like these, I didn’t feel the need to over-accessorize. I completed the look with my gold chunky chain necklace, gold twist stud earrings, pearl ball bracelet and gold mesh watch.

Before I show you another look I created with the Kick Front High Slit Pant in Chain Ring, I want to share with you that you can always get 10% off at Clara Sunwoo with code KAY10. And I always have a link to Clara Sunwoo in my Promo Code page, found through the top menu. (It’s worth it to check in there occasionally. I have lots of great promo codes for you!)

White Fisherman Sweater

Just to demonstrate how the Kick Front High Slit Pants could work in your wardrobe, I topped them with my white cotton fisherman sweater. I also swapped out my Ally leather ankle boots (use code KAYBOOTS for $50 off) for some simple but elevated black flat sandals (more affordable). I pictured this outfit as perfect for sitting outside after dinner at a nice resort or even for breakfast on the patio. I’d call it resort casual.

I showed it in this video before Christmas. And let me know if you have any questions. You can shop the individual pieces through the links in the photo captions and text. And remember to use code KAY10 at checkout for 10% off your purchase.

  1. I love the outfits! I bought a similar pair of pants last summer to wear to a dressy wedding weekend event and loved them. I am particularly intrigued by that black top though. I love that it is structured yet ‘graces’ the belly area which I’m so self conscious about. Thank your for sharing Kay, and as always thank you for brightening my day!

  2. I actually love this outfit! I like black and white combos and I can see adding red or other pops of color also. I all ready have some Clara Sunwoo pieces in my closet. Their was my favorite boutique here in town that was open for 26 years. Unfortunately, they closed during the Covid panademic. They were a small business, privately owed and ended up having to close during all this horrible time. Too bad, for many small businesses here and businesses around the world. Love your hair and glad you had such a nice Birthday.

    1. Hahaha! Well that just means the top is doing its job. LOL! Because my waist is not tiny. These clothes really are made to flatter.

  3. Kay, these are beautiful outfits!! You’re rocking those slit-front pants!! I give you a 10+ on these combos. Have a fantabulous weekend!!

  4. Wow! Beautiful clothing and you look fabulous. I hope we see more from this line on you and the blog. Belated Happy Birthday!

  5. Hi Kay, I love Clara Sun Woo clothing and have a couple pieces. I’m currently on vacation and have been wearing my black crops several times this week. Very versatile clothing. Easy to dress up or down. Definitely a brand I am enjoying.

  6. I absolutely love the pants and the top. I am going to check out the website. Thanks for showing us Clara Sunwoo.

  7. Kay, I’m so glad you celebrated you on your birthday. I don’t think any other content provider works as hard as you do to add value and enhance depth as you do. Happy birthday!

  8. Happy belated birthday Kay. You look great in the black top and pants. Very slimming. That’s my style. I like flattering tops like that and I am a big fan of flare or wide leg pants or jeans. I like the white sweater too but the black is just so flattering.

  9. Good Morning Kay and Happy Belated Birthday. Sure hope you enjoyed your special day. We were certainly blessed with some pretty/unusually warm days this week here in Ohio. I too celebrated my birthday on Tuesday. My long time friend and I went to lunch the following day and then went to the Home and Garden show in Columbus. Great time! I love, love those slit front pants. They look great on you. Since following your blog, you have so inspired me. I have changed up my wardrobe and am trying to be more stylish. Of course, I have two daughters that always let me know when I look out of style. Lol. Thanks for all your great styles and tips!!

  10. Their clothes are absolutely beautiful on you! I’ve never heard of them, so thank you for sharing! I’m definitely going to check them out!
